Music Insert: Labyrinth Zone (By Masato Nakamura!)

Our heroes, still pursuing Dr. Robotnik, ended up in the aquatic temple of the Labyrinth Zone. A flooded ruin surrounded with murky water. Sonic felt uncomfortable about this because, you guessed it, he CANNOT swim.

S/n: "We found the answer to your question, Clover."

Clover: *Sees the water and cringes* "Eugh! It's murky, green and gross."

Sam: "We'll have to use our scuba gear."

S/n: "You girls do that, Lil' bro and I will swim the ol' fashioned way."

Sure enough, S/n dug through the item bag and tossed a Blue Koopa Shell to Y/n. And she found a Frog Suit as well.

Alex: "Are you two sure these Power-Ups will help you?"

Britney: "They don't seem useful in fighting."

Y/n: "Maybe not, but it does help us swim faster."

S/n: "You sure you girls don't need Frog Suits?"

Clover: "We're good. We spies are SO prepared."

Just like that, the spies pressed the buttons on the belts of their catsuits that activated their scuba gear. Meanwhile, S/n transformed into Frog S/n and Y/n into Shell Y/n.

Y/n: "I'll stick with Sonic. You ragazze go first."

S/n: "Don't you dare drown each other. And remember, don't let a Badnik touch ya, or you can say goodbye to your power-up."

The girls and Frog S/n dove into the water as Sonic rode on Shell Y/n's... shell. They first encountered some Burrobots, until Sonic kicked Shell Y/n the Badniks, freeing the imprisoned animals. The two friends were on their way to meet up with the girls. Meanwhile, Frog S/n and the scuba spies were swimming through the currents as they found a way up.

Frog S/n: "Let's see what's up there."

They swam up as they found an elevator conveyor which lifted the spies out of the water as they deactivated their scuba flippers in time.

Sam: "Better watch where we step."

Alex: "Ancient places are meant to be booby trapped."

Clover: "C'mon. How could this be booby trapped?"

Unfortunately, she jinxed as she pressed a switch, unknowingly and the platform beneath collapsed! Frog S/n noticed it and pursued after them down a steep water slide!

Frog S/n: *To the audience* "Life's full of surprises. What else do you dudes expect?"

MEANWHILE...

Sonic & Shell Y/n were still underwater as the blue hedgehog struggles to survive with limited air. Y/n, however, thought of another idea.

Y/n: *Discards his shell* "Just take the shell, Sonic. You need it more than I do."

Sure enough, Sonic put the Shell on as it reduces to his size while Y/n pulled a spare Frog Suit and transformed into Frog Y/n.

Frog Y/n: "If that shell bothers you, we'll find a dry place to trade."

Sonic didn't mind at all, but before moving on, they found a mob of Orbinauts, known as Unidasus, blocking their way. Y/n thought of an idea as Sonic the same. The hedgehog entered the shell and Y/n kicked it towards the aquatic enemies as the Badniks were trashed and the animal hostages were released. Along the way, Y/n & Sonic were swimming through the Labyrinth carefully, they were collecting rings and among the Zone's treasure, the duo found an emerald.

Y/n: "Jackpot! Another Chaos Emerald!"

Sonic inspected it and indeed it was a Chaos Emerald. The Green Emerald was now in their grasp but their journey was far from over. Sonic gave a thumbs up to Y/n.

Y/n: "Come on, Sonic. We gotta find the girls."

As the boys exited the water, the girls landed where Y/n & Sonic got out.

S/n: *Grunted* "...Rough landing..."

Britney: "I'll say."

Clover: *Sees Y/n* "Y/N!!" *Clung onto him* "I thought I would never see you again! This Labyrinth is a murky death trap!!"

Y/n: "I'm pleased you and the others okay, Clove. Plus, Sonic and I found a Green Chaos Emerald."

Sam: "Nice work, boys."

Alex: "May be a good time to get out of here."

The heroes approached a vertical tunnel known as a shaft, but nearby the entrance was Robotnik!

The evil doctor panicked and retreated up the tunnel. Worse still, the water level began to rise!

Clover: "The water's going up!"

Sam: "And our oxygen tanks are running low on air!"

S/n: "Now is a good time to use the Frog Suits now!"

The girls wasted no time as they grabbed the remaining Frog Suits and transformed into the Frog Spies.

Alex: "Remind us to thank Peach for the power ups."

S/n: "Remember, don't get hit by the traps or you'll lose your powers."

Sam: "Good to know."

Y/n: "Quick! After that Egghead!"

Wasting no time, the heroes swam upwards as they avoided the spears and gargoyle statues spitting fireballs. It wasn't easy as their safety is their top priority. They swam fast as their legs could support them. At last, they reached the end of the Labyrinth Zone!

Y/n: "Whew! Made it!"

Dr. Robotnik saw the heroes have survived and he was furious. He made a hasty retreat as team took notice!

S/n: "Ugh! There goes Robuttnik!"

Clover: "At least we don't have to be here anymore."

Sam: "Plus, Y/n & Sonic found a Chaos Emerald already."

Alex: *Sees the Capsule* "Now let's see these poor Animals free and be on our way!"

Sonic did the honors, releasing all the Peckys and Rockys and sped off after Robotnik.

Y/n: "Wait for us, Sonic!"

Our heroes survived the trials of the Labyrinth Zone, but their journey is far from over as they're nearing Robotink's fortress of South Island. Next Zone up ahead is the Star Light Zone. Can they survive the beauty and perils of the next Zone?
