Renjun doesn't hide the glare he aims at the brunet boy as he speaks up, "What are your plans for my best friend?"

The across from him raises a brow, "sorry?" Confusion very visible on everything in him.

"You heard me. What are your plans for my best friend."

"Which one? You have two." The brunet boy has the audacity to roll his eyes at the end.

Renjun tries to keep his anger in for a little bit and clicks his tongue loudly, "Na Jaemin. Your boyfriend."

If you're wondering how he got here.... It's really nothing. He came here to interrogate Jeno and tell him off if anything.

Has Renjun completely lost his mind by bothering Jeno behind Jaemin's back even though he was already told to leave them alone until he has his senses together?

"Why are you asking this...?" Jeno trails off, genuinely confused.

He isn't sure if Renjun has cleared his mind off of things.

He doesn't even know that the said boy and Jaemin had a little incident four days ago.

Renjun scoffs and replies with, "just to know what I should warn Jaemin about." Intending to come off as a threat.

Hearing that, it clicks in Jeno's head and it has him sighing almost tiredly. "Are you seriously still on about me being a toxic person to be with?"

"Congratulations, you got it."

"Yeah, unlike you." Jeno remarks instantly.

Closing the book he was reading, he clasps his hands together and looks at Renjun straight in the eye, almost as if they're in a business meeting.

Unlike Renjun, Jeno isn't glaring back at him. If anything, he looks at him in pity, quietly begging for him to stop and think this through.

"Listen, if you don't believe me about the whole cheating rumor. It's fine, but don't let that try to get in the way of Jaemin and I's relationship."

"That rumor is between us to talk about, so you brainwashing everyone else that I'm that type of person before even confronting me properly about it is beyond me."

"Which makes me wonder til this day... Why are you not confronting to me about it properly?" Jeno tilts his head to the side.

"I've been waiting and trying to find closure with you, Renjun. But you keep pushing me away– along with everyone else with you, Haechan for example."

Pursing his lips, Jeno stands up whilst carrying the book he was previously reading to return it as so and eyes his ex boyfriend.

"If you need me, I'll be at our old spot every after school. Please think about this, Injunnie."

"Are you seriously talking to that manipulator? After what he did?" Hakim whisper yells at the brunet boy.

Jeno sighs and looks up from the floor, "yes, I want closure."

"But–"

"Leave him be, Hakim. At least one of them is being mature enough to think about it til this day." Amy says from across the room.

"Still, I don't like what he did." Hakim protests, clearly holding a grudge against his friend's ex boyfriend.

"He accused you of cheating immediately without letting you talk, broke things off, joined in some gossips to talk about and gaslighted Haechan into leaving you."

"And you? What did you ever do wrong? Nothing. Even after that, til today you didn't go behind his back or seek revenge. I may be bias saying this because we're friends, but trust me, it's the truth."

Amy looks up from her homework and shakes her head at the grudging boy. Seems like today, their roles have been changed.

Sure she does have some dislikes about Renjun herself, but she tries not to let it get to her or make matters worse.

Jeno keeps quiet and continues to work on his project with Patrine, the latter downstairs with Jaemin preparing snacks for a moment.

"You're still going to talk to him, huh?" Hakim says after a while, noticing the look Jeno gave him earlier.

"Yep." The brunet boy briefly responds, focusing on gluing the materials together.

"He didn't listen to you before, do you really think he would listen now?"

"It's worth a shot."

"He didn't even listen to Jaemin. Multiple times even before you guys got together or even– when Renjun just had an inkling."

When Jeno doesn't respond immediately, Hakim climbs down the bed and crawls over to him. "How do you know if there's a chance for closure?"

"Renjun sure is smart, but he is also too full of himself. I don't even know if he'll turn up or change his ways."

"I told him to think about it."

"He's as stubborn as you." Hakim flatly points out. "If I were you, I would have gave up by now, honestly. Let him be or something."

"That's the thing, Hakim. He's not you and you're clearly a pussy. Honestly." Amy quips, failing to hide her smirk adorning her pretty face.

"Fuck off!" He hisses at her, looking back to Jeno, he mumbles. "I'm just worried for you Jen, you know? I saw how hurt you still are whenever he pushes you away."

The brunet boy looks up and lowers his hand that was holding the glue, "I moved on, I lost romantic feelings for him. But that doesn't mean I want to lose him, he was someone special to me as well like you guys."

"He was your first and real boyfriend." Amy says, understanding very well of what Jeno is feeling.

Although he doesn't say it aloud, they all know how much this all makes him feel.

"It hurts to have someone you loved, doubt you that easily." She mumbles in pity.

"That's why I want to talk to him. If he doesn't confront me, then I will be the one to confront him." Jeno says with a small smile on his face.

Amy and Hakim share a look as they nodded quietly, the latter giving up on being persistent and deciding that he should let Jeno be and stop worrying so much.

After all, he is there for his friend in case things go south.... Again.

The door opens and in enters Jaemin and Patrine holding snacks, "hey, what were you guys talking about?" The blond haired boy lightly asks.

Sitting down beside his boyfriend to accompany him as he opens a bag of chips for them to share, Jeno answers. "Nothing much, just Amy's love life."

He knows he should have told Jaemin the truth, but not now. Later when it's just them two, privately.

He doesn't want to ruin his mood right now, and Jaemin is probably still cooling off like Renjun.
