Chapter 8- Garath and Clover's Wedding

Beverly High School: Clover's POV

I couldn't believe I got engaged last night. But what Garath didn't know is that I went out and bought an engagement ring for him. I was able to get it while arriving at school on time. Soon, I heard the sound of a loud engine as Garath pulled up. He was driving a blue 1969 Dodge Charger RT.

I watched as Garath got out of his car and began strutting through the hall. He was wearing a button-up shirt made of denim, blue jeans, black Panther Slip-on shoes, his Yin-Yang pendant and a pair of aviator sunglasses.

I had never seen him so handsome before. He struts up to me and smiles.

"Good morning, sugar. Fancy meeting you here." Garath said.

"Good morning, baby. You are looking pretty sharp today." I replied.

Garath chuckled.

"Only for you, Clover." He said.

I blushed.

"Well, I've got something for ya." I replied.

I showed him a diamond-encrusted ring made of gold.

Garath smiled.

"It's beautiful. I like it." He said.

"I knew you would." I replied, as I slipped the ring on his finger.

Braedey and the girls were watching.

"Now that's what I like to see." Alex said.

"Yeah. Those two are meant for each other." Sam replied.

Braedey smiles at Alex.

"And soon, it'll be our turn. And personally, I couldn't ask for better bride than you, Alex." He said.

"And I couldn't ask for a better husband, either." Alex replied, as she hugged Braedey tightly.

But then Mandy and her friends came along.

"So, the parentless loser is engaged now?" She said smugly.

I glared at her.

"Shut up, Mandy." I said.

"Aww, are you embarrassed? Is the blonde loser gonna cry?" Mandy taunted.

I was about to lose my temper, but Garath put a warm hand on my shoulder.

"I'll take care of this." He said.

He power-marched towards Mandy and her friends and towered over them.

"Oh. So the parentless loser is stepping up to protect his fiancee? That's cute." Mandy said mockingly.

"Now you've asked for it." Garath said, as he clenched his right fist and raised it up into the air.

I heard a surge of power coursing through him as he prepared to put Mandy in her place.

"Mushu!" Garath yelled as he punched the ground without cringing.

A strange, blue colored apparition appeared behind him.

That strange apparition turned out to be a portal, and a dragon spirit came through.

Garath stood up and smirked as the dragon prepared to attack.

"What?" Mandy asked in shock. Her goons watched in amazement while me and my friends were in awe to see Garath summon a dragon spirit like that.

Suddenly, Garath roared out a great command, as he pointed at Mandy.

"Attack!"

The dragon punched Mandy in the chest, breaking a few ribs. The blow sent her flying and she crashed into a wall. The dragon vanished into thin air before Garath walked over to Mandy. He towers over her with his hands on his hips.

"Next time, I'll make sure he puts you in hospital for a decade. Ya got that?" He asked angrily.

Mandy was afraid and ran away as fast as she could. Her goons followed her and left. Garath returned to me, Braedey and the girls.

"What was that?" Alex asked.

"That was one of my spirit guardians. He's also the most powerful of all my family guardians. His name is Mushu." Garath answered.

"Wait. Did you just say that Mushu is the most powerful guardian of your family?" Braedey asked.

"Yes. Satoko the tiger is right behind him, and I can summon her in a similar fashion to how I summoned Mushu. But I also have a third spirit guardian; a wolf named E.I.N." Garath said.

"So, your tattoo isn't handmade. It's part of you? Sam asked.

"Yes. When my parents were murdered, they promised to protect me for the rest of my life. After that, they bound themselves to my soul. Satoko represents the dark half, while Mushu represents the light half. When E.I.N. bound himself to me, a large mooncrest tattoo appeared on my back." Garath explained.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My new fiancee has a trio of spirit guardians who guide and protect him. One of them was a tiger, one was a wolf, and the last one is a dragon.

"So, based on what I just witnessed, they serve as minions. And yet, their main job is to guide you through life and protect you?" I asked.

"Exactly." He answered.

Church: 3rd Person POV

Garath was excited. Today's the day that he marries the love of his life; Clover. He was dressed in a black tuxedo and sported an Omega Seamaster 300m watch.

Garath waited patiently for Clover to arrive, and he couldn't stop smiling. Soon, Clover entered the room. She sported a beautiful, red velvet gown.

Clover was escorted by Braedey and soon, she stood in front of Garath. She smiled at him as Braedey returned to his seat next to Alex.

"We have come to celebrate the occasion of two souls becoming one, through the bonds of true love." The pastor said.

Garath gladly took Clover's hands into his own and brought her closer to him. The pastor looked at Garath.

"Do you, Garath, take Clover as your beloved wife, now and forever?" He asked.

"I do." Garath answered.

The pastor turned his attention to Clover.

"And do you, Clover, take Garath as your strong and protective husband, now and forever?" He asked.

"I do." Clover answered.

"Then by the power of Christ, I pronounce to you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The pastor said.

Garath and Clover gladly made out while everyone clapped and cheered for them. After pulling apart, they walked down the aisle to Garath's Aston Martin DB5 which waited outside. Garath opened the passenger door for Clover.

"Would the young lady care to step this way?" He asked smoothly.

Clover giggled shyly, as she climbed into his car.

"You are a true gentleman. And quite a charming one at that." She said.

After closing the passenger side door, Garath went around and climbed into the driver seat.

"So, where shall we have our honeymoon?" Clover asked.

"Miami." Garath answered.

Clover beamed when she heard that their honeymoon was gonna be in Miami.

"I like it. I've always wanted to go to Miami." She said.

Garath chuckled, as he began driving to the reception.

"As have I. But, I wanted to share the joy with you, baby. So, I decided to have our honeymoon there." He said.

Reception: my POV

Clover and I arrived at the reception, and we couldn't be happier. As we entered the ballroom, the DJ played the music that I requested for our arrival.

🎶You got something to say, your hands are tied.
Open your mouth, open it wide.
Let the freedom begin.

Get on the floor, just let it drop.
Don't it feel good, don't it feel hot?
Feel the fire within.

I want to see you strut, strut, strut.
Come on, walk for me.
Strut, strut, strut.
How you wanna be.

Everybody's looking for some love, but they don't know
How to let it all hang out and that's why they're solo,
Solo, solo.
Don't want to be solo,
Solo, solo.
Don't want to be solo.🎶

I sat next to Clover at the family table.

"Can I get you anything, Clover?" I asked.

"Soda's fine." Clover answered.

"Sure. I'll be right back." I replied.

I headed for the drink counter and got Clover a soda.

"Can I get you anything else, sir?" The server asked.

"Vodka martini. Shaken, not stirred." I answered.

The server prepared my martini and it was ready in less than a minute.

I took my vodka martini and returned to Clover.

"Here ya go, babe." I said.

"Thanks baby. What'd you get?" Clover asked.

"I got a vodka martini. Shaken, not stirred." I answered.

"Looks like we've got James Bond in the house." Clover replied.

"Indeed. Through research on the internet, I learned to be a charming ladies man, just like Bond himself. And I'm quite proud that I did, because now I'm married to the most beautiful woman in Beverly Hills." I said.

"And who would that be?" Clover asked, teasingly.

I chuckled.

"You." I answered.

We all enjoyed a good feast, and soon it was time to cut the wedding cake. It was a Red Velvet cake with candy flowers all over it.

"I had this wedding cake prepared especially for you, Clover." I said.

"Aww, baby. Red Velvet is my favorite. How did you know?" Clover asked.

"Red Velvet happens to be my favorite as well." I answered.

Clover cut the cake and nothing was gonna ruin this perfect day.

Hotel room: my POV

After the reception, Clover and I returned to our hotel room and snuggled in each other's arms.

"That was the best wedding I've ever had." Clover said.

"Same here. And now, nothing will ever separate us." I replied.

Clover stroked my face with affection.

"Til death do us part." She said, sweetly.

"For better. Where I'm from, there's no such thing as worse." I replied.

Clover rested her head on my pecs and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Goodnight sweetheart." She said.

"Goodnight baby." I replied, as we both fell asleep in a warm embrace.
