Jenny was released from the hospital just one week later under the guarantee that not only would Sky watch her closely and take her to all appointments but that she would continue with therapy for her speech and motor skills. Her speech returned faster than her motor skills were but doctors assured Sky this was normal and in a few months would be mostly back to normal.

The Club through a large party the day of her release and she happily agreed to go although Sky would have preferred to have her to himself.

"If you get tired you let me know," He said.

"I'll be fine," She promised, only stammering a little on the words.

Sky jogged around to open her door for her and help her climb from the car, for the most part Jenny was doing well. She had to continue on an inhaler, had treatments to her lungs once a week and endless therapy and appointments but that spark inside of her was still there.

She was a little unsteady sometimes, growing tired easily and sometimes confused. Sky tried not to hover too much but also constantly wanted to be at her side.

"Sky, I promise I'm okay."

"Are you sure?" He pushed her hair from her face.

"Mhm."

"Okay, well if you get tired and need the wheelchair let me know?"

"I promise, you'll be the first to know."

He leaned down to give her a quick, chaste kiss, just because he could. Just because she was his woman and he didn't feel ashamed by it anymore. He pulled away and then headed towards where Zeke, Ty, Wolf and Demon were carrying out coolers of ice and drinks, Jenny went in search of Raphael.

She found him in his room, shoving his things into his saddle bags obviously preparing to leave. His door was open so she stepped into the room.

"Were you going to leave and not say goodbye?" She asked.

He froze, half bent over his suitcase with a pair of jeans in his hand. Taking a deep breath he shoved them into his bag and then stood turning towards his dresser and walking to it, pulling out more clothes.

"I was, yeah."

"Why?"

He shook his head, shoving more clothes into his bag. After a long minute he turned towards her.

"Because I like you Jenny, I really like you. I....I'm in love with you. I thought if I left last time and we texted I could stop and be friends but I can't. I came back because I wanted to be the man that saved you but.....I see now that's not going to happen."

"Raph...."

"No, don't apologize. It's not your fault, Sky is a good man."

She felt guilty for not loving Raphael, he was a good man and she knew what it felt like to love someone with no chance of them loving you back, she'd loved Sky for years before finally getting the results and it was painful.

He returned to packing and she felt like she was intruding as he methodically packed every item, slowly she took a seat on the edge of the bed. She wanted to be friends with Raphael, if she didn't have Sky she might even want more.

"I promised myself when I came back here that I wouldn't want what I couldn't have, that I wouldn't ask but.....I have to, come with me?" He asked, looking at her.

"What?"

"Come with me when I leave, me and you."

"I......I can't, Raphael. I'm sorry."

"I knew you'd say that but I'd never forgive myself if I didn't ask."

"I do like you but..."

"But you love him, I know." He interrupted.

She gave him a sad smile as he buckled his saddlebags and then turned to pull on his plain black jacket. She wanted to ask him to text her, ask if she could see him again but was too afraid to.

He leaned down tipping her chin up with two fingers he gave her a quick, friendly kiss. He pulled back and gave her a crooked half smile, then turned lifting his bags and headed for the door. She stood and followed him into the hallway where they met Sky head on.

The two men froze, seeming to stare each other down for a minute and Jenny held her breath waiting for the yelling, the pushing, the punches. Raphael moved first, thrusting out a hand and staring at Sky.

Sky stared at the offered hand for a minute then slowly reached out and shook the other mans hand.

"I'm leaving," Raphael said gently.

"Okay, thanks again."

"I'm going to go in peace but if you hurt her, if you're dumb enough to let her go rest assured I'll be waiting and this time I won't back off."

"Okay."

Raphael gave a small nod then brushed passed Sky who opened his arms for Jenny, she smiled and stepped into them. Wrapping her arms around his waist and he dropped a kiss on top of her head.

"I'm sorry he's leaving," Sky said gently.

"Me too."

"I know he's your friend but you'll see him again."

"I doubt it."

"You ready to go out and join the party?" He asked.

"No...."She shook her head, looking up at him.

"Are you tired?"

"No...."She bit her lip.

"Jenny....."

"Come on Sky."

He shook his head and she pouted a little, tightening her arms around his waist.

"I....I don't think..."

"Then don't think, please? I love you," She reached up to cup his cheek.

"I love you too."

Leaning down he gave her a gentle kiss, still hesitant. He hadn't really been intimate with her since before the fire.

"Come on," She backed up giving him a tug on his arm.

Reluctantly he let her pull him down the hall to his room and tug him inside, kicking the door closed behind him as she pushed his jacket off his shoulders.

"Are you sure it's okay?"

"I won't break, I promise."

"Everyone's waiting to see you," He said as she began fumbling with his belt buckle.

"They'll wait a little longer."

Her hand slid into his boxers and his breath caught, silencing any protest he had. They could wait, their friends, family, the world could wait, God knew he had and he'd waited long enough.

The world could wait, because he wasn't going to ever again.
