3rd Pov
"I'm not leaving Harry! He needs help defeating Voldemort!" Hermione retorted to Professor McGonagall.
"It is the only choice to keep you and both of your families safe." Hermione sighed knowing it was going to be pointless to argue with her. Dawn stood there in disbelief.
"Harry is like a brother to us! I'm Not leaving him!" Dawn roared.
"I understand, that's the reason why we are sending you somewhere safe. Voldemort will use both of you to get to him or get information out of you." Dawn huffed, giving in. McGonagall said some random spell. the next thing we know we were in a forest.
"Will they be safe?" Harry asked.
"Not in the way your thinking. It's up to the other prophecy now."
Hermione Pov
I stood there with Dawn, wands still in hand. Knowing that we're going to have to get used to it here. We looked around the forest, filled with beautiful flowers and trees so tall they touched the sky. I saw Dawn looking around, tears streaming down her eyes.
"Are you ok Dawn?" She shook her head and kept eye contact with me.
"Mione this place reminds me of the meadow that he would take me to." She choked out a sob. I held her as she sobbed. I remembered how in love she was with her fiance. The way they looked at each other, she wished that she and Ron looked at each other like that. She never saw her take off the ring. It was still on her ring finger, memories of him would flood her mind.
My heart broke out for her in pain. She remembered how Dawn wouldn't come out of her room, hearing sobs from afar. Her sobs quiet down and soon was asleep. I carried her on my back, trying to make some progress to find civilization.
As I was walking I heard Dawn groan and saw them fluttering her eyes open. She looked at me with her head resting on my shoulder. Her eyes void of any emotions tears me apart. she hoped down. Soon after we walked in sync. Nothing was said or thought, nothing but silence and the noise around us.
We soon found civilization but it wasn't Hogwarts or England. I started walking but soon saw a castle. In a garden, we were standing in as realization struck me like a truck. We were trespassing. I started walking but saw Dawn not moving. I came close to her and grabbed her hand. She just stood there, worrying me now.
"Dawn, what's wrong?" She didn't reply. She soon leaned forward about to fall. I caught her just before she hit ground zero. I looked at her as I sat on the ground with her head in my lap.
Her eyes closed as she went limp in my arms. I screamed at her, trying to wake her but to no avail. I picked her up bridal style and started making my way to the castle. I saw a brunette run out here. Worried plastered on her beautiful face. Light freckles danced on her face. She looked our age.
"She needs help! Please! Help her!" I plead. She guided me inside the castle towards a room that looks to be an infirmary. I placed her on the bed gently. The brunette looked at her petite pale skin. She poured water into the mouth. I waited anxiously and nervously. She did this for the past two days. The only time I would leave was to use the bathroom.
I held her hand, waiting for her to wake. I shook my head wishing our roles were swapped. I felt her index finger twitch. I jerked my head with a hopeful look. Her eyes fluttered open, relief washing over me. She slowly sat up holding her head. I hugged her tight but not too tight to not hurt her. She slowly hugged back burying her head in the crook of my neck.
"I was so worried," I whispered. praying this wasn't a dream. I tightened my hold on her out of fear of losing her too. She pulled away, eyes still void of any emotions.
"I'm sorry I worried you." She sounded so sincere. We heard the door open. The brunette came in smiling.
"I'm glad you're awake. I was afraid you weren't going to." She sounded so nice but we knew better than to trust anyone.
"Thank you very much, Miss-" Dawn responded but couldn't quite figure out her name.
"Lucy, Lucy Pevensie." She responded gently.
"Do you know why I passed out?" Dawn asked politely.
"You had low blood sugar. When was the last time you ate?" She was trying not to sound insensitive. Dawn looked at her, thinking.
"Almost a week but the last thing I ate was a piece of toast." She replied without any emotion. I looked at her, guilt evident in my eyes. If I had just convinced her to come out earlier. I shook my head to rid of my thoughts. I saw Lucy with sad doe-like eyes. She gave her a tray filled with food and some water.
"Please let me know if that is not enough for you." Dawn nodded. Lucy then soon left. I held my wand and looked at Dawn.
"Do you think our wands will work here?" Dawn looked at me unsure.
"We could try a spell right now if you want," Dawn suggested.
"Sure but one that won't hurt or destroy anything." Dawn agreed. Dawn pulled her wand out and looked at it for a sec but then looked back at me.
"Lumos" light was at the tip of her wand. We both smiled and I tried and it worked too. The smiles soon faltered and saw Dawn cry. I held her and said sweet nothings to keep her serene. We both knew that there was no going back. We will have to get used to it here. There will always be a small part of us that we will never go.
