Harry
Gemma was the one to open the door and practically screeched in happiness. She hugged me and then even hugged Marlene.
"Oh god I'm so happy you guys are here, please come in it's freezing outside!" She pulled us in and looked down at Ollie who was bundled up in his warmest clothes. "Hi Oliver, gosh you are so big now!" He smiled and hugged her just like Marlene had told him in the car.
Gemma's home wasn't very big, but that didn't stop her from decorating it with Christmas decorations from the ground up. Marlene gasped at all the lights and her tree that might be just a tad too big for the house.
"Gemma this is so extra," I told her.
"Well yeah, you know how I am, Harry." I shook my head as Marlene stood awkwardly not really knowing what to do. Oliver was already touching everything. "Why don't I give Marlene a tour, and you change Oliver into something not so big." I nodded watching as they walked away.
Oliver looked around at all the Christmas stuff and picked up a glass snowman. "We don't touch Oliver, we look." He smiled at me and then threw it on the ground, breaking in two. I picked him up and he began crying. "You do not do that young man, that is very bad." I sat him on the couch when Marlene came in and saw him crying.
"What happened baby?" She cooed.
He reached for her and hugged her tightly. A few weeks ago he didn't even want to talk to her now he was crying to her and pointing at me like I'm the bad guy.
"He broke something and we've only been here ten minutes." Marlene gave me a look like she was disappointed in me.
"Oh daddy Oliver's a baby, it was probably an accident." She pinched my cheek. I leaned in close and shook my head.
I poked her boob playfully. "First of all, unless you want a spanking, don't call me daddy to mock me." She giggled. "Secondly, he looked directly at me and smiled before throwing the snowman." She rolled her eyes.
"Sure babe." She teased me walking back towards the kitchen with Oliver.

We hung out all day and had a nice dinner at the end of the night. When Jonathan came home I had almost forgotten that he knew Marlene and was weirded out by the way they hugged. We sat down while Gemma pulled out four glasses for wine.
"Oh I don't want any, thank you though," Marlene said.
"Oh alright, how about some tea?" She nodded. I could tell my sister was trying hard to get on Marlene's good side. Her reasoning was unknown but I'm sure she has come to a realization that Marlene really was the love of my life and she was here to stay.
I'm sure Gemma's always been a bit overprotective of me since I was not only her little brother but also because she saw me at my most vulnerable with Emily.
A phone rang and as I looked up it was Jonathan's. He quickly went over to check it and I could tell he seemed uncomfortable. "I'll be back." He gave Gemma a look and she nodded before he answered it and walked out of the room.
"Who is he talking to?" I asked. She looked at Marlene and then back at me.
"His brother Joshua." I understand that Marlene has slept with other men and that she had a life before me, but that doesn't stop the jealousy and vile taste in my mouth when his name is spoken. "He has been calling nonstop, but Jonathan has purposely not invited him because we have you here this year and we wanted everyone to be comfortable." She said sweetly to Marlene.
Marlene looked down and sighed. "It wouldn't bother me, he probably doesn't have anybody to spend Christmas with." She shrugged. "Besides, have you told him I was here?" She shook her head. "Maybe he'll get so awkward and leave on his own." She joked. "You should invite him."
"Are you sure?" She nodded. "I can tell Jonathan wants him here, I'll go tell him." When we were alone she looked at me and sighed.
"Don't look at me like that." She spoke quietly."
"What are you doing, they invited us here and you're putting yourself in a bad situation?" She shook her head.
"It's his brother, besides that it's ancient history." She stood to sit on my lap. "I'm here with my husband and my family, who I love." She leaned in and kissed me. "Okay?"
"Yeah." She pouted but I wouldn't budge. "Let's call a cab and go back to the hotel for the night." I sort of pushed her off of me and stood looking down at her. I really didn't want to fight during this trip, but I was a bit angry already.
*
Back at the hotel room, I put Ollie to sleep and watched as Marlene began getting ready for bed. "I'm upset," I told her.
She turned to me and smiled. "Fifty thousand on my head, it's disrespect, so offended that I had to double check I'ma always take the money over sex-"
"Marlene, don't try to be cute and sing Drake to me." I shook my head. "Why would you be okay with him there?" She didn't respond taking off her earrings. "Answer me, you're pissing me off!" I said a little too loud.
"Because I want him to see how happy I am." She looked down at her feet. I suddenly felt guilty for yelling at her. She looked so small and innocent compared to me. "Sorry if that bothers you, I just want him to s-see that m-my life it better." She sniffled and turned to go to the bathroom.
It was rare that she cried when we fought so I followed her. She shut the door, but I could hear her in the bathroom sobbing which really caught me off guard.
"Princess?" I opened the door and saw her sitting on the edge of the bathtub.
"Leave me alone, you think I'm dumb." She cried into her hands.
"No, I don't, I didn't know this was you trying to show off-"
"The last time he heard from me I was crying in a church bathroom after my thing and he told me to get over myself. He told me that I should have kept my legs closed, I want him to see me and for him to look shocked at how good my life turned out. I want him to see me with Oliver, and you by my side. I want him to look at how perfect and hot you are compared to his crusty ass!" I stared at her as she caught her breath.
She had never told me any of this information before and I was honestly in shock. He broke something inside of her heart. "He told you he loved you didn't he, that's why you slept with him?" She looked down.
"I was so dumb, I believed every lie he told me, Harry." She began sobbing again. I pulled her in and held her close. She suddenly stopped and took a deep breath. "I have to stop crying, it's not good for-" She paused. "You know, for the bags under my eyes."
I rolled my eyes. "You mean it's not good for the baby?" She looked up at me and her eyes widened. This girl was crazy if she didn't think the night at the office didn't get her pregnant. Besides the fact that every morning she wakes up vomiting, she's never told me to be careful down there like this morning.
I knew she was pregnant but I didn't want to jinx it. "You know I'm pregnant?" She asked quietly.
"Well I'm assuming, you have such a glow to you and your body's a little fragile." I gently stroked her cheek. She leaned her hand into my hand in comfort. "It's early so I wanted to wait until you told me you think you are, you know your body better than I do."
"Well I think I am and I really want to celebrate it but I want to wait until I'm a bit farther along, you know." I smiled leaning down to hug her. She put her arms around me and giggled for a second before starting to cry again.
"Hey what's wrong?" She looked up into my eyes and it broke my heart that she was crying so much.
"Do you love me?" I could laugh right now.
"Of course, you're my princess." I pressed my lips to hers and felt her put her arms around me. "Let's get ready for bed, we have a long day of fun tomorrow."

Marlene
I was very emotional all morning that I decided to not even wear makeup, god forbid I smear everything on my face.
We made it to Gemma's house and Harry leaned over and pressed his lips to my temple before getting out of the taxi. "You need to stop crying, baby." I grabbed Oliver and began the trip up to her house.
"The stupid cab driver hit a cat and you want me to stop crying?" I shook my head.
"It's alright, if he would have tried to avoid it, we would have crashed." I sighed knowing he was right.
When we made it inside Harry's mom and dad along with two older people were in the kitchen making food and talking.
Harry was right about his grandparents, they were actually very sweet to me. His grandpa was a little touchy but he had Alzheimer's and his grandma said he's a bit of a flirt.
"You are very pretty." He told me. "Too bad I'm married, love." I giggled.
"Oh well I'm married as well, and to be honest you couldn't handle all of this." He raised an eyebrow and looked over at Harry.
"Is that your husband?" He pointed to him. "You know I had long hair like that." I looked over at Harry who shook his head. His hair was a little overgrown but to be honest, I kind of want him to grow his hair long. He usually cuts it once it gets to a certain point, which honestly I don't exactly mind because he looks good both ways.
His grandma came over and shook her head at him. "Harold you need to go take your nap now." He nodded. "Say goodbye to Marlene." He looked back at me and winked before following her back to the room.
I turned to Harry who was sitting on the couch giving Ollie a bottle. I felt my stomach turning and decided to go to the bathroom.
After puking my guts out as quietly as humanly possible I heard a small knock at the door and stood to open it. Gemma stood there and smiled at me. She held a wrapped toothbrush in her hand and handed it to me. "Thought you could use this."
"Thank you." I took it waking back to brush my teeth.
"So?" She lingered at the door. "How far along are you?" I looked down.
"Did Harry say something to you?" She shook her head.
"I just assumed, sorry." I shook my head, this is the longest conversation I've had with her and I wanted it to last.
"Well we're trying to have a baby so-" She gasped smiling, closing the door and came in to sit with me inside the bathroom.
"Jonathan and I have also been trying, it's getting a little bit frustrating because I take a test every other week and nothing." I raised an eyebrow, perhaps she had an extra. "Have you taken a test?" I shook my head. She opened under her sink and looked through her stuff, but huffed and shook her head. "Let's go down to the store really quick."
"It's Christmas Eve." I reminded her.
"So, don't you want to know, how exciting would it be to have a little Christmas baby." I smiled big and nodded.
"Okay but you talk to Harry because one look and I'll tell him." She nodded. "Let me just wash my face." After I washed my face and fixed my hair I looked at myself and smiled at how much better I felt right now. Maybe I was looking for some type of approval from Gemma, and now that I got it I felt better.
The door opened and as I turned I felt everything slow down around me.
"Oh sorry, I should have knocked." I stared into the blue eyes of the man that took my virginity and any ounce of my innocence. He looked at me and he quickly walked out, but I stopped him.
"Josh?"
"Yeah?" He said confused.
And then I remembered that Gemma told me they didn't tell him I was here. "You don't remember me?" He made a face.
"Were you at John's wedding?" I shook my head feeling a bit light headed. He didn't remember me, that piece of shit didn't remember me.
"Forget it, the bathrooms all yours." I grabbed my stuff and walked past him out to the living room. Everyone was in their own little world as I stood there trying to remain calm. Why did it bother me so much that he didn't remember me, I should be happy?
I walked over to where Harry was to sit on his lap. "What's wrong?" I shook my head leaning my head on him. I felt someone touch my arm and saw Gemma.
"The cars on, are you ready?" Harry seemed weirded out but I gave him a kiss letting him know I would be back.

I had the test in my purse as I sat with everyone at the dinner table for Christmas dinner. I felt so awkward knowing Josh was at the table with us, and it bothered me more that he really didn't remember anything about me. "So have you thought about your wedding?" Harry's mom randomly says to us. I shoved food in my mouth to avoid talking.
"Uh, no not really." She nodded dropping the conversation when she saw how uncomfortable I was. "How's the business, dad," Harry asked.
"It's alright, would be better if you stayed and helped me run it." Harry rolled his eyes taking a bite of food.
This is fucking terrible.
I looked up and noticed Joshua was staring at me. I looked away but every time I turned my head he wouldn't look away. I began feeling sick again so I set my fork down and excused myself. I walked to the backyard and stepped out into the cold night to look up at the stars.
Of course, only a minute passed before I felt Harry standing beside me. "My mum wants to take Oliver to her house for the night, give us a night to ourselves." I looked at him.
"Up to you." He nodded. "He keeps staring at me Harry, can you please tell him to stop?" I told him. His hands clenched and he nodded.
"I'll talk to him." He walked back and after a minute I decided to go back in too. As I walked in I noticed Harry standing in front of him by the tree. He pointed a finger at him and pointed behind him as if he was talking about me. Josh nodded and then began talking as he looked down. He looked over at me and sighed walking over.
My heart began to beat harder as he stood a few feet away. "Can I talk to you?" My head moved before I could think about it. He walked towards the kitchen and he awkwardly leaned against the counter. "Um, your husband says that I've been staring at you and I just wanted to apologize, you just look so familiar." I blinked at him.
"You really don't remember me do you?" He shook his head. "My name is Marlene when I was like sixteen you took my virginity." Suddenly like a ton of bricks, his face dropped and he seemed confused. "In New York, you were married."
"Holy shit- i- this is wild. I have to be honest, I didn't recognize you, you know clothed." I felt the color drain from my face. "How old are you now like twenty or twenty-one?" He spoke so casually, he really was the same asshole I met the first time. I just shook my head looking at him for a while before walking out of the kitchen towards Harry.
He saw my face and asked me what was wrong, but I just wanted to get the hell away from here.

After a shower and putting on some warm pajamas I laid in bed next to Harry in our hotel room. We decided to leave Oliver with his mom to make her happy, but as for us, we needed to be alone.
Harry laid beside me holding my hand and listening to me rant about tonight. "I don't understand why it upset me so much that he didn't remember me." I shook my head.
"It's a shitty feeling knowing you care for someone and they didn't feel the same way." He comforted me. "You'll be alright, you still have me." He turned to smile at me.
I giggled rolling over to him and kissing him all over his face. "Yes I do, I have my baby." I kissed his lips. His phone began ringing and he sighed reaching for it. He looked at it and noticed it was a number from here.
"Hello?" He listens for a minute. "Yeah hold on the calls cutting off I'm at a hotel, give me one second!" He said quickly. "Let me answer this, I think it's my aunt or something." He shrugged walking out to the balcony.
I began thinking about how perfect I had it with Harry and how amazing it would be to take a test and find out we were having a baby right now. I went to my purse and opened my bag to grab the test.
After taking it I stood there and thought about how a few hours ago I was freaking out about Josh when I literally have the man of my dreams right outside.
Harry was my prince charming, my one true love, and the missing piece of my shattered little heart. He was all I needed. I got so lucky to be with him and I wanted to show him off to the world.
My timer went off on my phone and I quickly took a deep breath and picked up the test. On the test, clear as day, my dreams came true.
Pregnant.
I felt tears in my eyes and picked it up walking out of the bathroom. The moment my eyes locked with Harry I felt all the excitement leave the room, and fill with sadness.
"What's going on, is Oliver okay?"
"O-ollie is fine, I uh-" He cried into his hands. "I j-just got a c-call from Emily's aunt that said they found E-e-Emily and her dad both dead- in their house so she's dead Marlene." he put his head in his hands and I felt my body shaking.
I looked down at the test and saw a drop of water fall from my eyes and onto it. I slowly placed the test back in my purse and went to sit down beside him.
What the hell just happened?
