[o1] Until You're Big Enough
"She's got a target painted on her back, and keeps a list of the qualities a good girl lacks."
--
The WWE was in Dublin, Ireland, and everyone backstage was buzzing. It was always great to be in Europe, as WWE was in America most of the time, so it was a nice change.
They were currently filming a live event, and Saraya-Jade Bevis and Becky Quin were backstage, talking.
"God, I love Ireland!" Saraya exclaimed.
Becky laughed. "Are you betraying your country?"
Saraya scoffed. "Of course not. I love Ireland, but I love England more."
Before Becky could respond, Colby Lopez approached them. He had the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder, and his ring gear on.
"You got a match coming up, Lopez?" Saraya asked.
"What do you think, Bevis?" Colby asked, smirking.
"I was just asking," She said, rolling her eyes.
"Well, good luck," Becky said, laughing at the banter between the two best friends.
"Thank you, Becky," Colby said, then he looked at Saraya. "Why can't you be more like Becky, Raya?"
"I'm going to punch you in the face if you don't leave," Saraya warned.
Colby just laughed and walked away.
Saraya and Becky turned their attention to the TV to watch the night's main event - Seth Rollins vs. Kane.
***
Seth and Kane were now in a corner of the ring. The match had been back and forth, but when Seth pulled out a table from under the ring, he quickly gained control.
They were both on the top turnbuckle. Seth planned to go over Kane, land on the mat, and slam Kane through the table in front of them.
When Seth's feet hit the mat, though, he knew something was wrong. Pain shot up through his leg, and he stumbled.
"Are you okay?" Kane asked, frowning.
"Yeah," Seth said, the breath knocked out of him. "Yeah, I'm fine."
He regained his balance, grabbed Kane, and put his through the table. Once he was on the ground, Seth leaned back on the turnbuckle. The pain was too much to stand up straight.
The ref walked over to him. "Can you finish the match?"
"I need to," Seth said, trying to stand up, but quickly falling into the corner again.
The ref frowned, and put up the dreaded 'X', which meant the match was over. Seth slid to the ground, glad to be off his leg, but still in pain.
Doctors and personnel flooded the ring.
***
"Oh my god, is he okay?" Saraya asked, frowning. She saw the ref put up the 'X', which was never good news.
"It was the way he landed," Becky said. "I hope it's not bad."
Suddenly, the backstage area was full of people in black and medical personnel. Seth was with them, but they rushed by so fast, keeping everybody away, that Saraya couldn't go check on him. She grabbed one of the personnel who was near the back.
"Is he okay?" She asked, frantically.
"We don't know for sure just yet," He replied. "We're taking him to get some tests done."
And with that, he walked away.
***
Saraya knocked on the open door to the hospital room. It was the middle of the night, but she couldn't go to sleep until she found out what happened to Colby.
He had been staring off into space, but when he heard the knock, Colby looked over to see Saraya walking into the room. She looked tired and worried.
"Hey," She said, softly. She walked over to his bed, and sat down in the chair next to it.
"Hey," He said. He sounded tired.
"So...what's up?" Saraya asked. "Is everything okay?"
Colby sighed. "It's my knee."
"What happened?"
"I tore my ACL, MCL, and meniscus," He explained, frowning.
"Shit," Saraya said. "How long will you be out?"
"I'm getting surgery tomorrow," He said. "And they think I'll be out between six and nine months."
Her eyes widened. "Are you serious? What about the title?"
"I just talked to Hunter and Stephanie about it," Colby said. "Since I can't defend it, they have to strip me of it."
"And give it to Reigns, right?"
He shrugged. "Probably."
Saraya sighed. "I'm so sorry, Colby."
"Hey, it's not your fault," He said. She just looked at him, frowning. "You looked exhausted. Go back to the hotel and get some sleep. I'll let you know when I'm out of surgery tomorrow."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm just going to go to sleep," He said, laughing softly. "You don't want to stay here all night."
Saraya stood up. "You better let me know when you're out of surgery."
Colby laughed. "Don't worry, I will. Now go!"
She rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'm going. Good night, Colby."
"Good night, Raya."

This first chapter makes this seem like a Saige story, but it's not. They're just best friends. xD I didn't include the band yet because I still need a drummer, so go check out the first chapter if you're interested. I can't write the next chapter until then.
I'll be including lyrics from the song Toxic Valentine by All Time Low at the beginning of every chapter. The chapters are also named after songs that relate to the story. This one's named after Until You're Big Enough by Mayday Parade. Just want to let you know the lyrics at the beginning of chapters are all from the same song, and it's going to be in order.
Finally, I'll be calling wrestlers in this story by their real names when they're backstage, but when they're actually wrestling, I'll call them by their ring names. Writing this chapter made me sad, so don't get mad at me for making you sad, because we're both sad. xD
