"Are any of you interested in doing idol work?"

The five each thought about the answer, before coming up with their answers. All five displayed interest.

"Lex, bring them to the building tomorrow right after classes."

Lex's father left the room, before his mother bowed, following in his footsteps.

The five decided to leave the mansion, then heading to Apple Garden to discuss their game plan. Everyone ordered some lunch, before throwing in their share of the bill.

"Same positions like we do in class?"

The moves were agreed on, and Yun laid back on the seat, preparing to take a break. He then asked Lex if his father has instruments at the location, as none of them actually owned any instruments except for Lex and Kas. Lex confirmed that there are instruments in each room, and watched as their lunch arrived.

Ren began to dig into his food, before stumbling on a thought that could interfere with potential work.

"I can't believe all five of us could possibly be in a unit together. What's next after this? Lex still has two years, and Khaston only has one left. Should we take a break after we make our debut so we can finish our schoolwork?"

Kas did say that the call would be a smart move, and then finished his meal slowly.

"During Terry's class, let's give it a trial run tomorrow."

The next day, the five stuck to Kas's plan to give performing as a unit a test during Terry's class. Nobody gave a reason why, as they all believed that the effect would only bring persistence to the rest of the students.

Khaston Kas Yun Ren Lex

You're putting on a stubborn front and being unreasonable

Throughout the day, classes went normally. During Kas's lesson on fights, he was tackled through the window by Mudae.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE LIL BRO IS HAVING A CHANCE AT AN IDOL UNIT!"

Khaston, Yun, Cleo, and the Chandlers all facepalmed the moment Mudae bursted into the room. Mudae quickly used time magic to repair the window, and then apologized for crashing the lesson, before asking Kas if he could fight Lara so he could see how much potential she has on the battlefield.

Mudae was given permission, and the entire class moved to the back field. Lara then pulled out her kunai from her hair, followed by Mudae summoning two swords cloaked in light. Kas explained Mudae's swords to the students, before bringing them to the wall to watch. He then used a powerful spell to cast a cloak over the field, allowing the two to fight to their full extent.

"Mudae wields the Twin Fates, a pair of swords with overwhelming durability, specializing in purification magic. Kyra told me that his swords have grown along with him, and represent his life force. If they were to break, he will die, but it does not occur the other way around. The same could be said about Xeno, but I'm not sure what his life is linked to.

The fight then began. Mudae began by firing three icicles at Lara, who then threw three kunai, destroying the icicles. She threw her hand out, before stealing her teacher's transformation. She decided to attempt to end it quick by firing explosions left and right.

Mudae then transformed, deciding to finish it quick. He then kicked Lara into the air, before entering a combo of punches and kicks, then pushing her down with a powerful blast of light, leaving a growing cloud of smoke.

The smoke cleared, and Mudae started falling. Lara had stolen his power, and launched a wave of condensed darkness toward him. To finish the battle, she then grabbed Mudae by the chest, slamming him to the ground, knocking him out.

Kas waited ten minutes before Mudae woke back up. He got rid of the barrier, before dismissing class.

Classes were dismissed, and everybody was on their way to their daily routine. Kas met Lex at the entrance, folowed by Ren and Yun, before Khaston finally made it out of the building. Before leaving, Lex asked if anybody still had anything to do. When nobody spoke up, he then led everybody to the central area of Eastern Randall. He led everyone to a building, which looked quite bland. He led everybody in, and reminded the receptionist (who was his mother) about his father's offer from yesterday.

The five then followed Lex's mother to an empty studio, which was already preoccupied with instruments. On the other side was a transparent wall.

"Your trial run starts in five minutes. There, Director Suul will make his appearance. Your objective is to please him."

The five then made their way to their respective positions: Khaston on vocals, Ren on guitar, Lex as the DJ, Kas on keyboard, and Yun on drums.

From the other side of the wall was Suul.

"Good afternoon, Father."

Lex's father sat down and put on some headphones.

"You can start now. These let me hear inside your room."

If you had just chosen harmless words

and kept spreading that smile around,

you would have been able to live without clashing with anyone.

The five bowed, and Suul finished taking notes.

"I'll come with news in two days. Prepare for some suspense, as it takes me a day to make important decisions."

Suul then dismissed the five, before they all took the earliest trip back to Eastern Randall. When they arrived, Lara and Mudae dragged the five to Khaston's house, before being dragged to the backyard by Katie. There, everyone was celebrating the fact that they survived the audition. The party went on all night long

The two days passed, and Suul handed Lex a closed envelope. "Read this in front of the others. I have to head back to the city later, I have to find someone to play keyboard for him. Kas still has to finish everything up at the school."

Lex then gathered Kas, Khaston, Ren, and Yun at the rooftop. He then read the letter his father gave him.

"Guys, the Forde Project is a go. We got the start!"
