Old Opinion: "Although I've stated I like Mike and Zoey together, I think Zoey and Duncan would work out better as a couple.  In Total Drama All-Stars, Zoey was one of the last friends Duncan had after he ruined his own life with his disastrous relationships with Courtney and Gwen.  Despite Duncan having a checkered past and being a former Villainous Vulture, Zoey still wanted to be friends with him.  Their friendship felt real and at times I thought they might make a great couple.  Zoey would provide Duncan with the one thing his character needs; redemption from his past mistakes.  She has been shown to be easy to get along with, so it wouldn't shock me if she could help Duncan make peace with Courtney and Gwen.  Duncan did seem to really like Zoey, to the point he warned only her about Mal taking over Mike's brain again.  (It was hinted Mal had taken over Mike's brain once before around the time he was thrown in the same jail as Duncan, due to dialogue provided from both Duncan and Mike.)  Duncan has proven from past examples to only do these kinds of things if he saw someone as a good friend or if he liked that person.  So it is safe to say they could get together.  I'd really be happy if they did."

New Opinion: Past Me: "Oh, just because Zoey and Duncan had a few nice conversations in Total Drama: All-Stars totally means they should hook up."

Current Me: "You do realize that it was a friendship at best, and there is no knowledge currently out as to whether or not Zoey got contact with him after the show, which would be hard considering he is in jail probably?"

Past Me: "Okay..."

Now past that goofy dialogue section and onto the main issue of whether or not Zoey and Duncan would be a good couple. My answer to that was yes a year ago, due to my belief that Duncan needed a good figure in his life. I thought Zoey was the best candidate, due to the fact they were such good friends in All-Stars. However, what I didn't think about were all the rational reasons why it would never work out. One, if Zoey were to get together with Duncan, she'd have to split up with Mike, who would not take it well. Zoey is a major reason why he is able to fight his MPD to levels he has reached and her breaking things off with him could badly reverse all of that. In fact, it might be so bad as to bring Mal back, which wouldn't be good for anyone. Two, there is no proof as to whether or not either of them liked each other romantically on the show. At best, Zoey was just trying to welcome Duncan into The Heroic Hamsters and her kindness to him at best created a nice friendship. Third and finally, shipping them together disagrees with my preferred ships of Duncan and Gwen, and Mike and Zoey. I admit I find the idea kind of cute still to this day, but it just can't work.
