Many thanks to ItzChandelure for suggesting I look at this ship again.  I remember doing this for the second edition of my Total Drama Shipping series and giving it such a surprising opinion.  I really enjoyed looking at that ship then, and I can't wait to re-evaluate my view on them.

  Old Opinion: "Interestingly enough in the original drafts for the first season of Total Drama, back then called Camp TV, Gwen was going to be paired up with Geoff.  Also, her relationship with Trent was completely nonexistent.  In fact in the drafts, it appears Gwen and Trent were supposed to be rivals or just plainly enough hate each other.  Strangely enough, some evidence of the writers originally wanting Gwen and Geoff together exists in quite a few episodes, especially "Trial By Tri-Armed Triathalon".  In the episode just mentioned, Gwen and Geoff seemed to have a unique kind of friendship going on between them.  Despite having completely different outlooks on life, the two of them got along quite well, to the point Gwen showed real signs of sadness when Geoff was eliminated that episode due to his friendly nature being seen as a threat by everyone else.  It was almost as if it were the beginnings of a relationship that could have been, which some people have interpreted it as to the point of shipping these two characters together.

  So what do I think about this ship?  Well, I see a lot like how I see the ship between Firestar and Cinderpelt in the Warriors book series.  If circumstances were different, there is no doubt they would have ended up together.  Both characters had a mutual bond towards each other, which was stronger than any normal friendship.  They knew each other better than anyone else did, to the point it bordered into a relationship.  Sadly, fate separated the two, so this pairing could never be.  That is what I feel towards Firestar and Cinderpelt, as well as Gwen and Geoff.  It was a relationship we all wanted, which never truly came into tuition.  If there was a decision to pair Geoff with Gwen instead of Bridgette right now, I'd probably say yes.  I just see the potential this relationship could create."

  New Opinion:  Boy, did I really compare a lot of the Total Drama characters to Warriors characters a year ago.  I still like Warriors, but not as much as I used to.  If you want to check out the series, I highly recommend it.  However, if you do check it out, I recommend just reading the first two arcs as well as the Super Editions and the magna.  Those are seriously the best parts of the series.

  Anyway, back to Gwen and Geoff.  I year ago, I said I really supported this ship.  I could see strong chemistry between the two of them, which was thanks to   Their character interactions in the episode "Trial By Tri-Armed Triathlon"  and research I did that showed they were a couple in the original drafts of the show.  I loved the idea of two teens of opposite personality types getting together, due to the experiences they could share with each other.  Those were many favorite types of couples, and that was a big reason why I saw it as a mistake they didn't get together.  This was my opinion a year ago, and still my opinion now.

  I really love this ship a lot and I can totally see why fans support it so much.  If it ever were to occur, I bet anything it would be a fan favorite couple and possibly become one of my favorites.  However, for this ship to happen, Geoff would have to split up with Bridgette and Gwen wouldn't be able to possibly get Duncan back.  I love these two couples, but at the same time, I want this couple deep down to happen.  I guess I'll call my shipping of Gwen and Geoff a guilty pleasure.  Also, please tell me if any fan fictions of this ship exist.  I badly want to check those out.
