You are wandering through one of the LA streets which has been declared a crime scene. You come across the remainder of a bloodied bullet.

"Kelsey I found the magic round," you remark as you bend down and bag the bullet

"How's canvasing going?" you get back up

"Well all the witnesses said the victim was Elon Musk," Your partner Kelsey responds

"And they were driving a ford," your message tone goes off. You check it. It's your boss Captain Yates.

Boss: meet me at LA general. It's urgent

"The captain wants to see me," you inform him

"Ok I should be fine here," Kelsey responds

"One quick question though, do you it was random or intentional?"

"Well I'm operating on the assumption that it was intentional," you respond. Ten minutes later you've made it to LA general and you are talking to Captain Jason Yates.

"Sir, you wanted to see me?" You ask timidly because you are concerned.

"Yes I need to place you on a protection detail," Jason responds. Your heart sinks because you know what Jason is going to say next.

"The victim is in room 210 and I believe you already know who he is," Jason refers to the information that Kelsey gave you.

"And he did ask for you personally,"

"Hmm. Thank you, Sir. Do you mind if I get some of his belongs?" you respond

"If you know where they will be," Jason replies. Twenty minutes later you've completed your errand. You have sat down on the seat at the end of the bed. You are thinking about when you first meet in college and how much as changed since then. Thirty minutes later you notice Elon who has started to stir

"What are you doing here?" He is a little disoriented.

"I was sent by Captain Yates because he has asked me to protect you since we found evidence that the drive-by was intentional," you say it was intentional because you are operating on that assumption.

"And I was told you need to see me anyway"

"Yes I did I think," he obviously can't quite recall what happened.

"I stopped by space X headquarters because I think you'll need this," You pass him his laptop. His face lights up because he can complete the project he was working on. He places it on the table.

"Thank you,"

"No Worries," you respond returning his smile but you feel the stress sinking in.

"Anyway how long have you been here?" he asks catching you off guard

"Thirty minutes why?" you respond a little confused.

"Because I'm just curious," Elon replies clarifying the confusion. Your message tone goes off and you check it

Boss: Kelsey has some information for you. Meet us in the cafeteria.

"I have to go. The captain wants to see me in the cafeteria," you remark as you gather your stuff. At the same time, you let a sigh slip out. Two minutes later you've made it to the cafeteria and you've also found the captain with Kelsey.

"Kelsey you wanted to speak to me?" you remark with mild suspicion

"Yeah, it's about the bullet. It's a match to a gun that was used in another drive-by. Jones recognised it instantly" Kelsey responds and you are amazed that he got that information that quickly.

"(Y/N) that means I'm putting you on an indefinite protection detail," Jason adds.

"Dang," you utter because you know the lifestyle that Elon lives

"Let's hope we can sort this out quickly. Thanks for giving me the info Kelsey,"

"No worries," he replies as he leaves

"Are you sure you will be fine with this assignment?" Jason asks because he can also see the stress on your face.

"I'll let you know if I'm not fine with it. Now do you mind if I get back?" you ask because you feel that it would be a good idea if you did.

"Go for it," Jason replies. Three minutes later you've made it back to Elon's room to find another man with Elon and you are mildly suspicious.

"Julian meet (Y/N)," Elon bracks the ice. The introduction also clears your suspicion.

"Nice to meet you. Anyway I need to ask you something," Julian remarks

"Go for it," you reply because you wish to help in any way possible

"Ok so Elon has a launch event for the falcon 10x rocket and we don't know if we should go ahead as planned. Do you think you can provide security?" Julian rattles off.

"Umm I'll have ask my captain but I think we can do something," you hesitate with your answer because you have to think about it.

"Two hundred people are invited so I think you might want to look into private security," Elon suggests and you are not going to deny the idea.

"And Julian we should go as planned,"

"I'll talk to Captain Yates about it," you add. You think Elon is crazy because of his determination but you ignore the notion because you know there is nothing you can say or do that will stop him.

"You should relax (Y/N)," Elon remarks

"Not till the shooter is caught," you declare. You can see that statement puts Elon's mind at ease.
