Old Opinion:  "If any if you are wondering why I'm not a huge fan of the ship between Owen and Kitty, it is because I think Izzy would be a better fit. Owen and Izzy have way more in common with each other, unlike with Kitty. The canon couple are both goofballs and can be quite crazy at times. Kitty is energetic, but she definitely not the least bit crazy. She just is a fun loving person, and at times in the Ridonculous Race, Kitty could be quite serious. Besides, Kitty has shown quite clearly that she can be grossed out by Owen at times. One of the most notorious examples was in "I Love Ridonc and Roll" when after she accidentally poured a bucket of Owen's sweat on herself while trying to cool off in a Finnish sauna, she ran out of there screaming. Izzy has not once been grossed out by Owen and has once or twice been shown to have similar tendencies. So you could imagine I was pretty upset when Izzy possibly ended things with Owen for good in "Jamaica Me Sweat" after becoming intelligent from a blow to the head. The reason this even happened was because apparently a lot of people did not like the two characters together, due to Owen being quite unpopular at the time from the way the writers interpreted him in Total Drama Action. (I wasn't mad at Owen being turned into a creator's pet, but a lot of other people were. If you don't believe me, look up creator's pet on TV Tropes and look under the western animation examples.) I hope that Izzy changes her mind in season six of Total Drama, which I speculate is going to be another all-stars themed season with both characters in it. (Ignore the last comment if season six ends up being something completely different.)"

  New Opinion:  I'm so sorry for any of the few Ozzy shipper out there, but I don't really ship the couple anymore.  It isn't because I think Owen would be a better fit with Kitty, Izzy would be a better fit for another character, or just because like a majority of fans, I hate Owen's guts (which I don't).  The simple answer is Izzy's insanity.

  Multiple times in the series, there have been instances which show Izzy to not just be a little wild, but downright dangerously insane.  In the episode "Up The Creek", it is discovered that Izzy blew up a military base and is number eight on the Canadian equivalent of the FBI.  She also barely crashed the Jumbo Jet when she forcefully took control of it from Chef,  shot multiple characters and animals with a tranquilizer, almost got herself and LeShawna killed in the bike racing challenge, and even has a restraining order on her from a former boyfriend seemingly named Gram.  Worst of all, she has in a way abused Owen during their relationship, even if the abuse was a bite on the arm or kicking him in the nuts on multiple occasions.  Realistically, it is best these two stay separated for safety reasons.  Whether you love or hate Owen, you still have to admit he does not deserve this.

  However, I do still cry every time I hear the song "Oh My Izzy" in the episode they broke up and I liked the whole message of love being blind for their relationship.  The latter reason was what made me like the couple a year ago, and even if the relationship wasn't stable, I still am glad the message was given.  The message is a strong one and I hope for both characters that they are able to find happiness somewhere else in the future.
