(Y/n) P.O.V

When my phone woke me up the next morning, I got ready quickly and ate an apple.

I jogged to the Lucky Cat Cafe and opened the door.

"I'm ready." I said to no one in particular. I ran to the kitchen to see Hiro already working.

"Why do you help me? You could be doing what ever you want instead." I asked him.

"It's nice to help out." He simply said.

I began washing the dishes and drying them quickly, the awkward silence filed the air once more. I however decided to break it.

"That day... When you caught me." I said quietly. Hiro stopped what he was doing and turned to face me. I continued to look at the now clean plate I was holding. My reflection staring back at me sadly.

"I... I was stealing because I was hungry." I admitted.

"But, your family is rich." Hiro pointed out. I closed my eyes and opened them.

"Its just... I was hungry and... My- parents are uh... Abusive." I lied. There goes the truth!

I stopped. If I told him I was actually parentless, he would make me go to the orphanage or have a foster family. Living with strangers either way was uncomfortable.

"What do you mean?" He asked surprised.

"They aren't abusive as in physical... They don't give me money to buy food." I explained.

"Right... Sorry if I scared you... The day I chased you up that tree." Hiro said.

"It's cool..." I mumbled. We continued to work in silence once more until late afternoon when the wind started to howl and rain dropped heavily with splashes of thunder.

"(Y/n), you can't go home in this weather! Just stay the night, call your parents and let them know." Cass insisted.

"Oh no it's alright." I disagreed.

"No, your going to get sick." She said, pushing me up some stairs. I sighed in defeat as Hiro lead me up the first set of stairs.

He took me up another set and into his bedroom with two beds.

"You can borrow Tadashi's bed." Hiro pointed to the bed. I looked in confusion.

"Who's Tadashi?" I asked as he froze.

"Uh... My older brother." He said casually.

"Oh... Isn't he here right now?" I guessed.

"Uh no... He is busy... At an important uh... Exchange program for robotics." Hiro said nervously.

"Oh okay." I said. Cass came up the stairs and handed me a towel and some clothes.

"These are some old clothes I had, they should fit you and here's a towel, you can go have a shower now." She smiled.

"Thank you." I smiled. Hiro pointed out where the bathroom was and I walked in quickly.

The shower was warm and refreshing, the first good one in a long time... I usually showered in ice water.

Once I had dried off and changed into the comfortable clothes, I exited the bathroom to see Hiro playing on his X Box.

When he noticed I was done, he turned the station off and put the controller away.

"Can I ask you a question?" I asked.

"You already did." He smirked.

"Seriously though." I said.

"Okay then sure." He said.

"What was that white blob thing that you wanted to scan me? Something like Baymax?" I asked, remembering the peculiar creature.

"Oh! He's a robot Tadashi invented..." Hiro smiled. "He's a nurse bot.... Gonna help a lot of people." Hiro said, drifting off into a deep thought.

Hiro looked at a red case on the floor before sighing and heading to the light switch.

"You better go to sleep." He said as he flicked the switch. I fumbled over to the bed and went under the covers in the darkness.

I heard Hiro make his way to his bed and quickly fall asleep. I did the same to and didn't hesitate at all.
