Old Opinion: "If there is one good thing to come out of Total Drama: All-Stars, it was making Courtney and Scott a couple for a majority of the season.  For once while they were together, Courtney was having a bit of positive character development.  She started to move on from the grudges she has had from events in the past, such as Duncan betraying her and Gwen "being the reason" Duncan betrayed her in the first place.  Courtney was starting to let her ambition for revenge go, all because Scott provided her a temporary needs to move on.  The reason for this I believe is due to Scott's villainous past, which he most likely regretted as seen by his change of character in the fifth season.  He was more of a team player, and had developed a slight sense of humor.  Sure, he still wanted to be villainous, but not in the same way he was the previous season.  Scott's motivation to change may have influenced Courtney to try to let go of the past, which is what caused Courtney's positive character development.  I wish these two had stayed together, so Courtney would've finally had something positive happen in her life.  (Why did "Sunday Muddy Sundae" have to exist to deconstruct this entire romance?)"

  New Opinion:  Still to this day, I love Scottney.  The relationship really provides a great opportunity for character development.  If they were to get together, I believe Courtney would be able to move on from the past and Scott would become a lot less villainous.  "Sunday Muddy Sundae" is by far the worst episode of the entire series, as it reconstructed everything built up for these two and made Courtney out to be an unredeemable jerk.  Courtney isn't an evil character and she only acts the way she does because of her character flaw of holding on too much to the past.  To this day, Courtney is still one of my favorite characters of the series for her strong headedness and I believe she would revert back to her personality back in season one if Scott came into her life.
