You sighed as you walked behind the two guys who were muttering to each other. Both of them clearly wanted nothing to do with you.

You grabbed the hat you found and the name Ian Daniels rang in your head. How did he get out of jail, was there something off about him? Did he create the fire? Did he get you sick when he came to your vet's office that one time?

Your thoughts whirled while you stared at the cap.

"What is that?" Raihan asked.

"Probably belongs to another guy she dated when she wasn't telling us," Leon snickered.

You rolled your eyes.

"It's just something I found on the ground, okay?! Stop making dumb assumptions."

"Not really dumb if it's something you'd do," Leon muttered.

You expected Raihan to agree with Leon, but he just gave you a sympathetic glance.

Probably because the same thing happened to him a lot..

"At least Hop has a loyal girlfriend.." Leon was kind of talking to himself.

"We were never  dating! And plus, who even is his girlfriend?"

"That Scottish girl Gloria."

"Oh."

Gloria was very short tempered and always swore a lot. But Hop and her had been best friends since they were children.

While Leon seemed to be caught in his thoughts, Raihan seemed interested at the cap you had. He went to your side, to which you flinch a little.

"Do you see that on the hat?" He asked you.

"What?" You were very puzzled.

Raihan proceeded to point out this metal thing, with a large see through red object in the middle.

"Scientists were planning to make that in 2050. There is no way it could be out now."

You freeze. What did he mean? Surely there was a logical explanation.

"What...what even is it?"

"It's supposed to Help a trainer get Pokémon like powers."

"But why would this...Ian...need that power?"

"Maybe to burn down my house? Maybe that's how he broke in?"

Suddenly mostly everything made sense. It explained how he got out of jail. He used the Pokémon powers. But one piece was missing. How did he get the object?

"Still doesn't explain how he got the object." You say dryly.

"He could be a time traveler! And be targeting you!" Raihan insisted.

You stare at him. You knew Raihan could be dumb at times, but never this  dumb.

"Impossible! No one can time travel and you know that very well. Stop trying to make up dumb conclusions for something that can be explained with logic."

"Well, then give me one logical reason on how he got that item."

You stumble. You didn't know what to say. You couldn't think of any logical reason, as scientists have only begun the drafts of that item.

You feel a long silence between the two of you.

"See? He has to be a time traveler." Raihan said smugly.

You had to admit, you were starting to get convinced. But you would never tell Raihan that.

"Still don't believe you." You respond, trying to sound confident but you felt your voice shake a little.

Raihan face palmed, but his gaze quickly went to Leon as if Leon was shocked.

"What?" Raihan asked Leon.

"Hop...and Gloria is in danger."

"How?"

"They were eating dinner on the top floor of a building when Gloria's eternatus broke out. I have to go help them!"

Her eternatus broke out?!

"We're coming with you!" You insist.

"No. You guys stay here. It's way to dangerous." Leon then runs off to the distance.

You growl with frustration.

"We have to help him!"

"He's champion, it's fine."

You suddenly got really angry, before slapping Raihan in the face very hard. Raihan looked taken a back, as he stumbled backwards a bit.

"Being champion doesn't mean one is stronger than a legendary Pokémon!"

Raihan opened his mouth to speak, but clearly decided not to protest.

"Fine." He muttered.
