Chapter Seven

Once upstairs, Mason opened a door and pulled me into a room. The room was trashed. Clothes were all over the floor and different take-out foods that looked to be at least a week old were sitting on a table. Thank God my room is the complete opposite of this nightmare...

Mason rubbed his neck and stared at the floor. "Sorry, it's kinda messy." He mumbled, obviously embarrassed as he sat down on his bed. I stayed standing. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked him. He suddenly stared up at me, his lime green eyes glowing.

"Because I have something to show you!" Mason said as he reached under his pillow. I watched him suddenly scared for my life. What does he have under there? A knife? A gun? Something inappropriate?

Instead of any of those, he pulled out a little wooden box. It was too small to hold a gun or knife so that was good. Mason took the lid off of the box and pulled out a grey wristwatch. "You know what this watch does Olive?" He asked as he turned it in his hand. I hesitantly nodded. "It tells time, right?"

To my suprise, Mason laughed. "Of course not, stupid! It kinda like a time machine. If I do this..." Mason started turning the crown back until the watch said it was 6:13am. "Now look outside." I did as told and stared out the window.

I froze. The sky was dark like it had been this morning. I quickly pulled out my phone. Sure enough, it said that it was 6:13am. "H-How..?" I stuttered out, "T-That shouldn't be possible!" Mason smiled and wrapped his arms around me from behind. I was too shaken up to push him off.

"I know but it is... That's how you came back after dying Olive... I started the day over for you." Mason mumbled into my ear. I turned to him and noticed that he was an inch from my face. I felt my face heat up. Wait, WHAT?! I don't like him! I'm not gay!!

Suddenly, Mason's room got extremely cold. He paled. "Oh no... I shouldn't have told you about the watch..." He mumbled, reaching under his pillow once again. Slowly, he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at my head.

I panicked. "M-Mason, what's going on?! Don't shoot me!!" I yelled quickly getting away from him. He frowned. "I'm sorry Oliver, I'll bring you back, just forget that I told you anything about that watch." Mason suddenly fired and everything faded to black.
