Back in time, to a time during the second war. The war had just started, and the people at Randall knew they weren't safe. So, Eriole, the emperor, had an idea to move all of the people in the outer regions of the empire inward. This included Khaston, a 16 year old boy currently in a questioning phase of his life. He is starting his junior year at Eastern Randall Academy of the Arts, and could not be any readier to start.

Khaston looked at himself in the mirror, clothes off. He was about to enter the shower, and he looked at his ear piercing. His naturally white hair currently having some black tips, he decided to redo the dye later. He got in the shower, and cleaned himself, singing during it. His younger sister currently asleep, he finished quietly, and ate his breakfast, before waking up his sister.

"Katie, I'm leaving now! Make sure to go to the doctor!" Khaston yelled, as he walked out of the door. He took a new route to school, currently lost. He saw someone in the same green blazer as him, and asked for directions. The student was a senior, so his tie was a different color compared to Khaston's red tie.

"I'm new to this route, sorry. I'm Khaston. And you may be?"

The man has cyan hair, purple eyes, and his most notable feature were his shades.

"Yun. I'm in the school band, and I'm the drummer. I also play for the choir kids sometimes, and I'm sure you seem to be a good fit for them."

Yun moved Khaston's long ponytails so they rested on his shoulders.

The two arrived at the school, and stepped foot on campus. They sat on the ground in the auditorium, awaiting the headmaster. As soon as the headmaster, a decrepit old woman, walked onto the stage, she then reminded the students that school was starting tomorrow, and that they need to get their performance plotted for the spring battle coming up in a month.

Yun closed his eyes, and cleaned his shades.

"Did you hear? Someone new to campus is teaching a martial arts class," said Yun out of the blue.

Everyone stood up and left the auditorium once the headmaster was done talking. People stuck around campus, and Khaston followed Yun to the roof.

"Yun, did you wear your shades because you had a migraine today?" Khaston asked out of the blue. Yun sighed, knowing he would get that a lot.

"No. The problem with my eyes is that I'm beginning to go blind. My eyes are getting very sensitive to the light, and my shades are tinted really dark so I can see."

Khaston turned around, and realized that someone followed the two of them, and is braiding his hair. Quickly, he backed towards the fence.

"H-Hey! What the fuck, man?"

The person braiding his hair was actually his sister Katie. She is a year younger than him, and she has the same white hair that he has. Seeing that he was about to slap someone, she decided to slap him first, with a fish.

"Khaston, Mom's waiting for you outside, and she looks like she wants you to remove your hair dye!"

Khaston sighed, knowing he was going to have to give up the black hair sometime soon. "Whatever, they were just clip-ons."

Khaston threw his small black extensions at Katie, and went down the stairs. Yun followed him, and asked him if he got his schedule yet. He got hit with a crumpled paper ball, and saw Katie with her brother's class list. Yun read it, then clenched his teeth in nervousness.

"Damn, you have Kayla first thing when we return. All I can warn you about is that she's kind of a strange one. She teaches sex ed, but ends up having to stop midway to calm down."

Yun continued reading Khaston's list, then handed them back.

"The martial arts instructor is pretty quiet, and I swear I think I saw him playing support keyboard at a concert by Zen."

Khaston blinked twice, confused.

"Oh, you don't know who Zen is? He's from another world, one millennium ago. Nobody knows how long ago it was when he debuted."

Katie grabbed Khaston's hair, and pulled him to the entrance. They arrived outside, and followed their mother to the store, where they spent a while looking for fruits. Eventually, they went to the barber shop, where they re-dyed Khaston's hair to make it whiter than their teeth. After paying for the hair dye, the three went to the gym, where they began exercising. They made Khaston start lifting weights, seeing that his body is built like a twig. In the room behind him, there was a brown haired man standing with a whip and keyboard. Maybe this was the man Yun was talking about. He turned around, and saw the man practicing his fighting.

Eventually tired, Khaston cleaned the weights and put them back. He waited for his mom and sister to finish, and they returned home so Khaston can get his things ready for the next day. He remembered there was a concert tonight, so he went outside when it got dark, and followed Yun to the center of town. They saw an empty stage, and a man with white hair and a black streak, orange eyes, green and white sweater, and green ripped khakis appeared within a spotlight, along with the same man from the gym. Immediately, Khaston recognized the white haired man as Zen, the performer Yun mentioned.
