Luna sat at the kitchen island, dipping her spoon into the bowl of cereal, occasionally sipping on the glass of orange juice that was placed right beside her. Her morning was off to a normal start, her mom was off at work, Peter was at home as per usual, except for the alarming message she received from her boyfriend about the small accident Olivia and Spencer were in the night before, but he told her that they were fine and there was no need to rush over to the house or anything.
"What do you think about doing family dinners?" Peter broke the silence, looking up from his phone. "We can invite Harold and Asher."
"Sounds...fun?" she tried to be enthused. "But, mom's always at work and I really don't want to be surrounded by men. No offense."
"You'll be there and that's final," Peter pressed a small kiss to her forehead. "We can start tonight. Mom's off, and Harold was supposed to come over, anyway. Why not invite Ash?"
"Except I can't come," Luna cringed. "I have another dinner to attend."
"Whose?" he questioned.
"My other family," she grinned, widely. "Jordan invited me to the Baker's, tonight."
"Sounds very serious," Peter raised his eyebrow suspiciously. "Now, that you two are back together. I think it's time Jordan and I have a chat."
"As long as you don't kill him," Luna sighed. "Then go for it. But, I have to get to school. Bye, Peter!"
Peter shook his head, glancing at the mess she had left in the kitchen, reluctantly cleaning after her. While Luna made her way out to the garage and got into her car, making her way over to the school. She made it to school within 5 minutes and wandered over to where her boyfriend was waiting for her with a smile on his face.
Luna skipped over to the boy, dropping down on his lap, and kissed his cheek. "Hey, boyfriend."
Jordan gently squeezed her hip. "Hey, sweetheart."
Her heart fluttered at the name. "I missed that name. It does not sound good out of anyone else's mouth."
"Because it's my name for you," Jordan scolded. "I really hope that stupid Malibu/Westlake boy wasn't calling you that."
"Ew," she turned her nose up. "You are annoying."
He rolled his eyes. "So, you're definitely coming to family dinner tonight?"
"If you want still want me there," she nodded. "Or I can attend a family dinner at my house. Since apparently, Peter wants to start doing those."
"Well, tell your stepdad that you're sorry but you'll be too busy with your second family," he teased. "And, of course, I still want you there. We all do. My mom even bought those cookies you love."
"Oh!" she gasped. "I love your mom! Speaking of family members I love...how's my favorite girl? She's not really responding to my messages."
"She's fine," Jordan sighed. "She and Spencer both are. I think she's just a bit shaken up after the whole accident. But, don't worry you'll get to see her tonight."
Luna softly pinched his cheek. "Well, then I can't wait for tonight."
"Hey!" he perked up. "We can tell my family the big news, tonight."
"That I'm pregnant," she joked.
His face paled. "What?!"
"Oh, my God!" she cackled. "Your face! You should've seen it."
"You can't just say things like that," he reprimanded her. "I almost peed!"
"We haven't even..." she made a gesture with her hands. "Since Vegas."
"Oh...good times," Jordan reminisced. "We should recreate that whole shower thing, again. That was...magnificent."
"I'll think about it," she smacked his shoulder. "Now, what the hell is our news?"
"We're in a relationship," Jordan stated matter of factly. "A committed and loving one."
She blushed. "But, they know. I mean, I've been at your house a bunch of times. Literally, in your bedroom."
"Okay, true," Jordan agreed. "But, I-I haven't explicitly told my parents that we're back together. And I wanna do it right this time. Especially, now that we're...all in."
She let out a soft giggle, pulling him in for a kiss which lasted a bit longer than it should have especially since they were at school in such a public setting. And Jordan couldn't help but savor the kiss, allowing his tongue to swipe softly against her bottom lip, her mouth parted open in response. However, someone clearing their throat had interrupted the couple from their makeout session.
The couple pulled apart with flushed cheeks turning their heads to face the culprit.
"Damn it, Asher!" she groaned.
"You're sitting right outside of the boy's locker room," Asher deadpanned. "And you're making out with my best friend."
"But, I'm her boyfriend," Jordan was quick to say. "Just...just saying."
Luna stood up from his lap, despite his groans of protest. "I'll let you two talk because I'm nice."
"Yeah, you're soooo nice," Asher sarcastically said. "Bye, Luna."

Luna thought she knew how the family dinner was going to go. It's not like she was a stranger by any means, in fact, there was a solid month when Luna had practically lived them, so she knew how their family dinners went. Jokes were thrown out, memories were shared, and they laughed a bit. However, it seemed that only a few members of the family including Luna were participating in this.
Billy placed the napkin on his plate, pushing his chair back. "Alright, this was great. But, I gotta get out of here."
"Already?" Jordan frowned.
"Yeah," Billy nodded. "Sorry."
There seemed to be something weird in the air once he attempted to leave, causing Mrs. Baker to notice. "Is everything okay, guys?"
Spencer scoffed. "Actually..."
"I had a drink," Liv confessed. "And before you say anything, I have not relapsed okay? I didn't take any pills, and it was a mistake and I regret it and I'm already working through it with my sponsor and I'm fine. Okay? I'm gonna be fine, seriously."
"Okay," Billy sighed. "That must have taken a lot of courage for you to admit that, so, um, thank you."
Laura eyed Spencer from across the table. "Is there more?"
"No," Liv lied. "I just told you everything."
"Spencer?" she eyed him once more.
"It wasn't just one drink," Spencer revealed. "Liv's been drinking since the summer. She was drinking last night."
His revelation had seemed to make all hell break loose at the table. Considering, Liv and Spencer were in a car accident and she was clearly under the influence. There was some overlapping yelling which made Liv storm off to her room. Causing everyone else to eventually move into the house.
"How didn't I notice?" Luna glanced at her boyfriend. "She's...she's my best friend and I didn't even see this."
"I can't believe I missed it either," Jordan shook his head. "She was in trouble again."
"You should talk to her," she sighed. "I'm gonna leave and give you guys your space."
"I'm sure she would rather talk to you," Jordan threw his head back. "You should talk to her."
"I'll talk to her tomorrow," Luna declined. "Right now, she needs her twin brother."
Jordan pressed a kiss to her forehead and nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow, babe."

The following day at school, Luna did everything she could to search for Olivia to talk to her. Jordan had updated her on what had happened after she left, his parents were still upset, and he was able to talk to Liv for a bit. But, Luna was extremely worried when she realized that her best friend was doing everything to avoid her, whenever she spotted her in the hall, Liv would just turn the other way, and even in class, she sat as far away as possible.
As the end of the school day approached, Luna was still on a mission to find her best friend but failed miserably. So, she attended her cheer practice and went on with her day as best as she could.
However, when her boyfriend ran over with a panicked expression, her worry kicked in once again.
"Did you take my keys?" Jordan pulled her to the side, giving her coach an apologetic glance.
"No," she shook her head. "I haven't been near your stuff. Do...do you think—"
"Liv!" realization hit him, making his face drop. "Liv must've taken my car keys. She's the only person I could think of."
They quickly gave their coaches an excuse for leaving practice early, both stating there was a family emergency and ran out to the hallway since Mrs. Baker was there to pick up Olivia but she had taken off with Jordan's car.
"Mom! Mom!" Jordan yelled out.
Laura turned around and snapped. "I told her 3 o'clock sharp and now she's even answering the phone!"
"Mom!" Jordan said. "My car's gone."
"What?" Laura questioned.
"She must've taken his keys during practice," Luna sighed.
Laura ran a frantic hand through her hair and walked off to make more phone calls. While Jordan and Luna had driven home and tried their best to contact Liv. Finally, Liv had called Jordan back and stated that she was fine but they still had no idea as to where she was.
Luna walked off so that he could talk to his mom privately and headed towards the front door once she heard the doorbell ring. She swung it open and spotted Asher on the doorstep.
"Hey. Cheddar tots," Asher set down a bag. "Luna texted me and told me everything. And I figured you guys probably hadn't eaten, so..."
"Extra cheese and jalapeños," Jordan smiled. "You're a saint. Thank you."
"Hey, um, I'm sorry about Liv," Asher sighed. "Is there anything I can do?"
"We're just gonna be here until she comes home," Luna sagged her shoulders. "You should stay. Maybe take his mind off some things?"
Of course, their way to get their mind off things was to talk about football. Asher was struggling with whether or not to switch his position. In fears of disappointing his father.
After they finished their conversation, Asher left, telling Luna that he would stop by her house and inform her parents on why she wasn't home. Luna stuck around in the living room for a bit to give her boyfriend some comfort before suggesting that she hide out in Olivia's room until she came. She felt like she was invading something extremely personal which Laura, Billy, and Jordan had completely disagreed with, it would've been strange if she wasn't there at all.
Luna heard footsteps approaching the room after what had seemed to be hours. She turned around in the chair at Liv's desk. "Hey."
Olivia stood in shock at her friend's appearance before sobs had racked through her body. Luna raced off of the chair, engulfing her friend in a hug, and consoled her.
"I'm so sorry," Liv cried. "We don't keep secrets and I kept this from you."
Luna pulled away, guiding Liv over to the bed so they could sit. "So, why did you keep it from me?"
"You were so proud of me after I got out of rehab," Liv confessed. "A-and I just didn't want to disappoint you. You were gone this summer, halfway around the world, and I didn't want to trouble you with my issues."
"Liv, there's nothing that you could possibly do that would ever disappoint me. I just want you to be okay. You're my best friend and you scared me last time. I don't know what I'd do without you," Luna shook her head. "You could never trouble me with your issues. I don't care if it's 4 in the morning and you feel like popping some pills or drinking, you call me! How many times a day do we sit around ranting to each other about our issues or gossiping about the most useless things!"
"I know," Liv cried. "I can't say sorry enough because I really am."
Luna sighed, pulling her in for a hug. "You're my best friend in the entire world. So, please, stop scaring me because I love you and I would literally go crazy without you, Olivia Baker."
Liv let out a breath of relief. "I love you."
