At the beginning of the 21st century, a young and healthy male baby child was born into this world in a maternity hospital somewhere in Kawaguchi city on the 7th of August of the year 2000. The early summer sunshine entered the curtains, shining upon that baby boy's bright skin, occasionally he opened his brilliant amber eyes, facing his dad and his bespectacled mom. And this boy, Nobi Nobita, proceeded to cry his eyes out, just like other newborns...

Another child was born on the 29th of February in the same year at Tokyo International Hospital in the city centre. His child is named Honekawa Suneo, and he was born into a rich businessman's family. His prominent beak-like lips inherited from his dad and his mother was the first feature to be obvious at the time of his birth.

600 kilometres away down south from Tokyo, in the old Japanese cultural centre, a healthy baby girl was born in the city of Osaka on the 8th of May that same year. Born to a family of a young novice businessman and a woman of British and Korean descent, Minamoto Shizuka shined brightly with her blue eyes soon after she left her mother's womb.

In that year, another child however was already born further south, it was a baby child named Gouda Takeshi. He was much older than them all, he was born on the 20th of December in the year 1999 in Okinawa Islands down south of Japan.

You might be wondering how they got together closely and lived in the same neighbourhood despite being born kilometres away in different prefectures.

Well, it started at the beginning of the year 2004, when Shizuka's dad, Yoshio, moved to a company based in Kawaguchi City, a satellite city of the nation capital, Tokyo. They moved to a neighbourhood near a small hill near the city centre.

The Minamoto family soon moved into a house, a few hundred metres away in mid-2004. Michiko, Shizuka's mother, happened to know Nobita's mom because both were good friends back in high school. Because of that, Michiko decided to pay her old friend a visit.

This is where Nobita met Shizuka for the first time, their parents knew both would be good friends after seeing that both get along very well, even at the first sight. There was not a single fight that happened between them, something that both parents expected to see when Nobita showed her a toy that he got. But instead of fighting, Nobita kindly shared what he had played and played it together with the young Shizuka.

One year later, Shizuka held her first birthday party in her new home, inviting almost all the toddlers from around her new neighbourhood, including Nobita, Suneo and Takeshi (Who moved into the neighbourhood in 2003) among others, including a girl that lived right beside Nobita's home.

And in that birthday party, Nobita met with Takeshi and Suneo. Both exchanged their childish humour, and played with Legos together, joking around, and it was the first occasion of Nobita calling Takeshi by his current name 'Gian'. Seeing these three boys were having fun, Shizuka jumped out from her chair and joined the trio. This is where the root of their everlasting bond of friendship between the three started to grow and only became stronger from then on.

However, it turned out that Nobita has a very big shortcoming in his mental state. Being in the same neighbourhood with the stronger Gian, he was subjected to multiple fits of abuse, both verbally and physically. As he couldn't defend himself and was relying upon Shizuka's help all the time.

Eventually, they entered Suimei Elementary School, the point where Nobita's mental shortcomings started to really become obvious. In his first 3 grades, however, it was all fine, but as soon as he entered 4th grade, his scores got worse and worse; instead of scoring 50-40 every time, he was now constantly getting nothing but zeroes all the way through.

One night, however, the young boy met a peculiarly blue robotic cat from one of the strangest places - his own desk drawer. He introduced himself as 'Doraemon' and he was tasked to help him change to be a better person and save his future (while also trying to save him from marrying Jaiko, Gian's younger sister).

However, his effort is nothing more than to appease Nobita's laziness even further. He did not improve a single inch from where he was then. He was still pretty lazy, and he kept scoring zeroes on all tests. The fact that he was supposed to marry Shizuka in the future was enough to make him unwilling to leave his comfort zone.

This went on all the way towards his Elementary School graduation, where he then took the tests to enter the nearest good Junior High School. Because he was still too lazy to study, he spent his night eating all the stuff he'll be tested on tomorrow. This resulted in him barely passing the middle school exams, much to the gang's surprise.
