She bit onto her lower lip, tasting the sweetness of her lip stick on the edge of her tooth. Her pen rattled against her notebook that was placed neatly on her lap, the pen between her fingers turned and tossed with each moment that seemed to slip through her mind.
Her attention gazed downed toward her blank notepad, its empty written lines begging to be filled. It appeared empty without anything written between the lines, an empty void full of nothing. Several thoughts ran wild through her head from the day, pulling and tugging at her attention. She shook her head slightly as she tried to blink her eyes shut, closing the wild thoughts that made home in her mind.
"Shh." She whispered to herself, feeling the texture of the pen nestle between her fingers.
Her eyes awoke from the faint light bleeding through to her, its warm light welcoming her to awake. Her lips parted slightly, the cold air reacting to her warmth. Her body snuggled further into the sheets, its cozy texture running across her skin reassuring her of safety.
The tiredness of the day began to creep over her, fogging her head as each moment slipped away. Her eye lids closed as her chin hit the top of her chest, the light beginning to fade away again.
Flashbacks and images danced across her mind, the same old memories were revealing themselves again. Each scene unfolding and displaying them self. Her eyes shot open, reality returning itself once again. Her room remained how it always had been, normal. It was as normal as a teenage girls bedroom could get... a bed, a wardrobe and a small bookshelf positioned in the far corner of the room. The books were neatly spread across the shelf, the odd one lying oddly in comparison to the others. Maggie let out a long sigh, her eyes fixated on the book shelf in front of her. Bored, she got herself out of bed and walked ever so slowly toward the bookshelf, aware of the creaky timber boards that squeaked with each step she took.
The tip of her toes were aching from the pain that was caused by the timber floor boards. Her arms hung neatly by her side, balancing her properly.
A brief moment of panic caused her eyes to widen in awe, followed by the drop of her jaw. The familiar sound of her phone ringtone went off, filling the empty room with its melody. She let out a sigh of relief before tip toeing back towards her bed, where her phone lay.
The brightness on her phone gave her a shock, its bright white light blinding her. She rubbed her eyes with both of her hands before glancing back toward the screen on her phone.

Lacey Evans - Calling...
...
"9:30pm! You've got to be kidding me!" Maggie yelled, as she picked up her phone before accepting the call.
"Maggie!" Lacey squealed through the phone.
"You know it's 9:30pm Lace?" Maggie responded displeased.
There was a brief silence before a faint murmur from the other line broke the silence.
"Yes, I know that. But that's exactly why I've called you at this hour." Lacey said.
"What?" Maggie replied.
"I need you to come." She stated.
"Where?"
"School. Its something important!" Lacey instructed.
"At this hour? Are you crazy!" Maggie yelled through the phone.
"Trust me, I know it sounds weird but honestly it'll be worth it." Lacey said cheekily.
"I can't believe you! How am I supposed to get to school now?" Maggie questioned.
"I'll come pick you up! Don't stress girl, its gonna be a long night ahead!"
"But I..." Maggie said before the line cut dead.
Maggie felt the heat rise to her forehead, causing small buds of sweat to form along her skin. She searched around the room for something appropriate to wear, something other than her pink polka dot pjs that hung loosely around her frame. Her eye caught the sight of a pair of jeans lying on the ground, she scrambled over and held the pair of jeans., examining them closely.
"Whatever." She muttered aloud, rolling her eyes at the torn jeans.
