"I can't come over tonight and play with you guys," Jaemin says through the phone as he buttons up his black jeans.

Although they're not in a face time call, he can still feel Renjun raising a brow at him as Haechan probably looks quite intrigued.

"And why's that?" Renjun was the one who asked, holding himself back from snatching Haechan's phone away from its owner.

"Because, my dad is making me study for the night after he saw my quiz score in Literature." Jaemin comes up with no hesitation.

Thanks to the several minutes of planning this out.

His parents were no problem, they're off to work for the night - coincidentally.

His only obstacle is his friends, of course.

He loves them, no doubt. But right now, in this situation, he has a gut feeling that he shouldn't truthfully tell them on what he's up to.

Hell, even he himself doesn't know why the fuck he's doing this knowing he's literally entering the toxic zone and will surely face a lot of consequences and obstacles.

But he doesn't think of those right now, he has one thing in mind; secretly go to that party and find Lee Jeno - for an unknown reason.

"Damn, you really got a low score on that?" Jaemin mumbles a quick reply as he hears Haechan humming, "makes sense. I thought you were kidding at first." A chuckle escapes his lips.

Jaemin breathlessly laughs along to be more convincing than he already is. "Yeah, my dad was a bit disappointed while my mom tried to encourage me."

"Well, good luck on your studies then. I'll take care of Renjun over here." Haechan says as if it was a promise.

"It's the other way around, Hae." The elder boy deadpans as Jaemin can already imagine him having that usual look on his face whenever he's done with Haechan's antics.

He hears Haechan grumble in reply, "in the game, moron." To which he quietly snickers at.

Jaemin clears his throat once he feels like he's finished getting ready, walking over to the full body length mirror as he quickly ends the call with a "goodbye, have fun."

Looking at the mirror in front of him, he checks himself out and thinks his outfit is good enough.

It's nothing special actually, he's wearing all black, making his blond hair stand out even more - almost looking like it's glowing in the night.

He then stares at his said blond hair, pursing his lips before quickly reaching out to grab the hair gel on his wardrobe.

After styling it a few times until he settles with the simple one - which is literally just having it down where his bangs are kinda covering his eyes.

Yet, the style made the look even better. Making him look chic and hot. With his bangs kinda covering his dark eyes, it makes him have an intimidating look too.

Not noticing he was smiling proudly at himself until he snaps out of his thoughts, he furrows his eyebrows together.

"Why do I even bother to dress up? It's not like I'm actually going there for a hookup or something." He mutters out.

Shaking his head, he just shrugs off whatever feeling he was getting at the moment and double checks his things before leaving his house.

Jaemin's beginning to realize his current situation and cusses himself for his dumbass.

He's at Lee Jeno's party alright.

The mansion was really crowded earlier due to not only being in a massive area, but it's Lee Jeno's house out of all people.

And invitations were almost towards anyone at this point as Jaemin saw some schoolmates bringing other people who don't even go to their campus.

But besides that, he managed to push through the sea of people and roam around the semi familiar place.

Which brings us to where he is now, in the living room standing there as he tries to make himself blend in with the high school students partying their time away.

This is sort of his first ever party without his friends - If getting lost whilst trying to find a drunken Lee Haechan around doesn't count, then this is definitely his first.

So is he lost? Sort of?

Yeah, he doesn't have a sure answer to that.

He's not lost, he's been here before for goodness sake.

But he also is lost, due to the amount of people in here.

It's not as crowded as it was earlier when he first came in, the people probably went home or outside for some fresh air.

However, it's still pretty crowded.

Jaemin soon had a thought where he starts cussing himself again, "why the fuck am I here? What or who am I even trying to look for?"

His thoughts were filled with many; "what's", "who's" and "why's" all because of his actions.

Did he even think about this more? That's a fifty-fifty.

He was snapped out of his stupor when a sweaty body collided with his.

He grunts loudly due to the impact, but he's sure not many people heard him anyway because of the booming music through the speakers.

He blinks and faces the random guy who was spitting out apologies, the girl behind him raising a brow at what just happened.

Jaemin could only sigh and pats the guy's shoulder lightly, "it's fine, dude. Just look at where you're at next time." He says.

Nodding, the guy apologizes one last time before Jaemin heads off first, leaving the blinding and crowded dance floor.

He doesn't really know what and where he's heading to, but thankfully soon decided to come up to the second floor where not many people are there.

Besides, Jeno could be there.

It's weird to think about, Jaemin soon notices. The missing brunet boy was not once spotted since he got here, despite this being his own house and his party, he wasn't there.

But then again, Jaemin was a little late anyway and he's sure Jeno was probably off to stay with his friends as his house helpers are there to watch over the place regardless.

Why didn't he think of that earlier?

Sighing, Jaemin almost smiles to himself when he gets a bit more space in his personal bubble once he climbs up the stairs.

No bodies colliding with his, the air smelled a little bit less alcohol - making him able to breathe more and the booming sounds downstairs were not as loud up here.

It's like he's in another atmosphere.

Looking around, he mindlessly strides over to Jeno's bedroom door, as it was the most familiar - don't make it weird - and doesn't even bother to knock, already turning the knob.

Well, he should have, and he regrets that now.

Because the first thing he sees when the door was opened was Jeno and his friends sitting on the ground, in a circle formation and an empty bottle in the middle.

"Well, ya look at that, it's deja vu." He hears Hakim say with a snicker.

Oh how much Jaemin really wants to punch his dumbass. But he can't, because one; he doesn't want to be the jerk here.

And two; Amy was already pulling him into the room and making him sit down, forcing him to join the fucked up game.
