Sunday - 6:50 AM - Arcade Mania - The Groove - Beverly Hills

It was an average day like most days in Los Angeles; Hot, humid and miserable... Unless you're the Super Y/n Brothers. Speaking of which, in the last chapter, the siblings were summoned by Jerry on behalf of W.O.O.H.P. and offered to become spies of the agency as a sign of his gratitude for rescuing Alex, Sam, Clover and Britney.

Right now, our protagonist is preparing an interview for the new employees of Arcade Mania in the lounge as S/n arrived with the morning mail.

S/n: "Yo, bro! Check the headlines!"

The tomboyish waitress handed her brother the newspaper and Y/n read the headlines.

Y/n: *Reading the headlines* "Evil Turtle Monster expected in court for War Crimes!?!?"

S/n: "Check the mail too! We've been summoned!"

Y/n reviewed the mail carefully. He found two subpoenas addressed to him & S/n.

Y/n: *Reading and was shocked* "We've been summoned to testify against Koopa!?!?"

S/n: "Bro! That's ridiculously crazy to hear this!"

Y/n: "How would Nintendo respond to that?!"

S/n: "Don't know, but serves him right for torturing the girls, Peach and the Mushroom KIngdom."

Y/n: *Sighed* "Never mind, sis. We'll testify everything afterwards. Right now, I need this interview to be professional. Do you have the outfits ready for the girls?"

S/n: "Yep. I managed to make them myself."

Y/n: "Like the first uniform I made for ya?"

S/n: "Yep. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to make this."

Y/n: "Okay, I've decided the positions for the girls. Alex n' Britney will be the Arcade Attendants and Clove n' Sam will be the waitresses."

S/n: "You're sure they'll handle this? They're spies, not miracle workers."

Y/n: "That's why you and I are gonna train them."

S/n: "Alright. If you insist. I'm gonna make some renovations in the basement and use the pipe to the Mushroom World as a doorway.

As S/n went to the arcade's basement as the Spy Quartet arrived.

Y/n: "Ah! They're here!" *Enters the dining room* "Morning, ladies!"

Alex, Clover, Sam & Britney: "Good morning, Y/n!!"

Sam: "Hope we're not late."

Y/n: "According to my watch, you ladies arrived unfashionably early."

Britney: "Early?"

Alex: "That explains why this isn't open yet."

Y/n: "Only open to the employees of this place, of course."

Clover: "So, where are we gonna have the interviews here?"

Y/n: "I set it up in the place's employee lounge."

Sam: "I didn't know this place had an employee lounge."

Y/n: "Just follow me, please."

The girls followed Y/n to the second floor with two rooms. One is the main office of Y/n and the second one is the lounge of employee's only. Over the past few hours, the girls discussed their strengths, weaknesses, goals, and hobbies.

One long interview later...

Y/n: "Alright, ladies. I found the right positions for you here in Arcade Odyssey. Sam n' Clove, you two are the waitresses."

Clover: "Ooh! I'll accept that!" *Thought to herself* "Plus, seeing my knight in a chef's armor is always the best and this'll be my chance to become his second girlfriend!"

Y/n: "Alex n' Britney, you two will be arcade attendants. Big sis and I will give you four proper training sessions before we open."

Sam: "Anything else we should know?"

Alex: "Like our time schedule, rules and uniforms?"

Y/n: "The only rules in this place is to play, eat and drink responsibly. The arcade area doesn't open until 11:00 AM. The dining area opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We close at 8:00 PM but I work after hours for the arcade area and DoorDash unless I feel extremely tired."

S/n: *Entered the main office* "Hey, guys. I got the uniforms."

Alex: "What else do we know, Y/n?"

Y/n: "A few important things; Attitude is everything, the customer is always right but there's one most important rule. Lots of men here are always here because of my sister's assets. This place has strict no sexual harassment policy. If you see anyone harassing you, please notify me immediately and I'll handle them personally."

S/n: "Dude, don't be too protective of them."

Y/n: "It's nothing personal, big sis. I want their first day to be smooth. Including Alex."

Alex only blushed.

Sam: "We appreciate it for you, Y/n."

Y/n: "You're welcome, but if you ever get lost or confused, there's some copies of the employee's handbook I placed on the cash registers and desks. Now remember, deliver lots of service with a smile but don't let any pervert or voyeur take control of you and your life, because why?"

Y/n & S/n: *Simultaneously* "Perverts are the demon scum of the Earth. Avoid them. Don't say hi. They lust to harass the opposite gender which is different from them. To interact with them is to die."

Y/n: "Look I know that sounds objectively prejudiced, but that's how Mother taught us."

S/n: "Ya know you're taking the gentlemen's code way TOO seriously, lil' bro.."

Clover: "Well to my perspective, it's very true from a handsome gentlemanly hero.~" *Winks at Y/n*

Sam: "You don't have to push yourself for that, Y/n."

Y/n: "I know, but as a man myself, we must respect women properly and professionally."

Britney: "I think we get the idea. So, Y/n, when do we start our shifts?"

Y/n: "As of today, after 1:00 PM, you four began your positions. In the meantime, I'll train Clove n' Sam. Big sis, I need you to train Allie n' Britty."

Alex: *Thought to herself and blushed* "He called me Allie."

S/n: "Sure. In the meantime, Y'all better get in uniform if ya wanna be professional. Luckily I ordered some more uniforms in case we're running low."

Clover: "Where is the changing room?"

Y/n: "Second floor, end of the hall."

Alex, Clover, Sam & Britney: "Thanks, Y/n!!"

The spy girls went to the employee's locker rooms as Y/n was setting up their tasks and notes.

During Lunchtime at 1:00 PM... This Happened!

The plumbers were busy taking and cooking orders. It was a real lunch rush but they were prepared as they set up in case. In the kitchen, Y/n explained to Sam & Clover their tasks.

Y/n: "All you girls have to do is greet, seat, and escort customers. Up-selling additional menu products to guests when appropriate. Checking IDs to prevent minors from ordering alcoholic beverages. Handing out the restaurant's menus to the guests. Taking food and beverage orders using software, order slips, a server notepad, or memorization."

Sam: "Do you have any notepads and pens?"

Y/n: "Way ahead of ya. I will assist you since I'm the chef of this place."

Sure enough, a few minutes later Y/n trained Clover & Sam their duties as waitresses and soon started working. The two waitresses were taking orders as Y/n was busy making their meals. Meanwhile, S/n is training the new arcade attendants.

S/n: "Alright, you two. Since you two are new here, your job is to supervise the use of games machines, look out for the safety of customers, stop any inappropriate behavior and the work involves handling money."

Alex: "Well... I had a friendly bond with video games but I'm not much of an accountant."

Britney: "Don't worry, Alex. I'll take charge of the money."

S/n: "Alright, Brit. You handle the cash. Allie, you can look after games machines and supervise the people using the customers."

Alex: "Okay, but what happens if one of the arcade games doesn't work?"

S/n: "My lil' bro took an IT course during his senior high school year to help troubleshoot. He'll help you with that. Oh, if the arcade area and counter gets dirty, help out with the janitorial duties."

Alex: "Fair enough."

Britney: "Anything else?"

S/n: "Two more things. If you have an important college test, Lil' bro authorized it for the four of you to use the employee lounge to study."

Alex: "Nice."

S/n: "And if you two are feeling bored; employees only can play the games free of charge. Nothing guaranteed."

Britney: "A little too generous for us, isn't it?"

S/n: "My first response exactly."

A few minutes later, Alex & Britney were managing the cash and customer service while checking out the Y/n Bros.' game collection.

Alex: "You know, I actually made a good choice."

Britney: "At least our boss is giving us better pay."

Alex: "We can only hope."

Meanwhile, Y/n was serving the customers the food with Sam & Clover. Everything was going smooth like peanut butter.

Y/n: "Phew! Good thing, I hired and divided the girls into two groups."

Just as Y/n was about to finish another order, three women entered the establishment. They bear the resemblance of Alex, Sam & Clover!

"Carmen, Gabriella & Stella!"

Y/n: *Thought to himself* "...Weird... Those three ladies look awfully a lot like Allie, Sam n' Clove." *Outloud as he greeted them warmly* "Welcome to Arcade Mania! How may I be of service?"

Stella: "Yes. Table for three, please."

Y/n: "Certainly. This way, please."

The three customers followed Y/n to a circle booth as they sat down with the menus on the table.

Y/n: "I'll assign your waitress for today. In the meantime, would you three ladies like any refreshments?"

Carmen: "We'll just have water for now."

Y/n: "Three glasses of water comin' up!"

Y/n went to the kitchen as three customers viewed Arcade Mania around. However, what he doesn't know, they're the three mothers of Alex, Sam & Clover. Speaking of which, a short time later, Clover arrived with the water glasses.

Clover: "Here are your waters. Sorry my boss didn't show up because he's-" *Sees her own mother* "MOM?!"

Stella: "Clover!? You work here, now?!"

Gabriella: "This is surprising."

Clover: "Well, you're not gonna believe me at first, but we just got kidnapped by a giant turtle monster but Y/n was brave enough to save the day."

Carmen: "That explains why you girls are in the newspapers."

Stella: "And you didn't even tell me?"

Clover: *Sweatdropped* "I was but I couldn't stop thinking about Y/n. He saved me from being scorched to death."

Stella: *Disbelieved* "What!? By who?!"

Before Clover could answer, Y/n called out!

Y/n: "Clove! I need your assistance with this order!"

Clover: *Calls back* "Coming, Y/n!" *Turns to her mother* "Sorry, mom, but I have to get back to work!"

Stella was still flabbergasted about her own daughter being imprisoned but was upset, not knowing who locked her up.

Stella: "Ugh! Whoever threatened my daughter to death like that, I'm going to sue and scold them!"

Gabriella: "Easy, Stella. I'm sure their new friend will have an explanation for this."

Carmen: "Speaking of which, where's the chef?"

Right on cue, Y/n arrived with some dishes for the spy mothers.

Y/n: "My apologies for the wait, ladies. Here ya go! The finest dishes I ever cooked up!!"

The young adult cook handed the three mothers their meals.

Stella: *Sniffs the food's smell* "That smells good."

Carmen: "Agreed."

The ladies dug in themselves and they stared in awe. They were mostly satisfied by Y/n's cooking.

Gabriella: *Tasting the food* "This stuff's delicious!"

Stella: "Yeah!" *Eating* "I never tasted food THIS good."

Carmen: "Young man, when did you learn to cook? This is amazing."

Y/n: "Well... A chef never tells their secrets unless it's necessary."

Gabriella: "Is it true that our daughters are working here as well as Clover?"

Y/n: "Yes, they are."

Stella: "Who runs this place? I wanna compliment the chef and the food."

Y/n: "...The truth is... I run this place."

The Spy Mothers: *In Disbelief* "You run this place?!"

Y/n: "Yes, but I'm not alone. My big sis helps me with the businesses."

Carmen: "Kinda too much, don't ya think?"

Y/n: "Not really."

Then, Gabriella noticed a cut out newspaper on the billboard with the headline "BEVERLY HILLS & LOS ANGELES SAVED!" with the Y/n Bros., the Spies, Peach, Toad & Donkey Kong.

Gabriella: "Say, aren't you the same man in the newspaper from several weeks ago?"

Y/n: "That's-a-me, Y/n!!"

Stella: "Hey! I remember you, from the Super Y/n Brothers commercial!"

Carmen: "It says that you do plumbing services without anything expensive."

Y/n: "That's true! You can forget the expensive plumbing companies where you're just a face. With the Super Y/n Brothers, you're family!"

Gabriella: "Hate to admit but you do have a major point."

S/n: "Yo! Anybody still have room for dessert?"

S/n appeared with some shortcakes, sheet cakes, and puddings while the spy mothers gazed at her chest in disbelief.

Stella, Carmen & Gabriella: *Thought together* "My God!!!"

Gabriella: "Um... yeah. I'll have dessert."

Carmen: Sorry... We couldn't help but notice that-"

Stella: "Your bosom's huge!!"

Gabriella & Carmen: "Stella!!"

S/n: *Passes the desserts to the mothers* "Chill out, dudes. I'm used to people who say things about my chest size."

Y/n: *Blushes* "Excuse my big sis's assets. She was born that way, though, I'm not sure."

Carmen: "Is that even true?"

Stella: "Enough of that. I wonder what these desserts taste like?"

They took a bite of the different dishes and they awed in amazement... Then they continued chowing down.

Gabriella: "This is delicious!!"

Stella: "Agreed! We should come here more oftenly!"

Carmen: "Not because of our daughters, but the food here as well."

Y/n: "Don't worry, I'd promise to a good boss and treat them fairly. Don't forget, for first timers, it's on the house."

Stella: "Why thank you!"

LATER THAT EVENING...

7:00 PM - Arcade Mania - The Groove - Beverly Hills

It was closing time at the restaurant and everyone was waiting and willing to go home. Y/n was counting today's quota while the others were cleaning the floors and tables.

Y/n: "$210.35. Very impressive. Not bad, girls. You four just met your quotas on the first day on the job."

Britney: "Thanks, Y/n."

S/n: "So what do you think of your new job, Alex."

Alex: "It's actually good, I'll be honest."

Sam: "Are we still getting paid or working for Arcade Mania?"

Y/n: "Yep. You four will be paid monthly."

Clover: "Paid by the end of month?! That's too long!"

S/n: "Actually, you'll get paid with a big amount of dough on the last working day of the month."

Y/n: "You four will get paid individually and fairly. I will deposit the money you earned into your bank accounts."

Britney: "At least that's fair."

Clover: *Seductively clung Y/n's arm* "I never regret having you as my boss, Y/n. Would you be kind enough to give me a raise~?" *With a hint of Sultry*

Y/n blushes intensely as he tries to look away from her cleavage. Yet, the others didn't want their new boss to look uncomfortable.

Sam: *Annoyed* "All right, Clover. Unless you want to get fired early, you better stop."

Clover: "Show some gratitude for someone for saving our lives from being scorched to death, Sammy."

Sam: "At least show some decency!"

Y/n: "Ladies, let's not start a fight, alright?"

Alex: *Sweatdropped* "Sorry about Clover and Sammy, Y/n. They usually argue sometimes."

Y/n: *Shrugged sheepishly* "It happens..."

S/n: "Alright, guys. We'll see ya, first thing tomorrow at Malibu. G'night!"

The Spy Quartet: "Good night, Super Y/n Brothers!"

The four girls were leaving the establishment as Y/n helped S/n clean the last tables and area.

S/n: "Thanks for the help, lil' bro."

Y/n: "No prob. Just need to take out the garbage and we'll be on our way back home."

TWO SECONDS LATER...

Y/n was taking out the trash as he threw it in the dumpster. However, when he was finished, a flash of gold was shining brightly by the full moon. Y/n covered his eyes.

Y/n: "Huh? It's night but the sun's not here...?"

Sure enough, Y/n followed the beam of gold light to the source of it. A few minutes later in a nearby alleyway, and rustling from the trash can. As our hero approached cautiously, he found a miraculous discovery!

????: "Yoshi!"

"Golden Yoshi!"

A gold Baby Yoshi came out of the trash can as its gold skin shone brightly and Y/n shield his eyes from the brightness.

Y/n: "Sheesh! That moon is making that dinosaur have its own spotlight." *Inspects the Yoshi and gasped* "Mamma mia! It's an actually Yoshisaur!"

The Gold Yoshi cheekily licked Y/n's face, jumped over and fled from him.

Y/n: "Hey, where's he going?! Come back here, ya scamp! It's dangerous out there!"

Y/n chased after the Gold Yoshi as fast as he could. They ran out of The Groove and into the streets of Beverly Hills! The shimmering dino hopped in joy and ran across town while Y/n trailing behind him. Several people took notice as they watched the chase.

Y/n: *Panting while running* "Stop! Come back here!"

MEANWHILE...

Mandy and her BFFs were busy enjoying themselves as they were enjoying their fruit shakes.

"Mandy and her BFFs, Caitlin & Dominique!"

Mandy: "These refreshments hit the spot. Y'know, things have been quiet since those loser girls disappeared."

Caitlin: "Didn't you hear the news? The Super Y/n Brothers saved Beverly Hills from an evil turtle monster."

Dominique: "And saved those loser girls too."

Mandy: *Only huffed* "The world is only losing its pride over nothing. Why would they focus on them more than me?"

Before Mandy could think of anything else, she bumped into the Gold Yoshi and her fruit shake was spilled on the ground.

Mandy: "AAHH!!" *Growls at the Yoshi* "Watch where you're going, you overgrown lizard! You made me spill some shake on my clothes!"

Gold Yoshi: "....?" *Tilted his head in confusion*

Caitlin: *Inspects the Gold Yoshi* "Hey. What is that thing, some kind of donkey?"

Dominique: "He doesn't look like a donkey. He has no ears."

Mandy: "Hello! It's a lizard! And a stupid one!"

The Gold Yoshi didn't take Mandy and her friends kindly and before they knew it, the Yoshi extended its tongue, grabbed Mandy and ate her just as Y/n arrived!

Y/n: "There you are, ya naughty scamp!"

Gold Yoshi: "Yoshi!"

Dominique: "Hey! Are you one of the Super Y/n Bros.?"

Y/n: "Yes...?"

Caitlin: "You're lizard pet ate Mandy!"

Y/n: "Bad Gold Yoshisaur! Spit her out!"

Sure enough, the gold dino spat her out at Caitlin and Dominique as they were covered in saliva and spit.

Mandy: *Sees themselves in drool in disgust* "AAAAAUUGH!!!" *To Y/n* "You faucet freak! Your freaky lizard did this!"

Y/n: *Laughs sheepishly* "Sorry..." *Sees the Gold Yoshi ran off* "Hey! Stop!"

The plumber ran after the Gold Yoshi as Mandy and her gang were cleaning themselves from the drool.

Mandy: *Growled angrily* "Keep that lizard loser on a leash!"

A few moments later, the Gold Yoshi ran through the town of Beverly Hills and waltzed to the entrance to the farmers market. The dino drooled at the fruit on sale Just before the Gold Yoshi could eat the produce, Y/n surprised mounted on its back. The Gold Yoshi began to buck as it tried to run from Y/n.

Y/n: *Taming the Yoshi the best as could* "Whoa, boy! Whoa!!"

Y/n was steering the Gold Yoshi in to avoid accidents. The dino tried to grab Y/n with its tongue but the hero had other ideas. The two ran by a nearby fruit stand as the Gold Yoshi gobbled up many fruits but Y/n left a bag of cash for the vendor, who was surprisingly off guard.

Y/n: "You're welcome!!"

The Gold Yoshi continued bucking as the crowd watched Y/n resisting the dino's wild resistance. Suddenly, Y/n got an idea. He pulled a few berries and melons from the Mushroom World and the Gold Yoshi sniffed the fruits in gluttony. The plumber threw the fruits up high as the gold dino doubled jumped onto a random stand-up tent and on the triple jump, the two jumped high up and the Gold Yoshi gobbled up the berries at once and then the melons the second time. The dino was satisfied but the duo fell down quickly!

Y/n: "Gold Yoshisaur! Save us from being concrete!!"

The Gold Yoshi heeded Y/n's warning and as they were falling, the dino extended it's tongue and latched onto a nearby street lamp, reeled in with a front flip as Y/n was launched off upwards as time slowed down when he did a triple front-flip and the Gold Yosh landed safely on its feet and Y/n landed on it's back.

The Gold Yoshi: *Did a victory pose and a Victory sign* "Yoshi!!"

Y/n tipped off his hat while he was dizzy as the spectators cheered and clapped in amazement. Some even recorded the Gold Yoshi's little stunt performance as Y/n got off.

Y/n: "Sorry for the interrupted confusion folks. I'll be taking this Golden Yoshisaur back where he original-"

However, Y/n was interrupted when he was scooped up by the Gold Yoshi and ran back to The Groove.

Y/n: "MAMMA MIA!!"

LATER THAT NIGHT...

The two were finally back home as dusk fell, Y/n was tired out as the Gold Yoshi carried him in front of Arcade Mania.

Y/n: *Yawned and dismounted* "Thanks, buddy. Man I hope Big sis' is not too mad at me for being late."

He jinxed it as S/n appeared from the entrance.

S/n: "There ya are, lil' bro! Where've ya been?"

Y/n: *Stutters* "Well... uh..."

Suddenly, S/n noticed Y/n riding the Gold Yoshi.

S/n: *Gasped* "Dude! Where'd you find that Yoshi?!"

Y/n: "Don't ask me. Your guess is as good as mine. I found him while I was taking out the trash!"

S/n: "Hope it didn't cause a ruckus."

Y/n: "Well... he tried to eat Mandy but told him to spit her out. I chased him to the farmer's market. He nearly ate the whole fruit stand but I paid the vendor my own money and I somehow got him tamed."

S/n: "Glad that ended in a good way. If you're gonna keep it as a pet, you should give it a name."

Y/n: "Well, he's a Gold Yoshi... How about... Glimmer?"

S/n: "Dude, that's a girl's name. Ya can't use it on a male Yoshi."

Glimmer: *Happily jumps* "Yo-Yo-Yoshi!!"

Y/n: *Smirked* "See? He likes it."

S/n: *Sighed* "Alright, fine. C'mon, we need to head back to the Mushroom Kingdom."

Y/n: "Glimmer just got here."

S/n: "We can't let Jerry or others find out about this! What are we supposed to do?!"

Y/n: *Thinks for a moment* "Okay... We'll take him to the Mushroom Kingdom to stay for the night and tomorrow-"

S/n: "We're not bringing him back here."

Glimmer gave S/n the pouty eyes. She tried to resist it, but failed.

S/n: *Sighed in annoyance* "Fine... One day, all-day, tomorrow and back to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Y/n: "Don't forget we have a court appearance on the day of Koopa's trial."

S/n: "Do we need to tell the girls about this?"

Y/n: "How else? We'll miss out our testimony against Bowser, his sentencing and there's no denying it."

S/n: "We get it. Anyway, it's getting late. We should head back home now."

Y/n: "C'mon, Glim. You'll love the Mushroom Kingdom."

Glimmer: "Yoshi!"

S/n guided the duo to the Warp Pipe to the Mushroom Kingdom and were on their home.
