Old Opinion:  "I love both characters to death, but I never felt really connected with their relationship. There was never a charm to it like with Mike and Zoey, or Noah and Emma. All their relationship results to is another stereotypical jock and dumb popular girl couple. Duncan in "The Not So Great Outdoors: Part 2" stated this idea best. "They (dumb popular girls like Lindsey) always go for the jocks."  "

  New Opinion:  Boy am I mad at myself for saying this couple sucked in the past.  To those who read my old opinion a long time ago and hated it, I truly am sorry.  What is worse about this is I said in my cliché book that Lindsay was not a bad example of the dumb blond idea in media and had other traits that made her a fully fledged character.  Tyler is not a bad example of the stereotypical jock idea either and like Lindsay has other traits to his character besides sports.  So why on Earth did I label them a decent couple at best?

  What works for Lindsay and Tyler is the joke of these types of characters dating.  It isn't supposed to be cliché at all, but instead funny and kind of charming.  Total Drama's greatest strength is creating characters out of other stereotypes and making them more diverse to combat the issue.  This couple proves it.  Lindsay may be in the clouds most of the time, but she still loves Tyler regardless and tries to correct her forgetfulness for him.  Tyler may also be a jock, but he isn't rude and really cares about Lindsay to the point he didn't give up on her in World Tour after she forgot who he was.  This couple is just plain adorable.  They aren't as memorable as Nemma or Gwent, but this couple is still worth supporting for what a great pair they can really be.
