Thomas and the rest of them all went through the vents. After a couple of turns, they jumped out and Thomas caught Katri when she came out almost stumbling, making sure she didn't hurt herself. She assured she was fine and gently smiled his way. They were on the way to get Teresa and get out of this building. Thomas opened the door looking around the halls. Once he saw it was clear, he ushered everyone, then Aris spoke up.

"You guys go ahead, there's something I gotta do."

"What are you talking about?" asks Katri turning to him.

"Trust me, it's important." Aris responds looking at her. "You guys wanna get out of here, right? Just go."

"I'll go with him," Winston said, assuring them while following Aris.

"Okay Winston, go, go. Come on!" said a frantic Thomas as he began walking down the hall with everyone following thim.

"You sure we can trust this kid?" asks Minho

"You don't wanna know where'd we be without him." Thomas replies turning the corner.

Once they turned, they almost ran into a doctor, but Thomas quickly stopped in his tracks after Katri bumped into his back and everyone stopped just as suddenly. Once the doctor calmed down a little, she looked at everyone suspiciously.

"What are you kids doing out?" She questioned, narrowing her eyes on them.

Pinching her lips tightly, Katri then heard the alarms going off, signaling that they were escaping. They looked around the place, glancing at one another before looking at the doctor in front of them who had widened her eyes now realizing what was going on. She turns and begins running down the hall with everyone chasing her. She didn't get far so they easily caught her.

Katri was gently gripping her arm as they were walking down the hall as the doctor led them to Teresa. They started running while the doctor stumbled as they round the corner, they freeze in their steps.

"Freeze!" A guard shouted, aiming his gun and shooting at the teens.

Everyone ran back down the hall, "Why are they shooting at us?!" Frypan yelled out in question.

"Maybe they think we're escaping, Fry..." Katri deadpanned and looked back seeing Minho standing there as if doing something.

"Minho! What the hell are you doing?" asks Newt, frantic.

Then, Minho ran back towards where the guard was going to be, letting out a small battle cry while knocking the guard out into the wall. Katri was impressed and nods very proud.

"Shit Minho..." Newt muttered.

"I'm impressed..." Katri added on in agreement.

Thomas grabbed the gun from the guard checking to see that it was still loaded. He pushed the doctor in front of them slightly with the gun aimed at her back before they were off again. Soon enough, they made it to the room where they were keeping Teresa.

"Dr. Crawford, are you here to..." One of the doctors began speaking but Thomas shoved himself in with everyone following. "Wait, wait! Okay, okay!"

"Where is she? Where is she!" Thomas demands them to answer. "Teresa?" Thomas looked around for his friend. He then sees curtains closed; he then hands Minho the gun who keeps it aimed at the doctors.

Katri was shocked seeing Teresa laying there, blanket around her with a nasal canula on her face. Katri then glared at the people in front of her.

"Give me your hands!" Newt demands, tying all their hands in front of them so they wouldn't try anything.

"You're never going to get away with this."

"Yeah," Katri thinks for quick moment. "I think we're gonna, stupid klunks..." She then turns around seeing Frypan go to the door.

"Guys? They're coming! Where do we go?"

"Frypan, move!" Newt calls to him, grabbing the table and shoves it to the door, blocking it so the guards didn't get in.

Speaking of the guards began pushing themselves at the door, making the teens move to the other side of the room. They were trapped. Thomas looked at the window on the one side of the room and ushed his friends, back grabbing a stool and hitting the window, trying to break it.

"Newt! Help! Help!" Thomas exclaimed.

Newt grabbed another stool hitting the window in sync with Thomas, the window breaking right away. They all ran to the window and began climbing out. Teresa putting a blanket down on the ground, so she didn't step on the glass. Thomas helped Teresa and then Katri jumped over easily, and they began running. They open the door just to meet a guard on the other side.

Thomas aimed the gun at the man, shooting him. They all stood frozen for a second until Thomas came back to his senses and ushered for everyone to follow him, leaving the shaky man on the floor running past him leaving the shaky man on the floor.

The teens continue running down the hall until they made it to some doors. Thomas grabbed the keycard from his pocket swiping it to open the door, but it wasn't opening. Thomas continued swiping the guard until a familiar voice down the hall was heard.

"Thomas!" Janson spoke, walking towards the teens on the side of the hallway, everyone looks back seeing him walking to them and Thomas aims the gun at him as Janson puts his hands up, still walking towards them.

"Open this damn door, Janson!" Thomas yells, walking forward.

"You really don't want me too," Janson shook his head.

"Open this damn door!" Katri commanded to him, glaring at him.

"Listen to me!" Janson warned them. "I'm trying to save your lives! The Maze is one thing, but you kids wouldn't last one day out in the Scorch. If the elements don't kill you, the Cranks will. Thomas, you have to believe me. I only want what's best for you."

"Yeah, let me guess." Thomas sneered to him. "W.I.C.K.E.D is good?"

Janson drops his hands, and a smirk plays on his lips. "You're not getting through that door, Thomas."

Suddenly, a beeping sound was heard making all the teens, including Thomas look back seeing Aris and Winston standing on the other side out of breath. Katri was shocked.

"Hey guys," Aris breathless greeted.

"Come on!"

Katri turns to Thomas. "Thomas! Come on!" She shouts to him after getting past the gate. "Let's go!"

Thomas turned back to Janson starting to shoot him, making him cower a little and hide behind the guards who were blocking the shots while Thomas walked backwards. Just then the gun ran out of ammo making him throw it at the ground in front of the men to distract them before turning fully around and head to the doors.

Janson and the guards behind him ran after Thomas. "Shut the main vault door! Shut the main vault door!" Janson ordered.

The door began closing making Katri's heart pound against her chest, worried that Thomas wouldn't make it. Thomas pushed himself to run faster as they all began yelling at him to 'hurry up' just as the doors were about to close, Thomas fell to the ground and slid under the door. Katri grabbing his arm while Newt grabs his other arm helping him up. Thomas glances at Katri who releases a breath and smiles at him quickly.

Aris ran to the control panel and broke it making the doors stay locked. "Thomas, what's going on?"

"Come on!"

"You little shit..." Katri and Thomas both looked at Janson who was frowning at the door and Thomas raises his hand to flick him off quickly and then uses his other hand to grab Katri's and they all began running out.

All the teens continue running, ignoring the alarm blaring in the distance. They stopped when they saw a big door in front of them. Katri grabs the lever and pulls it down making the door open and sand fly everywhere and the teens cover their eyes. Thomas then gently pulls Katri out as they ran through the storm.

"We'll lose them in the storm!" Thomas shouted back at everyone as they quickly look back seeing the guards looking for them.

They tried to look for shelter, but all they could see was sand.
