One Week Later:

"Saraya."

The Brit sighed, walking into Colby's living room. She had been traveling all week, but she decided to stop by Davenport yesterday to see if Colby needed anything. It turned out, Colby needed a lot.

When he had gotten out of surgery a week ago, Saraya had expected him to be whiny; he was probably in a lot of pain. Now that he had pain medication, though, she figured he'd stop be a little piece of shit, but that had yet to happen.

When Saraya walked into the living room, she saw Colby sitting on the couch, his phone in his hand, texting someone.

"Yes?" She asked, crossing her arms and leaning on the door frame.

"Doc says that he has to move up the PT about half an hour," Colby said.

Saraya raised an eyebrow. "Wouldn't that mean we'd have to leave – "

"Right now?" He interrupted. She nodded. "Yeah."

She rolled her eyes and sighed. "Well, get up. Let's go."

Colby stood up and followed Saraya out of the house, and to her car.

When they arrived, Saraya opted to go back to his house and wait for him to finish. Colby agreed, getting out of the car and walking inside.

Once Saraya got to his house, she checked the mail and brought it inside. She dropped it on the table, and was prepared to walk away when she saw an envelope labeled Saraya-Jade Bevis. She raised an eyebrow, picking it up.

When she opened it and saw concert tickets, she remembered that she'd told Kevin to send the tickets to Colby's house, as she would probably be there more than her own house. In the envelope were also backstage passes, just as Kevin had promised.

Now Saraya just had to wait for Colby to finish his physical therapy.

Saraya sat in her car, outside the facility. She'd only been there a few minutes, but knowing Colby, he was probably trying to convince the doctor to let him do more.

When Colby walked outside, she could tell that the doctor had said no, because he looked grumpy; well, grumpier than he had been earlier. He opened the car door and plopped down in his seat. Saraya tossed an envelope in his lap.

He looked at her, frowning. "What is this?"

"Just open it," She said.

He glanced at the envelope. "Why am I opening your mail?"

"Open it or I'm taking it back."

Colby just shrugged and opened it. He pulled out the tickets, reading them.

Pierce the Veil, Toxic Valentine, & A Day to Remember

Colby looked at Saraya, smirking. "Did Kevin give you these?"

She matched his smirk. "Maybe... Look at what else there is."

He looked in the envelope and pulled out backstage passes.

"Seriously?!"

"Yep," She said, grinning. "I probably could've gotten backstage because of Kevin, but we weren't sure about you, so he sent some passes."

"You're pretty damn awesome, Ms. Bevis," He said, looking at her.

"Why, thank you very much, Mr. Lopez," She replied, smirking.

One Week Later:

"Where the hell is Violet?"

"Whoa, Carrie, calm down," Lindsay said, looking at the singer. "I'm sure she's just...sleeping, or something."

"I'm sorry, everyone!" Violet exclaimed, walking quickly onstage. She took a seat behind her drums. "I fell asleep. I'm awake now, though."

"See, I told you," Lindsay said, smirking.

Carrie laughed and rolled her eyes. "All right, let's just get started."

They were playing in Clive, Iowa tonight, and after that, they'd be getting a few days off to relax and de-stress. Once that was done, they'd be heading to the next city: Omaha.

***

Later that night, Saraya and Colby arrived at the 7 Flags Event Center. It was over a 2 hour drive from Davenport, but Colby was seeing some of his favorite bands, while Saraya was getting to see her boyfriend, so neither of them were upset with the distance.

The bands were probably backstage, rushing around to get everything ready, so the wrestlers would be heading there after the show. Now, they were in the crowd, waiting for the concert to start.

When the lights dimmed, the crowd began cheering, and a few seconds later, Pierce the Veil took the stage. Colby was definitely a fan, and he was excited to hear them. During Caraphernelia, Jeremy McKinnon, A Day to Remember's lead singer, came out and sang his part of the song, and the crowd cheered. They sang a few more songs, and then Vic began talking.

"This song goes out to anyone who's ever struggled, with anything," He said. "This song is to let you know that you'll be okay."

The crowd cheered, knowing what song he was referring to. The music began, and Vic started singing Hold On Till May.

Toward the end of the song, there was supposed to be a girl singing, Colby knew. He didn't know if Vic was going to sing that part, or if someone was going to come out, but right now, he was just going to enjoy the song.

When Vic stopped singing, a girl's voice started singing, and as she walked onstage, the crowd began cheering. Colby didn't recognize the blonde girl, but he liked her voice.

"If you were me, you'd do the same.
Cause I can't take anymore, I'll draw the shades and close the door!
Everything's not all right and I would rather..."

The girl stood onstage while the band finished the song.

Vic grinned. "Give it up for Carrie Patterson, everybody!"

Carrie grinned and gave Vic a hug, before heading offstage.

The band played one more song, and they left. As they set up for the next band, Colby looked at Saraya.

"Who was that girl?" He asked.

"Carrie?" She asked. He nodded. "She's in one of the other bands. Toxic Valentine. I called Kevin the other day, and she really wanted to talk to me, so he gave her the phone." She laughed. "She was nice enough."

Saraya and Colby continued talking, but stopped when five girls came out onstage. The girl from earlier – Carrie – stood at the microphone, smiling at the audience.

"Hey, Iowa!" She exclaimed, and everyone cheered. "So, as some of you know, we're Toxic Valentine. And for those of you who don't know, allow me to introduce everyone." She motioned to the girl next to her. "This is Lindsay. She sings, too."

"Hey!" Lindsay exclaimed, smiling. "Pretty cool, right? Two singers!"

Carrie laughed. "We're the coolest band here! Sorry, boys." She and Lindsay laughed. "Over here, on guitar, is Jessica."

Jessica strummed a few chords, then waved.

Saraya leaned over toward Colby. "That's Kevin's sister."

"Really?" He asked. "I didn't realize Kevin had a sister."

"And here's Savannah, on the bass!" Carrie exclaimed.

Savannah played a bit. "Best bass you ever heard, right?"

"Of course," Carrie agreed. "And finally, all the way in the back, we have Violet on the drums!"

Violet smirked, then began playing her drums. When she stopped, she gave a thumbs up.

"Sorry, but Violet doesn't have a microphone," Carrie said. "The drums are loud enough. We don't want to ruin the speakers...or your ears."

Violet yelled something, and Carrie laughed. Lindsay nudged Carrie, and she quickly turned around.

"Oh, yeah!" She exclaimed. "I'm Carrie, singer extraordinaire."

"Why aren't I a singer extraordinaire?" Lindsay asked.

Carrie rolled her eyes. "Fine, we're both singer extraordinaires." She paused, and looked at the audience. "Anyway, this first song we're playing is a cover. We start every concert with the song that gave us our band name." The crowd cheered, and Carrie grinned. "This is Toxic Valentine by All Time Low!"

The band started playing, and Carrie began singing. Colby was mesmerized.

"She's got a target painted on her back,
And keeps a list of the qualities a good girl lacks.
She bites her lip, and tips her bottle
I take a drink 'cause the truth is hard to swallow.

Oh, ohhh.

Sex and white lies, handcuffs and alibis
She lays her halo on the pillow as she sleeps
Her heart beats red wine, my toxic valentine
Lays her halo on the pillow that used to be mine.

I live a lifestyle full of first impressions,
I've got my hands full of unhealthy obsessions.
She bites my lip, I'm sure to follow.
We'll take a drink till we're guilty and then hollow.

Oh ohh, oh ohh.

Sex and white lies, handcuffs and alibis
She lays her halo on the pillow as she sleeps
Her heart beats red wine, my toxic valentine
Lays her halo on the pillow that used to be mine.

Oh, ohh, my toxic valentine.
Oh, ohh, my toxic valentine.

I'm not the type to forget or bury my head,
Just take off your wings,
They could never get you quite as high as I did.
And you know it...

Sex and white lies, handcuffs and alibis
She lays her halo on the pillow as she sleeps
Her heart beats red wine, my toxic valentine
Lays her halo on the pillow that used to be –

Sex and white lies, handcuffs and alibis
She lays her halo on the pillow as she sleeps
Her heart beats red wine, my toxic valentine
Lays her halo on the pillow that used to be –

She lays her halo on the pillow that used to be mine..."

The song ended, and the crowd cheered.

Colby couldn't believe the voice actually belonged to Carrie. It was amazing. He was starstruck, but he quickly started cheering with everyone else.

The rest of the band's set consisted of original songs, but Colby knew that when he got home he was going to download all of them. The band itself was great, too, but Colby was hypnotized by Carrie.

Eventually, the band left. Colby turned to Saraya.

"Why have I never heard of the band before?" He asked.

Saraya shrugged. "I don't know. You don't really listen to much girl-fronted bands, do you?"

"I guess not," He said. Besides PVRIS and the occasional Paramore song, he didn't listen to much girl-fronted bands. It's not that they weren't good, he just couldn't get into them.

Colby and Saraya left their spots to buy some new shirts. Colby made sure to buy a Toxic Valentine shirt, and Saraya laughed at him. He just rolled his eyes as they went back to the concert. The stage was empty, which meant the band was about to come out. Their spots were taken, so they stood to the side.

A Day to Remember came out, and when Kevin saw Saraya, he smiled at her and she waved at him.

Colby snickered, and Saraya smacked him in the arm, so he stopped.

The band played a few songs, and when Jeremy said they were going to slow it down, Colby knew they were playing one of two songs. When he heard the first few notes, he realized they were playing If It Means a Lot to You.

Jeremy began singing, and when they got to the part that was usually sung by the lead singer of VersaEmerge, Colby heard her voice, and he couldn't help but to smile as Carrie walked onstage.

"And hey sweetie,
Well, I need you here tonight.
And I know that you don't want to be leaving me,
Yeah, you want it, but I can't help it,
I just feel complete when you're by my side.
But I know you can't come home till they're singing...
La, la la la, la la la
Till everyone is singing
La, la la la, la la la."

Her voice sounded great by itself, but it sounded just as good with Jeremy's. The song ended, and Carrie waved at the crowd, smiling, before walking offstage.

A Day to Remember played a few more songs, and then the concert was over. Colby looked at Saraya.

"We need to get backstage."

***

I'm apologizing now for putting all of Toxic Valentine's lyrics, but I couldn't help it. xD

I tried making sure all the verses were together, but knowing Wattpad, all the verses are just separated. (That probably didn't make sense, but I needed to complain. xD)

I've included the video for Water by Pentatonix, which is also what I named the chapter after.  The main person singing is Kirstie Maldonado, and that is what Carrie sounds like. :)

So, yeah, let me know if you liked this chapter! :)
