Days often started off the exact same way in the Adam-Ramirez home, Luna's mom, Maria, was usually off working a shift in the hospital considering she was a fantastic neurosurgeon. While Luna's stepfather, Peter, had often remained at the house to see his stepdaughter off to school.
The stepfather-daughter duo had a somewhat strained relationship which was more Luna's doing than his. Her anger towards her biological father's abandonment had been often taken out on Peter which she usually regretted sometimes. But, not really.
Luna's alarm went off from her bedside table, allowing an annoyed groan to come from the teen's mouth as she lifted her hand up and immediately swatted away the phone. She pushed the covers off of her body, running toward her connected bathroom and going through her morning routine before getting dressed and practically bouncing down the steps to an extremely cheery Peter Adams.
"Luna, good morning!" Peter greeted. "Happy first day of school."
She sent him a nod, grabbing an apple from the center table. "Where's mom?"
"Hospital," he answered. "There's breakfast if you want something more than just an apple."
"I would but it's the first day of school," Luna shrugged, grabbing her keys. "Don't want to be late."
Peter's shoulders sagged at her dismissal. "Have a good day!"

The ride to school was fairly short, considering she didn't live too far from Beverly High, then she glanced at her schedule checking her classes, and went to a couple of them before the bell rang for lunch. Luna usually sat with Beverly's "inner circle" which consisted of Jordan Baker, Layla Keating, Asher Adams, Olivia Baker, and JJ Parker.
However, Liv was distancing herself from that group of friends due to certain issues in the past which was hard because Luna found herself bouncing in between the both.
"Oh, if it isn't Beverly's it girl," Layla greeted with a wide smile, watching her walk their way.
"Says the student council president," Luna shot back, walking up the steps and settling in between JJ and Asher. "Hey, guys."
Asher shot her a smile, placing his chin in his hand. "Cousin."
"We're not related," she deadpanned. "Stop telling people that."
JJ glanced at the girl, pointing his finger in the air as he attempted to connect the dots. "Okay, wait, yes you are. His uncle is married to your mom. Which means you're related."
"She can keep denying it all she wants," Asher teased. "But, when that Adams family reunion happens, she'll be wearing a t-shirt."
Luna shoved the brunette roughly to the side, making his girlfriend, Layla, turn around and smack the girl on the knee playfully. As they sat around talking a bit, Jordan Baker walked their way with the new kid who looked sort of familiar to Luna.
"Meet the crew," Jordan introduced. "This is Hadley, Layla, and up top, Lucy, JJ, Luna, and Asher."
Spencer dabbed up the guys, taking a seat beside Layla. "I'm Spencer."
"Wait, I almost ran you over in the parking lot this morning," Luna gasped.
Spencer chuckled lightly, turning to face her. "Yeah, you're a crazy-ass driver."
Luna twirled a strand of hair around her finger, fluttering her eyelashes flirtatiously. "Well, I got distracted when I saw you."
"Ignore her," Jordan scoffed, sitting beside Hadley and kissing her. "Uh, you and Asher play the same position."
"Oh, receiver huh?" Spencer asked.
Asher nodded cockily. "Yeah, broke the school record for receptions last year."
"Me, too," Spencer shot back, shrugging nonchalantly.
Layla spoke up, bringing the conversation away from football, and asked about how he was liking Beverly so far, but the conversation seemed to be a little too friendly and Asher definitely took notice of it.
"You seeing this?" Asher whispered into Luna's ear.
Luna shrugged, leaning over to respond. "You gonna let the new guy take your girl?"
"Hey, so lay it on me," Asher spoke towards Spencer. "Crips or bloods?"
Spencer turned to look at him. "Excuse me?"
Asher continued sipping his water. "I'm just trying to check out a crip walk for real. I've only seen one on youtube."
"Yo, yo, yo," Jordan intervened. "He's just joking man, ignore him."
"Asher you wouldn't know a crip walk if it bit you in the damn white ass," JJ joked.
An angry expression was splashed all over Spencer's face as he eyed Asher. "That didn't sound like a joke to me.
"Don't be so sensitive," Asher said.
"Sensitive?" Spencer scoffed, pushing himself off of the steps and eyeing Asher down. "Hey, yo, thanks for the welcome."
"That is so not what I meant when I said do something, dumbass!" Luna scolded Asher. She shook her head, grabbing her backpack, and threw it over her shoulder, walking down the steps.
"Hey, hey," Jordan stopped her from walking any further which earned her a glare from Hadley. "Where are you going?"
Luna shrugged. "To find the better Baker." She gave him a small wave, turning on her heel and walking over to the lunch table that Olivia had usually occupied herself at. "Hello, lover."
"Luna," Liv grinned. "Hey!"
"So, have you met the new guy, yet?" Luna wiggled her eyebrows, planting her chin in the palm of her hand. "Is he hot or what?"
"He's...he's," Liv slightly hesitated. "Spencer's okay?"
"We've been best friends since we were 7," she deadpanned. "But, whatever, if that's what you wanna tell yourself, then that is fine."
"Anyway," Liv rolled her eyes, attempting to change the subject. "Do you want to hang out after school? Please, say yes?"
"Unfortunately I have to say no," Luna frowned. "I've got cheer practice."

Luna entered the Baker house, wearing nothing but a bikini and a pair of denim shorts to cover up her bottom half to look a little...decent. She didn't know why Jordan had invited her to the pool party or why he even bothered texting her at all, considering those two weren't close at all. But, she went anyway, she was never one to turn down a party.
"Luna Ramirez," Mrs. Baker greeted, bringing the girl in for a hug. "Jordan's only smart friend."
"Liv's friend," she corrected. "Not really Jordan's."
"Of course," the older woman laughed, pointing behind her to the couch. "Liv's over there."
Luna gave her a grateful smile and turned around walking over to Liv, engulfing the girl in a huge hug. "Liv!"
"Jordan must've invited you," Liv realized. "Because I would've remembered if I did."
"You sure do know how to make a girl feel loved," she stated sarcastically.
"You know that's not what I meant," Liv groaned. "Sorry!"
"It's fine," she shrugged. "I need to work on my tan. You coming?"
Olivia shook her head no, mumbling something about how'd she rather be in her room than be out back with the "steroid set." Luna proceeded to walk outside stripping herself of her shorts and laid out on a pool chair, allowing the sun to beat down onto her skin.
She crinkled her nose detest, feeling droplets of water from above and noticing the lack of sun as her eyes moved off of her phone and up towards the tall figure.
"Luna Ramirez," Jordan grinned widely. "You came."
"Well...you texted me," Luna shrugged, removing the sunglasses off of her face. "So, I came."
"And you look very nice," he complimented, raking his eyes over her figure. "Very nice."
Luna roamed her eyes over his naked torso, biting softly on her lower lip. "Yeah, back at you."
"Thanks," Jordan cleared his throat, turning red. "Um, I was thinking of heading inside to get a drink. Do you want something?"
"A soda, please?" she grinned. "Thank you!"
Once Jordan walked away, Asher, who was laying beside Luna on the other pool chair turned to face her with a disgusted expression on his face due to the interaction that just happened.
"What the hell was that?"
"Jordan being Jordan," she shrugged. "So..." her eyes drifted over to Spencer and Layla in the pool. "Spencer's hot, huh?"
"You know, I hate you, right?" Asher retorted, he looked around leaning over the table that was placed in between them. "Can I stay the night, again?"
"It's not really my place to say whether you can or can't," Luna furrowed her eyebrows. "So, sure, if you wanna stay the night. Then do it."

Football games were practically a right of passage every friday night. Even if Beverly High wasn't the best team in the world, they were hoping that would change with their newest recruit, Spencer James. And for Luna Ramirez, she participated on the sidelines waving her pom-poms around.
She stood on the sidelines with her arms behind her back and watched the game. Luna couldn't say she was as excited as everyone else for the game. But, she fake smiled her way through the game. Beverly was playing against Chatsworth and for the first half of the game they were the opposing team was up by 14-7.
But, the second half started to look better for Beverly, they caught up a bit, but were still behind 20-24. There was only thirty seconds left on the clock after Asher had caught a pass, then Coach Baker subbed Spencer James in for Asher which obviously hit a nerve in the already angry boy.
And clearly, Spencer was as good as they said, because his pass to Jordan had resulted in them winning the game. While the rest of the cheerleaders went off to celebrate Beverly's first win of the season, Luna stayed behind, eyeing Jordan from afar and noticing the disappointment in his face at the sight of Coach Baker showering Spencer in attention.
Before she could even think, her feet hit the ground, making her way over to the boy. "Hey, Jordan, you were really good out there."
The corners of his mouth lifted into a smile at the sight of the brunette but he couldn't help and shamelessly roam her body. "Thank...you."
"Eyes up here, Baker," Luna gestured her hand up to her face, noticing his lingering stare on her bare legs. "Look, I..." she sifted through her duffle bag pulling out a set of keys. "I've got Peter's lambo. Wanna go for a ride? If that's okay with Hadley."
"The same Hadley who dumped me just hours before the game?" he snorted, grabbing the keys from her hand. "I think it'll be fine. And before you ask, no I will not tell you why."
"I don't care about your relationship issues," Luna scoffed. "Go shower, I'll meet you at my car."
