Disclaimer; I do not own Supernatural. If I did, all of Sam and Dean's family wouldn't have died. (Who am I kidding? Yes they would lmao.)

"Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." -Lilo & Stitch
THE THREE RUSHED TO A CLOSE car, taking cover behind it. Emery felt hyper aware of Dean's presence, feeling her heart cracking when he didn't make sure she was there. They had broken up, but it was to protect her from him. From his loss, and the mourning, and he was an idiot to think she was going to be okay just because they broke up. She wanted to turn around and deck him, but it seemed that she couldn't look at him.
It hurt too much.
The three of them rushed around to see Ellen, Emery feeling some kind of emotions towards it. She had heard about the Roadhouse from Dean and had been scared that the older woman had been burned to a crisp. But here she was, in front of them, looking good and not charred at all.
"Ellen? Ellen!" Dean shouted, yelling, before hugging the shocked woman. Emery walked away, letting the three of them escort her back into the house. She walked to the middle of where they had been before, looking around. Behind her, Dean turned back to get her, though Bobby put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head. The older man knew she had a lot of feelings inside and needed to take them out somehow.
Once she knew that they were a safe distance away, Emery broke down. The tears flooded her vision, rolling down her cheeks as she collapsed to the ground. All the people she has lost, all that pain and grief started rushing back. Her adopted parents, John, Ellen for a little bit, Ash, Sam though Dean brought him back, and now Dean. And there was probably more. Emery couldn't think straight, feeling her head get caught in the thought of Dean. She wasn't sure she could take seeing him dead.
But she wouldn't leave him. Not like this.
After she cried, sobbing and pulling her hair, she stood up and wiped her tears. She needed that, that small moment of weakness for the upcoming events. Emery walked back into the house, heading to the washroom to make sure her eyes weren't to red. After splashing cold water on her face, she walked out to the room where they were all leaning over a map, listening to Bobby.
Emery walked over to Ellen, needing the comfort of the woman, hugging her tightly. Sam looked at her oddly, but Emery ignored him. Then, the brunette stood between Sam and Ellen, listening to what Bobby had to say about Wyoming.
He pointed to a map that Emery hadn't seen before, but had x's drawn on it in strategic points. "Each of these x's is an abandoned Frontier Church. All mid 19th Century and all of them built by Samuel Colt."
"Samuel Colt?" Dean asked, but Emery couldn't look at him. It hurt too much. To see him sitting there in all his excellent glory, those pink, full lips and amazing green eyes. "The demon killing, gun making Samuel Colt?"
"Yep and there's more," Bobby said, leaning over the map. "He built private railway lines, connecting church to church. That just happened to lay out like this." Bobby drew a star on the map, connecting each x and Emery felt shock fill her body. It was a Devil's Trap.
"Tell me that's not what I think it is," Dean said, staring at the map. Emery stood in shock too, wondering why Samuel Colt had made a huge trap in the middle of Wyoming.
"It's a Devil's Trap," Sam answered him, looking at everyone in the room.
"A hundred square mile Devil's Trap," Emery pointed out, her eyes connecting with Bobby's, Ellen's, and Sam's, but skipping over Dean. Sam seemed to notice, looking at her with furrowed eyebrows. What happened while he was 'knocked out'?
"That's brilliant," Dean said, staring at the map. "Iron lines, demon's can't cross."
"I've never heard of anything that massive," Ellen said, staring at the map too.
"No one has," Bobby chimed in.
"And after all these years, none of the lines are broken, I mean, it still works?" Dean asked, looking up at Bobby, who shrugged.
"Definitely," Sam said, staring at the map.
"How do you know?" Dean asked, but Emery walked off into the kitchen. It was all too much to handle, so she grabbed the bottle of whiskey, unscrewing the cap, and taking a swig. The alcohol burned her throat as she listened to Sam talk about the omens that had been circling around that region of Wyoming. And also the rest about the cemetery in the middle.
After Sam told them about Jake (that stupid fucking son of a bitch), Dean walked into the kitchen, watching Emery take her fifth swig of whiskey. "Are you sure you should be drinking that? We got a big hunt coming up."
"I shoot better when I'm tipsy," Emery said, her voice cold. She couldn't act like his friend. She wouldn't. Her heart was broken and if he was gonna act fine, so was she. She just wasn't going to act like his friend.
"Listen, Em," Dean said, looking at his hands. "You can't be mad at me."
"Why not, Dean?" Emery slammed the bottle on the table, before spinning around to look at him. "Why can't I be mad? You broke my heart because you needed your family. You didn't realize that there were people that are just like your family that you could have leaned on for support."
Dean looked up from where he was fidgeting with his hands, a glare on his face. "Emery, you don't underst-"
"Then make me understand?!" Emery shouted and she just realized her and Dean were chest to chest, looking at each other with a glares on their faces. And then, suddenly, he was kissing her and she was kissing him back and she couldn't stop herself. Her hands were tangled in his hair, tugging roughly as his hands were under her shirt, on her bare hips, squeezing. She felt them slowly dragging her shirt up, before a cough split the two of them apart.
Sam was in the doorway, looking at them with raised eyebrows and a smirk on his face. "Come on, guys, wait till after we save the world to do that."
Emery coughed, knowing her lips were swollen. She then reached behind her, grabbing the whiskey and taking a big swig, before passing it to Dean. "We're gonna need it."

Hiding in a cemetery at night was not something Emery liked to do. Sure, she was used to digging up graves in the middle of the night, but not waiting for the person who killed Sam.
As Jake got to the entrance of the crypt, everyone rushed out, guns aimed at the soldier. "Howdy, Jake!" Emery yelled, looking at the man with a glare on her face. The man turned around, looking at each of the five with their guns pointed at him.
He looked at Sam, a surprised look on his face. "Wha-? You were dead. I killed you."
"Yeah, well, next time finish the job," Sam said, a glare taking over his face, pointing the gun a little higher, obviously at Jake's head.
"I did! I cut clean through you spinal cord, man." Sam looked over at Dean and Bobby looked at Sam. Emery almost felt like face palming. Dean's excellent plan of not telling Sam, everyone. "You can't be alive. You can't be."
"Okay, just take it real easy there, son," Bobby said, looking at Jake with a glare too.
"And if I don't?"
"Wait and see!" Sam shouted, obviously ready to kill this guy.
"Think you're a tough guy all of a sudden, what are you gonna do, kill me?" Sam nodded once as a yes.
"It's a thought."
"You had your chance, you couldn't."
"I won't make that mistake twice."
Jake laughed, smiling, and Emery looked at Dean as he spoke up, "what are you smiling at, bitch?"
Jake looked at Ellen, smiling, "Hey, Lady, do me a favour and put that gun to your head."
Ellen did as told, Emery looking at her with shock. The brunette looked at Jake, then the people around her, before internally sighing. She didn't know if she could get it to work, but it had to be tried. The brunette walked over and took Ellen's hand, feeling the power suddenly come alive in her. "Put the gun down, Ellen."
The blue essence travelled through Ellen's veins and the woman stared wide eyed at her as she put the gun down. Hell, everyone was, even Jake, who had been explaining the demon blood thing. Emery heard the gun shot before she felt it, the bullet ripping through her chest. She tasted blood as she looked down, staring at the wound.
No, not like this. They were going to find out everything right now, because that was a clear shot to kill. Emery heard several gun shots fired and she felt Dean catch her body, looking into her blue eyes. "Emery, no, not you too."
Emery shook her head, shifting uncomfortably. "Are-" it was hard to breath, but she needed to know. "Are the bullets out of me?"
Dean looked at her with sad, confused eyes. "What? Yeah, Emery, they went clean through."
"Good," Emery took a deep breath. "Go get 'em, Tiger."
She exhaled, her life force draining out of her.
It had seemed to happen quicker this time, because when she woke up, Ellen and Bobby were closing the door and Dean was by a tombstone, Azazel standing above him. Sam was trapped against a tree. It probably was only a couple minutes that she was out, but so much had happened.
She jumped up, ignoring the boys as she ran to the gate, looking into the fiery pits of Hell. Ellen and Bobby looked at her in shock, looking at the still blood stained shirt as the girl started pushing on Ellen's door. "Oh, come on, you two. I'll explain everything in a little bit. Let's just close this Gate, yeah?"
The three heard a gunshot just as they closed the Gate, after a battle with whatever force was keeping it open. It had been hard and Emery's shoulder felt like it had dislocated again, but she had closed Hell. And saved the world from literal Hell on Earth, even if a lot of demons had escaped and where probably going to start going on a rampage. But she'd be there to help clean that up too.
Everyone turned around to see John standing up and Emery felt herself smile. He had gotten out. She had hoped that would happen, because now he could find peace. And, instead of focusing on what Sam was doing, John gave Dean that smile and the shoulder touch the man had always longed for, ever since he was little. John then looked at Sam, giving him a small nod, before backing up and connecting eyes with Emery.
Thank you, she heard John say, wondering how she could hear him when he didn't open his mouth. They need you. Please stay with them.
Emery nodded, before John disappeared in a flash of light. Both Sam and Dean looked at each other, before going to look at Azazel. Emery, Bobby, and Ellen watched for a little bit, before starting to walk back to the car. Ellen demanded Emery to explain, Bobby not seeming all surprised that she up and kicking again. Emery explained all that she knew and then Bobby jumped in.
She was apparently a Pulcherrimam. Which, as Bobby explained, was an Angel that chose the human life way back when and has been reincarnated every time they died (by the hand of a demon is the only way to kill them apparently). And the whole controlling people power came from the fact that God didn't want to leave her unprotected, so he gave her a defense mechanism.
Ellen was quiet for the rest of the walk, taking in all that was conveyed onto her. When they walked out into the clearing they had parked, Emery stayed behind, sulking in the shadows. She listened as they talked about an army and how the boys better be ready for war.
Emery walked out after Dean had threw the Colt in the Impala's truck, claiming they had work to do. "Hey, Bobby, you forgot this."
Everyone jumped, Sam and Dean turning to the girl as she held out the gun she had been using. Dean looked at her wide eyed, before pulling his gun on her. Sam did the same, but Bobby yelled at them to put them down.
The two of them then explained the same thing they had said to Ellen to the boys, who both looked like they didn't believe it. Emery rolled her eyes, when suddenly it seemed to click in the Winchesters' brains and they both stared at Emery wide eyed.
In the Impala, Sam letting Emery have the front seat, claiming he needed to sleep, Dean looked at Emery from the corner of his eyes before focusing on driving again. "Em, you know I'm sorry, right? I do love you."
"Then why does it matter, Dean? Why can't we stay together?"
"Because I don't want you getting hurt."
"I'm gonna get hurt either way, Winchester. At least let me have the choice of whether you stay my friend or my boyfriend."
"Fine. But it's not my fault if my death hits you harder then it should."
"Well, I'll deal with it, like I always do."
Dean looked at her, before grabbing her hand. Emery smiled, knowing that she had convinced him that it was okay for them to be together. She had gotten them back together.
"Did you know that Pulcherrimam means beautiful flower in Latin."
"No, Dean, only weirdos know that."
