ANTONIA LEVITSKY'S ONE TRUE love was the job she gave blood, sweat and tears (so many tears) for. Quantico's Emergency Department was her home away from home for the better part of six years, though she wouldn't have it any other way. Some weeks, she barely saw the plain walls of her admittedly desolate apartment just down the block. The hospital was her beating heart. She met her best friend there. Her sister gave birth to both her nephews there. One of her uncles died there. It was a place of life and death, yes, but it was a place where Antonia thrived. She loved being a nurse, even if nursing limited her world view to medicine and nothing more.

Nursing was safe. Nursing was familiar.

Derek Morgan wasn't.

The hospital, as it so happened, was also the place she'd find the other half of her heart. Life and death, light and dark, to love and be loved. There was so much to life that someone like Toni wasn't privy to, but with Derek stumbling into her routine — quite literally — with a job that showed him every gritty morsel of the world she longed to discover, that might just change.

I definitely shouldn't be posting this lol. Let's pretend I've updated my Spencer Reid fic enough to justify yet another Criminal Minds book. Also!! I have no idea if there's an actual name for the hospital in the show but because I'm terrible with names I'm sticking with this. What do we think?? I'm sooo excited to share Toni with y'all.
