NINE
Ivy rushes out of her apartment and rings Jungkook's bell. Hoseok comes out not even a second later with a huge smile on his face and shuts the door behind him close.
Hoseok in a white and black patterened shirt with blue tight denims and hair parted sideways, some strands falling onto his face was almost lethal for her. He looked even more charming with that beautiful smile. She wasn't looking bad herself, in fact Namjoon had sworn that if she wasn't willing to go on a date with Hoseok, he'd take her to one without a second thought.
She had finally taken out the blue dress out of the corner in her closet and paired it up with black stilettoes as Namjoon had suggested. Even if it was heart-wrenching to see her get ready for a date, he stayed to help her. The week was off from work since they were done with the first half of the book and Seokjin was out for some personal schedule.
"You look so pretty," Hoseok breathes out offering her his hand. She thinks it over before grabbing his hand and turning around towards the elevator. He smiles to himself shyly.
"Thankyou. You look handsome as ever," Ivy compliments back as they enter the elevator. He smiles at her, tapping one foot against the floor out of nervousness. They make way to his car and he opens the door for her before getting in himself.
The car ride remains dead silent only with the faint sound of car honks and the bustling city. It was comfortable enough for Hoseok since he had always thought she was more of a quiet girl but in reality she wasn't. Ivy was extremely awkward with the atmosphere of the car.
She was really regretting coming already. 'I'd rather edit books with Namjoon on my couch', she thought to herself, checking her nails and her reflection which was faintly visible in the car window. She was really wishing that he'd say something. Anything to begin the conversation with, she was good at keeping a conversation going. While the referred boy was lost deep in thoughts, completely unaware of the fact that he had a date along with him. He was usually very talkative and noisy but why couldn't he even talk properly in front of this girl.
"Hoseok, you passed the restaurant." She states with furrowed brows catching the boy's attention. He looks back sighing deeply before taking a complete u-turn to go back.
"I'm sorry, I was kinda nervous." he mutters softly placing his arm on the headrest of Ivy's seat next to him. She chuckles slightly and joins in, feeling flustered.
"Trust me, there's absolutely nothing to be nervous about," she says and he smiles as the car turns around, stopping in front of the place. He looks at her eyes then lips not removing his arm as slowly he leans in. She catches where it was heading and putting all her fears aside, she leans towards him, wasting no time in pressing her lips to his. He almost feels himself melt against the softness of her lips. He slowly parts his lips and she follows his lead, feeling new to everything again. His arm lifts from the back of the seat, the other one working on his seatbelt as their lips mould against each other. It was pure ecstasy for Hoseok, he had a crush on her ever since she came to their shop the second day so it was a long-awaited opportunity for him.
Ivy's hands touch his neck, resting on his shoulders a minute later as his brows furrow, chest heaving up and down. 'It's good, it's okay, he's not like them, it's okay, it's good', she thought repeatedly to herself before finally pulling away when it didn't sit right with her.
Yeah he wasn't like them, but it wasn't okay. She didn't want it and she had nobody to blame but herself. Yeah, he was a great kisser and it felt good but it didn't feel as safe this close to him.
She didn't want to admit it but it didn't feel as safe as she did with Namjoon. He did absolutely nothing wrong this time, it was her choice and she didn't regret it. Now she knew it wasn't him.
"Let's go yeah?" She asks patting his shoulders once. He nods smiling as he pecks her lips one more time. She smiles back, opening her own seatbelt while he got down and rushed to open the door for her.
"Ah yes, the most important modern-day act of chivalry," she comments as he giggles, shrugging in response. Poor boy was completely unaware of what was to come his way.
Even if it'd hurt him, she wasn't at fault because she tried. Boy, she tried her best to overcome it. Overcome everything and make him feel that she was indeed into him too. Guess sometimes, things don't go as planned.
They both made small talk as the date went on. Everything went smoothly. She had prepared herself to tell him in clear words what had went through her mind and all she could hope was that he'd understand. They both got up to leave and walked out of the restaurant after she had payed the bill which he insisted on but it was of no use, she was already set on it.
"Hey Ivy, do you mind if just go attend nature's call? It'll only take a minute," he urges fidgeting with his keys. Ivy chuckles and nods as she pushes him back in. One more minute to prepare herself for the confrontation.
A/N: TRIGGER WARNING (SEXUAL VOILENCE but not too descriptive)
She taps her foot against the pavement while resting against the car door waiting for him to be done with it. Her eyes scan the whole area when a whimper catches her ears. With shaky legs, she walks towards the direction of the sound, heels removed and kept on the bonnet of the car so there's only minimal sound. The whimpers become louder as she walks even closer and with one turn, her eyes widen in horror. A man about the age of her fucking father was forcefully holding a very frail little teenage girl in his hands, one hand choking her hence preventing any sounds from being made. For a second she remains frozen in her spot as memories come rushing making her head heavy but the next second she charges towards him with full force kicking him right in the gut. Her self-defense skills still fresh and her blood boiling.
He yells something in Korean but she pays no heed and kick him square in the jaw again. No matter what the language was, she knew exactly what was happening. It wasn't anything new because that's how the world works. Patriarchy always wins against basic human rights of women. This time he lands on the floor. She straddles him, punching his nose and jaw repeatedly when she hears footsteps behind her. She turns her head to spot Hoseok running towards her as he takes in the whole situation. He places his hands on her shoulders, separating her from the old man who was now passed out. Tears run down her whole face as she shakily removes his hands and turns to the poor little girl.
"I-I'm so sorry this happened to you," she whispers, opening her arms for her. The girl walks weakly and falls right into her arms. Ivy cradles the back of her head as she weeps against her shoulder sobbing loudly. Hoseok bends down in front of her, smiling comfortingly as he pats the girl's head.
"Call the police." Ivy says barely able to let her voice come out.
Hoseok nods before getting up to make the call. She turns her head back to the man and then pulls away from the girl.
"Do you know him?" she asks softly and the girl nods weakly.
"He's my uncle," Ivy nods placing a kiss to the girl's forehead.
"Don't worry, he won't touch a single woman in his life now."
