Amane was in deep thought. He didn't even noticed that the school bell, already rang. He had been thinking about (Y/n) a lot lately.
He known the spirit girl for almost five years now. She was his first friend. He didn't even have friends at Kamome Academy.
He barely talk to anyone. People views him as a depressed loner who has the passion and love for astronomy. Different from his younger brother who was the social twin who was loved by everyone.
But (Y/n) was the only one he shows his true self.
"Yugi." Amane look up to see his sensei, Tsuchigomori staring boredly at him as he smoke his pipe. The older man gestured towards the clock above the blackboard. "Shouldn't you be heading towards your next class?"
"Oh, right!" Amane stood up and started packing his things. He looked around to see the classroom empty, with only two people being him and his sensei. "Everyone already left...."
"You should be focusing more on your studies, Yugi." Tsuchigomori told him as the boy slung his bag on his shoulder. "Your grades are extremely low, you won't pass at this rate."
"I know...sensei..." Amane sighed. "I'll try to study harder...."

"Amane, why aren't ya eating?" Amane look up from his plate to see Tsukasa staring at him, with curiosity. But the younger twin was right, he did not even ate a single rice on his bowl. The twins were currently eating their dinner that Amane cooked at the kitchen counter. It doesn't look like it but Amane can cook decently. But all he knows how to make were rice recipes.
But lately, Amane was feeling more down than usual. His family was slowly drifting apart. His father rarely comes home due to his work while his mother became a bit alcoholic. She became a bit violent too. He mostly gets all the beating, since he tend to tell Tsukasa to lock himself into their shared bedroom as he let himself slave away for his brother to avoid their mother's wraith.
He was enduring it all in silence. Wanting Summer to come so he and his brother could go to their uncle's home. His happy place.
Mostly he couldn't wait to see (Y/n) again. She was his main source of happiness from his sorrowful life. Just imagining her smiling face, makes his day better.
"I'm not really that hungry, Tsukasa..." Amane said, smiling slightly at his worried brother.
"AMANE!" A booming screech echoed through the living room. Both twins flinched at this.
"I guess it's time to face her, again." Amane sighed and stood up. "Tsukasa, eat dinner in our room."
Tsukasa nodded and made a run towards their shared room.
Amane gulped and walked towards the living room, where his mother was waiting.
Looks like it's another night of beating.

It was finally winter. Amane was walking to school with his brother. Both wearing extremely thick clothings. They could literary see their breaths turning into smoke due to the cold air.
"Amane...." Tsukasa called out his brother. But Amane was again lost in his own thoughts so he called out again. "A-MA-NE!"
The older twin finally snapped out of his daze. He then turned to see his brother staring at him, weirdly.
"What is it?" Amane asked. Tsukasa only pointed towards the ground infront of the boy, in which he turned and look.
He was about to walked on a frozen part of the ground. It was slippery, he could definity slip and fall if he walked on it. Amane moved out of the way and began walking to a safer part with his brother.
"Thanks."
"No prob." Tsukasa waved him off. "Haven't you been a little out of it lately? Actually, you've always been out of it..."
Amane's thoughts was again wandering off again. He can't hear what was his brother telling him.
All he's now was focusing was on seeing (Y/n) once summer comes.
Back in the mountain god's boulder. (Y/n) sat on top of a giant boulder, wearing thick clothing. Wrapped around her neck was the fluffy scarf, Amane gave her.
She took off her mask and took a deep breath, watching how it became smoke and disappeared into the freezing air.

Finally it was summer. The season, Amane was looking forward to. The twins was again visiting their uncle's house, as usual. They could finally enjoy themselves without worrying about their mother's wraith.
Amane wore his new uniform, excited to show the spirit. He quickly ran out the house, not before telling his uncle that he'll be out for while, into the forest.
"Is that your new uniform?" (Y/n) asked as Amane managed to reach their usual meeting spot.
"Yeah." Amane nodded, showing her the new Kamome middle school uniform, which was consists of a white polo shirt with his name tag on the left side and black pants.
"Time's does really flies, doesn't it? You're already in your third year in middle school." (Y/n) sighed. But then she noticed something. "Amane... where did you get those bruises?"
Amane froze. He forgot the beating he endured the day before. The bruises littered around his arms, some are already turning yellow.
He was so excited to show his uniform that he literary forgot the injuries he has.
"Uh... I fell a lot so..." Amane scratched the back of his neck, as he laughed nervously but then wincing when he accidentally scatched a wound.
"Amane....Your lying..." (Y/n) told him, making him sighed in disappointment. Not at her but at himself.
"You...don't have to tell me if it's a sensitive subject." (Y/n) added as she waved her finger in circles. "Let me heal you..."
Green firefly like glow surrounds Amane making him gasp in awe. Soon, he couldn't feel pain anymore. His injuries were gone like it never happened.
"Your amazing!" Amane cheered.
The two reached their hang out spot, The open field with a river.
"You don't come running at me, these days." (Y/n) said as she made a leaf boat and placed it on the water.
"I learned my lesson from all of those beating." Amane told her with a grin on his face.
"Oh, (Y/n). Look at this!" Amane reached towards his pocket and showed him a rock. "I haven't shown you this before, but this is my most prized possesion."
The spirit girl went a closer look. "It's rock."
"Close enough. It's a moon rock!" Amane grinned. "It fell infront of me when I was younger."
Amane began rambling. "Did you know that the moon is more than 380,000 kilometers away?! And that's how far this travelled to get from here from the moon! isn't that amazing?! Even a rock can travel like this, can go that far."
Amane then stared at his friend with a smal smile. "Hey, (Y/n)? Do you believed that it's a moon rock, right?"
The spirit girl was quiet for a few moment before answering. "Ofcourse I do..."
The boy's golden eyes sparkled. He grinned and looked at the blue sky. "I always wanted to be an astronaut. I want to go to the moon so badly."
He then turned towards her. "One day... If we could. Would you go to the moon with me?"
"Amane...I can't leave the forest..." (Y/n) sighed. "But if I can....I would.... I want to see what's it like to be on the moon..."
"Let me tell you about myself." The spirit girl added. "I'm not a spirit...But I'm no longer a human...."
Amane's eyes widened.
"It seems that I was human, but when I was a baby, I was abandoned in this forest." (Y/n) continued. "I'd only just been abandoned, so I cried helplessly as if to call the parent who left me. They say I didn't stop crying for a long time. I've should have died back then, but the mountain god appeared and cast a spell that allowed me to continue living. So that I never move on. I'm like a ghost..."
Amane watched as she stared at her hand. "Amane... It's okay to forget about me. A body that maintained by magic is very weak, if it touches a real human body, the spell will break and the body disappears. It's such a fragile thing. How long can you-"
"Something that disappears. Just like snow, isn't it?" Amane cut her off. "(Y/n), I thought about you during winter. Even during autumn and spring."
"(Y/n) don't forget me." Amane told her. "Don't forget..."
Amane knew that one day. Time would separate the two of them.
Until then, they'll stay together.
