"Your hair looks so good!"

Simone glanced at Luna, grabbing a strand of her hair. Luna had decided to cut her hair out of nowhere, she was only going to trim the ends of her hair but she ended up cutting half her hair off. But, she felt like it was time for a change, she's had long hair for as long as she's known.

"Is it bad that I hate it?" she frowned. "I loved my long hair."

"Your long hair was cute," Simone shrugged. "But, short hair is really cute. Stop stressing."

Luna shrugged, continuing to make her way over to the cafe with Simone right beside her. She stopped in her tracks once she looked through the cafe doors, nudging her friend on the arm.

"Oh, my God!" Luna yelped. "Look at Liv and Spencer...that's definitely a date. And not a friend one."

Simone cupped her hands around her eyes as she peered through the glass doors. "She's totally blushing!"

"Should we crash their date?" Luna wondered. "Or do we continue stalking them?"

"Crash it," Simone stated.

Luna giggled, pushing her way through the doors with Simone right behind her as they walked over to Spencer and Olivia. She crept behind her best friend, slinging her arm around her.

"Hey!"

"Can we join you guys?" Simone smirked.

"Actually, Imma roll out," Spencer said, looking at Liv. "I will uh, call you later..." He glanced at the two giggly girls and stared suspiciously. "Simone. Luna...Nice hair."

Luna twirled a strand of hair around her finger, suddenly insecure. "I feel like he didn't mean that."

Simone nodded in agreement. "What's up with that?"

"Okay, guys. This is gonna be a huge surprise to you..." Liv clasped her fingers together. "But Spencer and I are together. Like a couple..." She waited for a reaction but didn't get one causing her to frown. "Um...Why don't you two look surprised?"

Simone leaned over to Luna. "Do we tell her now or later, that we saw that kiss?"

"Well, duh," Liv chuckled. "You guys saw us kiss in Atlanta."

"No, Liv," Luna scoffed. "We literally saw you guys kissing like 10 minutes ago. We may or may not have been staring through the windows."

"You two are stalkers!" Liv gasped. "Oh, my God! Now, we can go on double dates, we just need to find Simone a special someone."

Luna sighed. "Yay...double dates.

Liv noticed the lack of enthusiasm in her voice causing her to be slightly concerned. "What's going on? Are you and Jordan okay?"

"We're good, and I don't want to sound paranoid like you," she said. "But, we seem to be a little too good. I have this gut feeling that something will be going wrong very soon. I don't know if it's with me and Jordan...But, something's not right."

"Wow, is this what I sound like?" Liv turned to Simone.

"Yes," Simone confirmed. "Yes, it is."

"You and Jordan are like the epitome of perfection," Liv rolled her eyes. "You have nothing to worry about. You guys are doing so well. Stop stressing, it'll just cause more issues in the relationship."

Luna let out a sigh, dropping her chin in the palm of her hand. She knew Liv was right and that worrying about something that hasn't even happened yet would only make things worse. But, Luna couldn't help and think that something bad was going to happen between them.

♡♡♡

Jordan planted his hands on his hips, staring at his girlfriend's hair. He had been staring at her a little too long causing her to panic, it's not like her hair was her entire identity. But, going from hair down her back to hair at her shoulders was definitely a change and she wasn't sure if she was a fan of it, yet.

"I like it."

"Took you long enough to say that," she scoffed. "But, are you lying? Cause Spencer said my hair was nice and something about the tone of his voice...did not sit right with me."

"It's hot," Jordan pulled her in by her waist. "It makes me feel...things."

Luna scrunched her face up in disgust. "Oh, you're so gross."

The two turned their attention to Grace who walked up on the stage to speak. "I want to thank all y'all for coming out today to celebrate this huge accomplishment by my baby boy, Spencer James. All he's ever done is exceed my expectations, not just on the football field, but with the man that he's become. And every one of you has helped Spencer become that man. I realized very early on that he doesn't just make me proud, he makes all of us proud, because this is Spencer's home. You're all his family, and now he's Crenshaw's All-American."

Jordan let out a sigh once she was done. "Hey did I ever tell you that story about how I was eating cereal and I picked up—"

"A fork instead of a spoon," Luna cut him off. "Look, I love you, but if you tell me that story one more time. I will go crazy."

Jordan crossed his arms, rolling his eyes at his girlfriend. "You're being a meanie."

"And you're being childish." She stuck her tongue out at him.

Spencer waved his hand at them from across the room. "J! Luna! Let me holla at you!"

Jordan glanced at his girlfriend with confusion filling his face, Luna had a feeling they were probably going to tell them their big news. So, she tugged on his hand and dragged him in the direction of the new couple.

"Listen..." Spencer picked up Liv's hand, practically waving it in their faces. "We have something to tell you."

"Ooh!" Jordan smiled. "Okay, what's up?"

"Jordan!" Luna scolded him. "They are holding hands right now!"

"Okay, so y'all—Whoa," Jordan gasped. "So, are you guys, like, boyfriend and girlfriend now?"

Spencer shook his head. "We're not putting a label on it, alright—"

Liv quickly cut Spencer off. "Yes. No, he's my boyfriend, and I'm gonna kiss him, now."

"You can't wait for me to walk away?" Jordan grimaced at the sight. "Gross, gross."

"Well, I think you two are adorable!" Luna gushed. "I can't wait for our double dates!"

Jordan eyed Spencer, playfully. "Careful."

"Oh, leave them alone," Luna pushed him away from them.

Jordan shuddered dramatically as they walked away and approached a table. Jordan pulled her down onto his lap, not caring about prying eyes because he absolutely loved PDA. He drew her in for a kiss, resting his hand on her lower back while they savored their small little moment of affection.

"So, if you guys win the game," Luna pulled away from the kiss. "Can I have your old Championship ring?"

"Absolutely...not!" he joked. He grabbed her left hand and pointed to her ring finger. "Only if you wear it on this finger."

"Maybe when you win a super bowl?" she shrugged. "Or...whatever important college football games are called."

Jordan pecked her temple. "We'll brush up on your college football knowledge."

Luna let out a low laugh, crossing her arms against her chest and leaning into her boyfriend's chest a bit. Jordan's arm wrapped around her waist, holding her closer to his body as they enjoyed each other's company.

Billy approached them. "Hey, guys."

"Hey, Mr. B," Luna grinned. She got the feeling that he wanted to talk to his son. "Um...I'm gonna get some food. See you later."

Billy sent her a grateful smile while Jordan just nodded and removed his arms, allowing her to walk off. She walked over to the food table and immediately filled her plate with mac and cheese even though she knew she would regret it due to her lactose intolerance. She grabbed a bottle of water and then retreated to one of the couches so that Jordan and Billy could talk in private.

Once Jordan was finished talking to his dad, he immediately searched the room for his girlfriend to tell her the good news. He practically skipped over to her, waving the paper in his hand around.

"What the hell are you doing?" she questioned. "You're embarrassing me."

Jordan rolled his eyes and outstretched his hand. "Come with me outside. I wanna talk."

She hesitantly took his hand and followed him outside of the cafe. They walked over to her car and Jordan gave her the paper and demanded her to read it. She found his behavior weird but grabbed the paper from his hand and skimmed her eyes over it.

"Jordan!" she squealed. "Seriously?!"

"This is what my dad needed to tell me," Jordan chuckled.

"My boyfriend is an All-American!" Luna gasped. "I feel like the proudest girlfriend in the world."

"I'm a reserve," he corrected, knowing all she read was All-American. "So, I probably won't play—"

"But, this is still a huge deal," she cut him off. "And if anyone deserves this, it's you. I am so proud of you, babe."

"You're right this is a big deal. A couple of months ago, I didn't even think that I'd be playing football," Jordan grabbed her hands. "But, now, I get to play in the All-American game, I'm in the best shape of my life, and I've been training nonstop for weeks. I just wish I could play in the championship game."

"Weeks?" she did a double-take, causing his face to drop. "But, you just got cleared."

"Spencer..." Jordan sighed. "He's been helping with my training."

"After you got cleared, right?" she questioned.

He bit down on his lower lip, shaking his head. "No. Sorry, I didn't mean to keep this from you. But, I knew you'd be upset."

"You're damn right, I'd be upset," she spat. "You almost died! And then you decide to just risk your life, again! Was cheating your concussion protocols not enough? This...this was reckless and irresponsible. Not just on your part but on Spencer's. You and Spence have been lying to me for weeks."

"Because I knew you would react like this!" Jordan raised his voice. "You're totally overreacting!"

"I'm sorry if I don't want you to die, Jordan! Is that so wrong of me?" Luna yelled. "I'm just such a terrible girlfriend to react this way, right?"

Guilt start to form in Jordan's eyes, realizing that she wasn't overreacting. "Babe...I'm—"

"You know what, Jordan?" Luna spat, venomously. "I don't want to hear your sorry-ass apology. You lied to me for weeks. Do you remember what happened the last time you lied? We broke up!"

♡♡♡

After the explosive argument with Jordan, Luna had refused to answer his calls and texts despite the advice from her parents, who had told her that she just sit down with him and hear him out. But, quite frankly, she didn't want to hear a damn thing out of his mouth. She was just thankful that Jordan had already left for the game since Liv asked for a ride meaning she wouldn't have to bump into him when she stopped by the Baker house.

Luna watched Liv hang up the phone. "So, how'd Layla take the news? Did she wanna kick your ass? Cause I would."

Liv glared at her friend. "First of all, not funny. Second of all, I'm kind of worried about her."

"Like, actually worried," she raised her eyebrow "Or are you being Liv worried?"

"Liv worried?" Olivia cautiously questioned. "Is that a thing?"

Luna couldn't help but laugh. "I don't know, Liv. Is it?"

Liv glanced at Jordan's jersey that was tucked into Luna's cheer skirt. "Hey, I heard about your argument with Jordan. You okay?"

"Wasn't I just telling you that things were going too good with us?" she scoffed. "I knew something bad was going to happen, I just didn't think it was going to be this. I mean, how could Jordan be so stupid? Lying to me for weeks and involving Spencer in this stupid training. What if he dies, today?"

"Now, you're being paranoid," Liv sighed. "I know, what he did was super irresponsible but, don't break up over this...or just call him back at least. And he won't die, okay? Think positive!"

"I don't plan on breaking up over this. But, we seriously need to go because I kind of need to cheer our team on," Luna glanced at her phone. "And we still have to pick up Simone. So, come on. Chop, chop!"

Liv groaned at her friend's bossiness. "I'm coming!"

She followed after her friend who had been walking incredibly fast towards the front door. They got in the car and headed straight for Simone's house, both choosing to stay in the car while they waited for the girl to emerge from her place since they were trying to avoid any run-ins with her parents.

"Guys," Simone threw her hands up in defeat. "The honking? Was it necessary?"

Liv pointed her finger at Luna. "Her idea."

Luna backed out of her driveway and shrugged. "It was either honk or knock on your door and run into your mom. Uh, no thank you, Tina Hicks is not a fan of mine! But, Daddy Hicks, on the other hand, he's a sweetheart."

"Luna...what did we talk about?" Liv scolded.

She rolled her eyes. "No calling peoples dad's by Daddy and their last name."

Simone grimaced at the nickname for her father. While Luna giggled at her tendency to call everyone's dad by that. The drive to the game took longer than usual considering it wasn't at Beverly High or even at South Crenshaw since it was the State Championship game, it was being held at a stadium.

Luna pulled into a parking spot and the three girls got out, she went in the direction of her trunk to grab her duffle bag for cheer while the others waited for her.

Liv's face paled at the sight behind her. "Luna...don't turn around."

Luna furrowed her eyebrows, watching her best friend practically pleading through her eyes for her not to turn around. Simone was slightly confused considering she only heard stories of this person but never knew what he looked since he was never around.

"Papi?"
