Entering Gensokyo through my portal, I could feel a breeze moving through my body, which didn't make me feel cold. Hmm.. do I lack nerves or something? Whatever..

However, I was also meet with a thick mist that made it almost impossible to see, thus making me realize I was in the Misty Lake. I soon began to question how the hell am I going to even find my way through here, but it was fortunately answered by a voice ringing in my head..

"AS ONE OF US, YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY ABLE TO MANIPULATE THIS ENTIRE UNIVERSE AT YOUR WILL WITH MERE THOUGHTS AND IDEAS. GIVE IT A TRY, NEW ONE.."

..Oh yeah, EXE abilities, right. Obviously, my first thought was to be able to see beyond the mist once I closed my eyes. After 5 seconds, I opened them again, finding out that I'm seeing the area like if the mist was currently gone.

Me: "Not bad.. I'll explore some locations first, then I'll make some besties!"

Thus, I begin to levitate above the ground, before slowly flying towards some spot in the lake. Maybe I could encounter the Fairies, but I'm sure they won't dare get near me.. not with this power I hold, of course.

(No One's POV)

As Xanth traversed through the mist with no problem at all, he seems to be thinking of finding the Scarlet Devil Mansion. After all.. meeting characters in the flesh would be quite the wish. However, he obviously doesn't have the exact directions to it, so he just wanders around until he at least finds it.

However, unbeknownst to him.. it was getting darker, since night began. And thus.. the peculiar man-eating Yokai would rise.. well, she won't be able to even lift a finger on Xanth, but she has no idea yet.

Xanth continued wandering, looking for anything reddish that could be here, which fortunately happened. He tries to get closer, but couldn't do so as a strange, T-posing girl hovered to him. She seems to have the look of curiousity, since of course, she wanted to know if he was edible.

???: "Oooh, you seem quite rare, mister. Are you perhaps edible?.."

Xanth: "Oh... you?"

Of course Xanth would know her. The girl was Rumia, Youkai of the Dusk. The Youkai began hovering around him, soon noticing his pointy ears, making her realize that her chances of getting a meal were still low.

Rumia: "Aaawwh.. you're no human.." (Does a sad face..)

Xanth: "Oh don't worry, I can give you something!"

Questioning, Rumia soon saw Xanth closing his eyes, and thus, a human arm popped into existence, and into his right hand. Offering the torn-off arm to Rumia, she obviously began feasting.

Rumia: (Muffled) "..Thanks Mister! So delicious~"

Xanth: "You're welcome, miss!"

Rumia: (Finished her meal) "..Can I have another one?"

Xanth: "Sure.. but only this one. I do have to look for a place to stay at.."

Xanth began to generate another human arm so Rumia is at least satisfied. However.. the man-eating Youkai seems to actually be getting fond with him... in a big brother way, of course. Gotta avoid that jail sentence, y'know. Continuing on, Rumia gets her arm, but before she could dine in, she asked Xanth something.. unique.

Rumia: "Mister.. can I follow you?"

Xanth: "...Wha?.."

Xanth was at a loss for words. Well, she technically has no friends, so Xanth begins thinking about it. For the meantime, he said "Sure" to the Youkai, which made her begin to jump quite high in pure joy.

Rumia: "Yay! Thank you Onee-Chan!"

Xanth: "Uhm.. no probs."

Thus, in the moonlight, the God and Youkai began to make their way towards the Mansion, hoping to at least maybe meet the Maid or Bodyguard, and maybe ask them to let them stay for a while. Seems weird to Rumia, but it's her big brother, so nothing special about it. However, as they hovered above the lake, they were being watched by someone, who seems to be peculiarly interested in Xanth..

(???'s POV)

???: "..So this is the one~.."

I continued spying on the individual that somehow appeared in my wonderland, a individual that has brought great curiosity into me..

Behind that eccentricity is a being full of mystery, from his twisted, spiky, animalistic features, to his strange ability that I cannot even comprehend..

He seems unaware of my presence, fortunately, and is being accompanied by one of my land's residents. Rumia, was it? Anyways.. I continue spying on him through my gaps, my curiousity growing each time. It seems he's also looking for the Scarlet Devil Mansion.. I hope Remilia doesn't try to lure him to her sister, I still consider him valuable to me.. Maybe I could send Ran to check up on him at some point. Whatever.. I think I'll take a nap for now. However.. whoever you are..

..I believe I shall invite you to something.. maybe a date?~..

(No One's POV (again))

Levitating through the Lake, Xanth tried looking for the Mansion, while also guiding Rumia to make sure she doesn't get lost. Using his ability, he removed any mud or fallen tree on their way. After all, considering the owner of the Mansion, she would hate any dirtiness. While it seemed boring, Rumia decided to start a conversation with her.. big brother.

Rumia: "Onee-chan, do you eat humans too?"

Xanth: "..Not really.."

Rumia: "Why? They're still yummy, even if they run away!"

Xanth: "..Dunno. I like to be scary in other ways.."

Rumia, of course, wouldn't expect him to know more tactics than simply going around and scaring humans.. Anyways, Xanth decided to use a more efficient way of finding the famed location.. X-Ray vision! I mean, he can do anything.. ((Chaos, Chaos!))

Xanth: "..I think I have a better way to find the Mansion.."

Rumia: "..How? You can do something?.."

Xanth: "You bet."

With a smirk, Xanth imagines having the stereotypical X-Ray Vision, and.. Tada! It happened! Looking around, our protagonist soon saw the form of a large building, and immediately knew this could be the Mansion..

Xanth: "Rumia.. I found it! I'll get us there! Just grab my hand."

Rumia: "Alrighty, Onee-Chan-"

And suddenly, the two disappeared. Obviously, if you know famous blood-crying hedgehogs, you would know this is teleportation. That's a pretty basic thing, to be exact, but whatever.. all that matters now is that they are getting to the Mansion, and hopefully get some nice rest..
