Jaemin grins when he sees Alissa approaching their table, tray in her hands full of food. Before the red headed girl could ask, he immediately pats the empty spot beside him.

Seeing this, Haechan rolls his eyes. "And you say there's nothing going on." He brings up.

Jaemin sends a small glare to him, "there's not." He hisses before turning to Alissa when she takes the given seat.

It's like deja vu all over again. In a blink of an eye, Jaemin and Alissa were talking from topic to topic. Having their own little bubble.

Leaving Renjun and Haechan- his friends- to enjoy their lunch awkwardly as they look at the pair.

They couldn't help but listen as well- actually, it's just Haechan. Renjun's not bothering to mind them a few minutes later.

The tanned male has his ears open to the conversation, he knows it's rude, but what can he do? Is it entirely his fault though? No.

Jaemin brought Alissa here, Alissa wanted to be here. If they didn't want anyone eavesdropping on them, then they would have went to another table.

Besides, Haechan's gut is twisting about Alissa being associated with them, and he can't really tell or guess what that means.

It's not like he hates Alissa... Wait- does he? He's not really sure on what he genuinely feels about the red headed girl. But he senses that Alissa might cause something.

Either she knows it or not, the point is, the three boys will be involved too. Or atleast, a little bit, since they were with her.

Oh God, is this what Renjun meant about being careful to who you associate with in this school?

Whatever, Haechan's just going to finish his pasta while hearing Alissa giggling here and there whilst Jaemin's grinning from ear to ear.

"Bro, Jaemin looks lovestruck. Ew." he whispers to Renjun beside him who had just finished his two slices of apple pie.

The older boy looks up to glance at the said boy who was laughing when Alissa almost dropped her food.

He turns back to Haechan and hums before unexpectedly saying, "I just can't believe you called me "bro"."

Widening his eyes, Haechan chokes a little on his pasta, "what?" He croaks, reaching for a tissue to wipe his mouth.

"Nothing." Renjun dismisses and leaves Haechan puzzled.

Usually, the tanned male would be annoying him, asking and whining at him to repeat what he said.

But something about this, especially Renjun's tone, gave a vibe that Haechan thinks he should just leave it be like the older boy did.

"So are you up for-" Alissa was cut offed by a presence suddenly joining their table- uninvited, may I mention.

She then glared at the smiling brunet boy who took a seat on Jaemin's other side. "Hey guys," the newcomer greets as if they've been friends for a while.

"What are you doing here?" Alissa beats Renjun to ask, the latter blinking at them a little flustered.

The brunet boy smiles at her, this time, looking a litte too forced than anything. "Can't I check up on my friends?" He chirps.

"Friends?" They all repeated in sync, puzzled and flabbergasted at the same time.

Alissa then crosses her arms, lips turning into a smirk. "Seems like you're lying, Lee Jeno." She hums.

The said boy rolls his eyes at her, "hmm, maybe it's a work in progress, dear." He mocks her with the same tone she used.

Alissa huffs back, "don't you have a boy toy to be with?" She pauses, "or should I say, toys," smirking at the end.

Despite her low-key insulting Jeno, the brunet boy looked unfazed as if what she said didn't affect him. Maybe it didn't.

He then opens his mouth to remark, "I could say the same for you."

By that, Jaemin furrows his eyebrows whilst he glances at his friends, kinda signaling for one of them to do something since- he's literally stuck in the middle between these two popular and arrogant people.

However, Haechan just grabs his yogurt and tries to open it as he was also surprised by Renjun only shrugging back at him.

He's going to ask Renjun about this later. Since the older boy is usually fighting back whenever these types of people are around, especially if it's Lee Jeno.

Alissa was flustered for a moment before she regains her composure, "what are you talking about?" She glares at him.

Jeno snorts, "don't tell me you're pretending that you didn't had a make out session earlier." He fakes a pout.

He then rests his chin on his palm and deepens his pout, "and now you're low-key trying to get Jaemin too?"

"You're one to talk." The blond haired boy between them finally speaks up, surprisingly and unfortunately for Jeno- defending Alissa.

The red headed girl goes back to grinning when she hears Jaemin taking her side.

"You literally tried to get with me when we were trying to do a project." He brings up, making Jeno raise a brow.

"So you shouldn't be saying these things when you're more likely to be what you've just described to Alissa as."

"Darling, she started it." Jeno continues his act, completely unbothered by Jaemin's opinion as well.

Rolling his eyes, the older boy takes his water bottle to finish what's left, which is not that much. "Grow up." He mutters back.

"Why don't you just leave and find someone else to fuck you?" Alissa snaps, clearly irritated by Jeno's presence.

"Funny for you to assume I came here for that." The brunet boy chuckles at her, very amused rather than offended.

"It's predictable, you're a slut." The other three boys widen their eyes when she blurts that out.

"We're the same, honey." Jeno smiles sarcastically at her. "But atleast I can admit it. Unlike you." Winking at the end.

The bell then rings, signaling that lunch was over. Due to being so fed up with the brunet boy, Alissa was the first one to stand up and storm off.

Surprised? I don't know.

Jaemin abruptly turns to Jeno and glares harshly, grabbing his arm in a tight grip. "What the fuck was that?" He hisses.

The younger boy shrugs and reaches to pat his shoulder, "saving your dick, that's what." He calmly remarks as he stands up.

He removes Jaemin's grip on his arm and smiles, "I don't really care on what or who you believe," he starts off.

He pauses to glance at Jaemin's friends who were stunned at the scenario.

"But don't make the same mistake like other people did." He finishes and walks away, meeting up with one of his friends by the cafeteria doors.
