Old Opinion:  "I'm probably guessing most people are not surprised that this ship exists. Owen and Sugar are similar in character with the fact that they tend to sway towards gross tendencies. That one character trait alone has made some people decide to ship these two together, which I think is pretty silly. Owen and Sugar are two completely different characters, and definitely have different ideas of morality. While Owen is possibly one of the nicest contestants ever to compete in a Total Drama (not counting some the things he did as Chris's mole in Total Drama Action) and is from what I've seen easy to get along with, Sugar is the complete opposite. She is vile, self-centered, and lucky if even one person can stand her. If you think for one moment Owen would date Sugar even after that explanation, please re-watch Total Drama Island, where just being around Heather not only offended him, but additionally made him curse out at her in the confessional. May I add the fact that Heather was within earshot of the curse out, and definitely was slightly intimidated by it? Sugar and Owen would definitely not get along, and I bet anything if it happened, it would end in a single episode."

  New Opinion:  Seriously, why are these two shipped together?  The only traits these characters share are their gross tendencies and their kind of low IQs.  That is it.  Other than that both characters have nothing else in common.  Sugar is a vain, self-centered, "beauty queen" who manipulates others for her own goals and tortures those who show even the slightest bit of kindest.  Just look at how she ruined Ella's position in the competition by telling on her for her singing, all because Ella was trying to be her friend.  Owen meanwhile is the complete opposite of Sugar's personality and is well liked by other competitors because he is generally a good person.  The only time Owen did something self-centered was when he eliminated Harold in Total Drama Action because he knew the truth about Owen secretly being Chris's mole.  Even then it was far from anything bad Sugar did, as Owen was only acting like that so he could get his family out of debt from an accidental cheese cellar investment.  There is no way that they would like each other, even if somehow we could use their low IQs or the theory that opposites match as factors.

  In fact, Sugar would probably get the same treatment Heather got in "The Tri-Armed Triathlon".  She'd probably slowly bring Owen to a breaking point and then he would curse her out, because of how mean Sugar is in general.  Clearly my opinion stands that they should get together at all.
