I feel like Anakin listens to rap and a lot of rock when other people are around, but he really has a deep abiding passion for pop music. Like, when he's with the 501st, he listens to the transformers soundtracks and then when he's alone he listens to the twilight soundtracks and a lot of selena gomez and britney spears. He also listens to a lot of bebe rexha. At one point rex walks in on him when he's got an Ava Max song on and he's like what the heck and Anakin runs over to his stereo and turns it off and then he's all like no one can know about this and rex is like your secret's safe with me, general. then of course word somehow gets back to obi wan. and the rest of the jedi council. no one really knows if it was a holocall from anakin when he forgot to turn off his boom box or if commander cody heard britney spears blaring out of anakin's room and told Obi Wan about it. Padme of course knows about Anakin's secret music passions. She and Anakin actually have karaoke nights when both are on Coruscant until the wee hours of the morning. Oh, and Anakin also secretly listens to opera and he and Padme are constantly trying to reach the super high soprano notes. Padme is actually able to reach those notes sometimes, but Anakin always sounds like a dying chicken that's giving birth to a fully grown cow.

I honestly have no clue as to how this idea came to be. It's probably due to my chronic sleep deprivation. you're welcome for this random opinion/headcanon that no one really asked for.
