Previously on Tragedy- "I should be saying that to you...did you explain everything" I lean closer to Tim and nod, he unlatches our hand before pulling me into his side with an arm around my shoulder "She explained everything if you don't mind we would like to hear your perspective". I heard S/N sigh before sitting down "Well-"

A/N- Well I missed two weeks...so sorry :( Hope this double update makes up for it even if they are short chapters! :)

S/N P.O.V

"I guess it all started when Y/N was about 7 years old, she was such a bright kid and very cheerful. Smart and helpful at the same time" I paused and Dick took this time to speak "No offense Y/N I can't picture you as cheerful" Y/N smiled "No offense taken Dick, it's ok...I can't believe that was me either".

I sigh before continuing "I was in high school when I started to notice a change in her, she used to be open with people and then she started cutting herself off from people. She was always energetic but then she always seemed like a ghost. Like one time when..."

Flashback

I was getting ready to leave to go to a party with one of my friends. I picked out my chosen outfit and started on my makeup when I saw through my mirror that my door cracked open and my little sister appeared. I smiled and turned to the door "Come on in Y/N" She pushed open the door and came over to me "How long will you be gone" She looked like she was trying to force a smile making me confused.

"Why, did you want to do something tonight" She looked back at the door quickly before turning back to me "No I just wanted to know" I continued with my light makeup look "A couple hours possibly, I will be back before your bedtime hopefully". I finish with some mascara and lipgloss before grabbing my shoes and strapping them on

"Hopefully or are you sure" I stopped in my tracks as I was going to look at myself in the mirror on the back of my door "I don't know Y/N, I'm sorry. I will try my best, I promise" I grab my phone and start walking to the front door as Y/N follows behind me holding one of her arms "S/N I-" she gets cut off as we enter the living room area where dad is watching the tv and mom is making dinner.

Dad looks at me "Try and be back before 1am sweetheart" I roll my eyes "It's a high school party Dad, not college, It should be done long before then". Mom comes over to me and puts her hand on my shoulders "You look beautiful honey" I smile and pull her in for a hug "Thanks Mom" I pull away and look back at Y/N who had her head down so I frowned at her "I'll be back soon Y/N, I promise" I go toward the door with mom and dad waving me off and Y/N is still in the same position.

End of Flashback

"That was a little while after her 7th birthday...she was acting a little funny but I just assumed maybe she was upset I was going out". I shake my head "I never would have thought- our parents never had any problems with me and were caring. Now that I know what was going on I should have known way sooner than I found out" I felt a hand on my shoulder "you were just being a teenager, besides it seems like Y/N did a good job at hiding it for someone of her age at the time" I nodded and turned to see it was Kates hand which made me smile "I never wanted you to know" I looked up at Y/N when she spoke, "but- why, I was your sister and you should have told me".

Y/N P.O.V

I look at S/N "They never treated you badly, I wanted you guys to still be the family you were before I came along...like all the photos of you three where you were all happy. That very same day, when you left for that party, is when I made that decision" S/N had tears in her eyes "Why would you do that, they were abusing you Y/N".

I felt the tears come down my face "When you were leaving and you all said your goodbyes I saw a real family and I didn't want to get in the way of that. Besides I wanted you to enjoy your life without worrying about me or having to take care of me if we left them...you deserved better, I wanted you to go to your parties, have a boyfriend, and go to college- you weren't gonna have that if you were stuck with me."

I paused and her tears were finally rolling down her face "When I said your name that day, I was going to tell you but after I saw how you all were...I couldn't bring myself to do it- I was right though...you didn't get to stay in college or have any relationship that wasn't me".

I felt S/N's arms wrap around me "Y/N I would give all that up over and over again if it meant I could have saved you from that living hell earlier" She sat on the other side of me after she pulled away from our hug "none of that matter as much as you do. You were my baby sister and you are my family no matter how those monster treated you".

A small smile rested on my face "I still wish that now that I'm older you would go out more and maybe consider going back to school. You were looking forward to attending fashion school for so many years...and I ruined that one date you had a few years ago with my panic attack".

She chuckled while wiping away my tears away "I never went out after that because I came home to you in a bloodied-up bathtub because you thought they were back for you" I bit my lip "Sorry" she shook her head with a smile still etched on her face.

"It's fine Y/N don't apologize you had every right to be scared. Besides the date wasn't the best and no unworthy guy is ever going to come between us" I chuckle at that "Happy to help then" she gasps and lightly slaps my shoulder.

"You could have helped with a call not me coming home to that, you scared me half to death" I finally become aware of everyone around us again when I felt Tim squeeze my knee making me turn to everyone "Sorry" they all laughed "you two get locked it moments the same way you and Tim do, we disappear into the background" I blush and pull at my hood.

"They came back this time and you stayed calmly without cutting...all because" I knew what she was about to say and put my hand over her mouth "I'm older now, nothing else" I glared at her and she had a mischievous look in her eye as I removed my hand.

I felt Tim grab my hand making me turn to him "I am glad you came here, I don't ever want to get a call from your sister her telling me you've done something stupid" I smiled and shook my head "didn't really have much choice, she certainly wasn't gonna let me stay home" he smirked "good". "See once again you two are in your own world" We both jump and turn to everyone else who is staring at us making me clench up.

Tim pulls me into his chest from the side making me smile "Why must you always embarrass her" Kate laughs "You make it way too easy" I move my arms from my lap and wrap one around his waist from the front and the other on his shoulder.

I felt his hand pull down my hood and start running through my hair making me sigh in contentment. "S/N we need to know what his car looked like" I open my eyes and pull slightly away from Tim and Bruce's question "Why" he turns to me "Because we are going to help"
