Vince

Sebastian drove us one block away from Oxygen. Everyone was still — even him. I couldn't see why he had believed in Vince that fast. Of course, he was never found of Oliver, so believing his opposite would make sense... But I didn't think like him; I had a different perspective, it was Oliver whom we were talking about! I wasn't going to give up so fast...

Vince Snowfields was at the front seat and I could see him from the rear mirror. His jaw and part of his cheeks had a fair beard, very black, and pretty — which was kind of hard to believe because Vince didn't look like the kind of man who'd spend time in barbershops. Even though everything on him screamed "revolted" and "uncivil", the tidiness of details exposed a very beautiful and complex DNA. His nose was like his brother's — discreet, a little upturned. But Oliver's would form a little triangle on the tip when smiling. Vince however had not smiled once since we met.

"Do we have a plan?" Sebastian suddenly broke the silence; I knew the breaker was going to be him.

Vince delayed to respond. He looked through the window and watched a bunch of birds initiating their immigration. "Damon is with the chain on the top of the building. I will need a gun."

"No way," Sebastian said. "I have the gun."

Thanks, Sebastian! Thanks for understanding my point of view at least once!

"Okay, I will need to get there in the first place. Do you have the passwords?"

"I... I don't, actually." Sebastian twisted his piercing. "but... you have already entered. How? can't you do the same as before?"

"No. Everything is blocked, they reformed all the doors..."

"Wait," Sebastian smirked, evilly. "I think I know how to get the passwords you need."

      Oliver's POV

I sat on the porch to observe the stars.

The night was clear, no airplanes, no cars, no moon. Chilling, thinking about life... I took another sip of the drink I had to prepare to endure the next day. It was a matter of psychological preparation.

Small knocks came from the kitchen's door. I wondered what Bridgette had in mind in that time of dawn... and why she'd come through the emergency stairs instead of the main door.

"Angel?!" I simply forgot to low my tone. She was there looking at me with wide eyes, trembling a little.

"I found you" She said and trembled more.

I pulled her in. No cameras could see her, I wasn't allowed to receive girls in my apartment. "What are you doing here?"

She looked so nervous, more than the normal. "Vince. He... he is here, in the building, but Sebastian trusts him and I couldn't do much to stop them!"

I stared at her but she couldn't hold my gaze for too long.

      "Where are them?"

"In the bottom of the stairs. Sebastian is helping. But—"

"I will not do anything to Castle." I promised while getting a jacket from behind the door and a phone to call Room 9. "My brother is the only problem I must deal with now."

      Angelina's POV

My heart was pounding so hard it was about to escape through my mouth. I hated being alone with Oliver. I hated how I couldn't think straight when I was near him. He kept going down the stairs and I kept dying.

The French cologne of his room took my breath away as soon he opened the door. And when he pulled me inside - well - I couldn't help but stammering in most of my words. That place was huge, not bigger than my old house but bigger than anything given by the government. I had no idea why Oxygen had given him a whole apartment- and how he was able to keep that place without falling into a million dollars debt. The floor polishing made me want to lie down right there.

"Angel. Calm down." He said while stepping with the boots I was now staring at with adoration. They were lace-up boots oh-so-casually untied which seemed to say 'I'm cute but unpredictable.' Oliver Snowfields himself could make my eyes rebel outward.

      "Uhnn..." I moaned, regretting already!

"Say it, tell me what is bothering you."

Gosh, Angelina, how can you be so idiot? I let out another howl and grabbed his jacket. "Oliver, stop!"

      "Why?"

"Gosh, we need to go back."

"No, Angel, everything will work fine..."

      "No! you don't underst-"

We heard a click and two shadows fell from the ceiling. Vince pushed me to the side while Zarina knocked Oliver down. Sebastian came right after with the gun; he touched it against his back while pulling him up. This happened so fast I didn't have time to process things. Vince turned to me, his gaze spitting fire. "What you think you were doing, girl?! Which side are you in? You have almost told him to escape!" He yelled at me.

I felt sick, all eyes were in my direction; all eyes including Oliver's. He was between Sebastian's arms, making no effort to get out. He was probably waiting to understand things first. Waiting my deletion. Because I had betrayed him.

"Don't talk to her like this." Sebastian said firmly. "You asked for the passwords, Angelina brought you them. Be grateful."

Oliver's hand turned into a fist; but no other muscle moved.

We now ascended the staircases till the upper one. The door had a big security machine with enough space for like 10 secret characters. But all we needed to do was to press Oliver's thump against it.

      Bip.

Vince's smirk grew bigger as the door opened. And Oliver's face got darker as he only increased his silence. They were beginning to scary me so I marked my place glued by Zarina. We walked past the lots of creepy cages, including the one which was broken down. I instantly looked at Vince, and, to my surprise, he stepped near a fallen bar and gave it a huge kick. The sound hurt our ears. Everybody stopped walking. Was he crazy? Damon could hear as much as we could. And then everything would be lost.

Vince ignored everyone and sped his pace to the end of the corridor. And there we were. The place Sebastian and I were caged with nothing but dirt. Our cages were still there with the wall between. And empty. There was no living soul in that room.

"Damon's not here" Sebastian said; still holding Oliver.

Vince approached him. "Oh... what a pity... but you are." - he got his arm and twisted the gun out- while pushing both him and Oliver to the nearest cage. He kicked it closed, grinning, and fired on the lock so they couldn't get out, loading the bullets right after.

"Your turn, princesses" He pointed the gun to Zarina.

"No!!" I cried as the sound of the shot echoed across the walls- and Zarina fell by my feet, her hands on her breasts, bleeding like hell.

"I appreciate your bodyguard's small brain for things. Without her I would never get to you and invent such a beautiful story to tell."

"YOUR LIAR!" I screamed. "HOW COULD YOU?"

"Tsc tsc" He shook his head slowly, slipping a hand into his pocket- and pulling the chain out- brand new, shining between his fingers.

      I couldn't move.

"Bye, butterfly. Hope to see you again sometime. In a world with no Doctor Gene in it."

Vince left, treading two bullets in the main door behind him, locking us inside.
