Strange Meet-Up

Vulpy! You awaken to the voice of your Vulpix, Ember. You rub your eyes, before putting on your slippers and going to your computer. You had to read your emails everyday as you were a work at home Pokémon vet, since your small town was so poor that the government couldn't afford a Pokémon Center. A lot of people who were passing by would come to your house for a check-up. All of a sudden someone knocked on the door.

Someone's here early, you thought. It usually took a couple of hours before someone came. You picked Ember up as she hated being alone and opened the door.

There, standing in front of her was the unmistakable unbeaten champion, Leon. Your eyes widened as you saw him, and you feel your heart beat incredibly fast.

"Hi sir, how can I help you?" You wait for him to remember you first.

"(Name)?!"

You giggled as you saw Leon's eyes widen as he recognized you.

"I had no idea you had become a vet! Or that this is a vet's office..."

"What do you mean 'or that this is a vet's office'"

"It's just..I thought this was a supermarket," Leon said, looking around the little cottage.

You felt a little offended.

"Does..does this look like a supermarket to you?" You demanded, then relaxed a little at the innocent look in his eyes.

"I'm horrible with directions; don't you remember in high school whenever you, and I, and Raihan would go to amusement parks? I couldn't even find the most obvious ride!" Leon responded with a laugh.

You chuckled back.

"Raihan," you repeated Leon's mentioning of his name. "Now that's a name I haven't heard in awhile!"

Leon jumped backwards in suprisment, his cape which was full of sponsors bounced. His eyes widened.

"Really! Raihan has been all over the news lately; he is the second best trainer in Galar! Have you been living under a rock?"

You frown, before pushing Leon aside from the door and pointed at the small town you lived in. The biggest market they had was a gas station market, after all. After you had done that, Leon's face lit up with understandment.

"Still, you have Internet, right?" Leon asked.

"Of course I do!" You respond, with annoyance in your voice.

Once again, Leon looked surprised.

"You weren't this short tempered when we were children!" He chuckled.

You rolled your eyes.

"I'm going to have more of a temper if you keep on pestering me!" You respond teasingly.

You remembered what it was like, being the only girl in the trio. At times you didn't feel like you belonged, but you also remembered the times where Leon and Raihan made  you feel like you belonged.

Ding! You got a little scared when your rotom phone rang, but quickly turned it on only to get the creepiest message ever.
