"I want to leave."
Those were the first words that came out of Heather's mouth in two weeks.
Alejandro's eyes widened. "You spoke."
"Yeah? So. I want to leave," she had repeated.
"Uh..." he was still in shock from hearing her voice. "You mean...leave the Island?"
"Duh."
And that was how he ended up lying awake that night, contemplating whether they should or not. To be honest, he would be just fine if they left. The money was now the very last thing on his mind, and hadn't been the first ever since he met Heather. Besides, they couldn't do any of the challenges anyways. But part of him felt like he needed to stay. And that was because of José.
José has been causing way too much trouble the past couple months and he needed to get him off this island before he hurt anyone else. Yes, he knew if they went back home, Heather would be safe, but...he wasn't ashamed to admit that he made a few friends here, and he actually, dare he say...cared about some people.
He knew Duncan and Courtney fairly well actually, and even though Duncan may still hate his guts, Alejandro still respected the guy for playing the game well. And as for Courtney...she had been through way too much shit to not be respected. Yes, he admitted, she did deserve some things that came to her, but she didn't deserve to be tied up and thrown into a lake to drown. He'd be genuinely upset if either one of them were hurt again by his brother.
And then there was Owen. I know, hard to believe. Even after all the times Alejandro secretly wanted to kill him, he was overall a nice guy and didn't deserve whatever José would do to him. Also Cody, Noah, Bridgette, LeShawna, heck! None of them deserved to have to put up with José. The only person deserving of that was him. This was their fight.

"Fine," Heather retorted once he told her that he wasn't going to leave. "I'll just leave by myself then."
"Heath," he sighed. "Come on. What about your friends-"
"Friends? Are you cracked? You think I have friends here?" She let out a sarcastic laugh.
"What about Zoey? Isn't she your friend?"
"No," she scoffed, folding her arms. "She's my acquaintance."
"Is that why you spent every waking moment with her?"
"I only did that because she was trying to help me! But now there's nothing to help!" She huffed and turned away.
"So you only used her for advice?" He asked, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Yeah. But obviously, her advice didn't work very well, did it?!"
"Ok," he rolled his eyes. "I see where this is going. You're going to blame everyone for something that no one could control-"
"Yes they could have! If Zoey knew all about pregnancy, she would have been able to tell me the signs before any of this happened!"
"And you think that would've prevented it?"
"Maybe? I don't know, Alejandro! And you were always so worried that I'd do something wrong when you were involving yourself in a stupid fight with Duncan, which caused me more stress!" She yelled.
"Oh, so now you're saying it's my fault?!" He stood up, infuriated. "God, Heather! I tried everything to keep you and our baby safe! I did everything I could!"
"Well you obviously didn't try hard enough!" She stood up to face him.
He slapped his hands to his sides. "What do you suggest I could've done better, then?!"
"You could've taken us off this damn island!"
"It's not like you would've been willing to leave! Hell! You were so focused on the money, you even considered getting 'rid' of our child!!"
"You really think that's the reason?!!" The Asian glared. Well you're a complete asshole if you do!!"
"And you weren't even going to tell me...maybe that would've been better!" The Spaniard retorted.
"Well it doesn't matter anymore!"
"Then maybe you should try and move on!"
Heather's eyes widened and she gasped at his words. "Are you serious? You think I can just 'get over it?!' Do you know what it feels like to be carrying a life inside you and then it's just GONE?!"
"Heather, I know it was hard for you! I can't even begin to imagine the pain you went through! But you weren't the only one hurting! You shut me out like you were blaming me for this! Is it impossible for you to even consider someone besides yourself?!"
"Shut up!!" She screamed.
"No!!" He yelled back. "Stop telling people to shut up when they point out something you did wrong!!"
"I do care about people besides myself, Al!!"
"Well you're really bad at showing it then!!"
"Then why the hell did you start dating me?!!" Heather started towards the door. "You knew exactly what you were getting yourself into! You should know that I truly don't love anyone besides myself!"
"Now that's not true!!" Alejandro walked towards her. "I know you, Heather! I know that for a fact you don't love yourself at all!" He paused. "In fact, you hate yourself!" Tears formed behind her eyes as he continued.
"You hate yourself so much that you place all that self loathing into others around you! You won't admit that you said or did something wrong! You won't admit that you were wrong about anything! You think people should just worship the ground you walk on and expect them to only think about you all the time!"
"You-" Heather choked as she tried to control her breathing. "You are such a liar!!!! You're just mad because I wouldn't give you attention! 'Oh, look at me! I'm Alejandro! I'm so hot and I get super pissed when a girl doesn't pay the slightest bit of attention to me!' Oh, get over yourself!"
"Really?!!" He could feel the anger quickly rising in his chest. "I did nothing but make sure you were comfortable and you were cared for!! Even when you complained, even when you woke up in the middle of the night crying about god knows what!! I tried to comfort you, but you always pushed me away!! Do you have any idea how many times I wanted to cry and couldn't?!"
"Why couldn't you?!! What the hell was holding you back?!! Your dignity?! Cause I don't think that was the most important thing at the time!"
"No!" He growled. "I didn't because I didn't want to make things worse for you! Everything I did, Heather...it was for you! You, you, you, you!!!!"
"Well I never asked you!"
"You never spoke to me at all! How the fuck was I supposed to know what you wanted?!"
"Hmm...I don't know? Maybe when I'd push you away!!" She yelled sarcastically.
"And then sometimes you wanted me there!!" He yelled back.
"Stop talking!! You are so obnoxious!"
"You don't get to tell me when to stop talking! I'm not another one of your stupid slaves!!!!"
"Good!" Heather wiped her tears with the back of her hand. "You'd be a horrible one!"
"After everything I did for you, you're still just any ungrateful, selfish bi-"
"Don't you fucking dare!!!!"
The room went silent.
Heather's breath shook as she slowly exhaled, trying not to burst into more tears. She couldn't believe what her fiancé had almost just called her. It hurt her on such a deep level, she didn't know what else to say. "I hate you," was all that came out. She angrily spun back towards the cabin door and twisted the handle.
His next words stopped her dead in her tracks.
"Then I guess we're done."
Done.
Is he...breaking up with me? Heather's eyes went wide with shock, but her feelings were quickly replaced with anger. "Fine! Then you can have this!!" Without thinking, she slid off her engagement ring and threw it back, not caring which way it went, and slammed the door.
Alejandro's teeth were so clenched that it hurt. And when he saw the diamond ring he had given to her rolling on the floor right in front of him, his anger only increased. "Heather, you are a piece of work!!" He yelled, hoping she heard. "Good luck finding someone who can deal with you!!!!"

"I honestly don't even care about winning the challenges anymore," Gwen stated as her, LeShawna, Bridgette, and Courtney all ate breakfast in the dinning hall.
"We can't give up now," Courtney replied. "I think we have the most points compared to the other teams."
"Yeah," Bridgette started. "But is it really fair when team 1 and team 3 are missing one of their members?"
"It's not like it's our fault though," LeShawna pointed out. "As bad as that sounds, we couldn't help what happened."
"Exactly," The C.I.T. agreed. "We can't let what happened bring us down. Yes, it was a terrible occurrence, but we are an all girls team. No! Not girls, we are women! We're stronger than we think! We can take this next challenge by storm!"
"I...guess?" The goth shrugged.
"You're so right, girl!" LeShwana held up her hand for a high five and all the girls joined.
"Let's do this!"
When breakfast was over, Chris called everyone to the campfire for the next challenge, which was a game of who's most likely to. The teams were now merged, however, one question would be asked to each team. Whoever got the most likely to's didn't win any points, and their -former- teammates got 10.
As for the teams points as a whole, they were now split as equally as possible to each individual, or, however Chris felt like splitting them.
Everybody sat around the campfire and got ready for Chef to ask the questions. He didn't look any happier than the contestants about it when he pulled the first question out of the jar. "This first question is for team 1: Who's most likely to take their clothes off in a public setting?"
A/n- Feel free to pick which contestant too lol
"That one's easy," Duncan commented. "Sierra."
"Um, excuse me?!" The purple haired women gasped. "I am very modest, thank you!" The delinquent snorted and she growled.
"Hey!" Chef yelled. "I forgot to mention, the rest of the contestants will vote on who's most likely to. Raise your hand if you think Sierra would?" 8 people raised their hand. "Since there's only 19 people, Duncan wins."
"Wait, what?!" Said guy stood up. "You guys seriously think I'd take my clothes off in public?"
"Well," LeShawna started. "More likely to than Sierra over here."
"Thank you!" The stalker smiled gratefully.
"Pfft, whatever," He pouted and sat back down.
"Silence!" Chef boomed. "Next question is for team 2: Who's most likely to sleep somewhere else because they've seen a spider on their bed?"
"Courtney," All her teammates answered.
"Hey!" The brunette crossed her arms. "I think it's LeShawna! She's the one afraid of spiders! Remember that phobia factor challenge?"
"Girl, don't you remember our alliance?!"
"Yeah, but now the teams are merged so it's over. Sorry," she shrugged.
"Can you people please shut up so I can get the voting over with?!" Everyone went silent. "Thank you. Anyways, raise your hand for Courtney." 5 people did. The brunette smiled. "Raise your hand for Bridgette." No one did. "Raise your hand for Gwen." No one did. "And LeShawna?" 13 people did. "Looks like LeShawna won...or should I say...her teammates won!"
"Yes!" Courtney jumped up excitedly while Bridgette and Gwen smiled.
"You have got to be kidding me," LeShawna rolled her eyes. "That wasn't fair play at all. Courtney told everyone about my fear."
"I think it's fair play. Nothing personal."
"I think by now you all know which team gets to next question," Chef started. "José, Trent, Zoey...Who's most likely to end up homeless? And before you guys make ANY comments, I'm starting the votes! Who votes for José?" No one raised their hand. "Who votes for Trent?" 10 people. "And who votes for Zoey?" No one.
"Ha!" Duncan laughed.
"Hey!" Trent defended himself.
"Sorry, bro," Geoff said. "But out of everyone, it had to be you."
"Next up...Harold, DJ, Geoff, Tyler: Who's most likely to accidentally get themselves killed?"
A/n- I'm way too lazy to keep writing every part of the game so I'm just gonna out who lost after each question.

"Uh...I don't know," the big guy shrugged.
"Why don't you ask Cody?" Duncan snickered.
"Hey!" The book nerd glared at the punk. "For the one hundredth time, I do not like him!!"
"He totally does," Gwen commented from the side.
"Guys, let's not tease him," Said Bridgette. "I think he already gets enough of that."
"We'll stop teasing whenever he stops being sarcastic."
"Which will be never," Courtney giggled. "I think he and Noah would make a good couple though."
"I could see it too," LeShawna agreed.
Suddenly, they heard a loud slam from one of the cabin doors. "That...did not sound good," commented Gwen.
They all looked and saw Alejandro marching angrily out of the cabin, fists balled, face red. "I think that's the first time I've seen him today," said Bridgette.
"He's probably still upset about..." Courtney's voice trailed off.
"...Yeah," the surfer nodded with a small frown. They watched as the Spaniard walked past them and into the dinning hall.
**
Later that night, Courtney had been sitting outside her cabin to get some fresh air when she saw Alejandro walk by again. And he still looked just as angry. She raised an eyebrow and reached out towards him, but pulled her hand back. Do I want to talk to him? Should I? He seems too angry. But she still felt a tad bit of guilt for what happened between him and Duncan earlier on. And now that the miscarriage happened, it only made things worse for them. No, I shouldn't.
"...Alejandro?" Dammit! She mentally cursed to herself. Now there's not turning back. He paused, glanced at her, then began walking again.
"H-Hey!" She raised her voice. "I'm right here!"
"And?" He replied coldly.
"I'm trying to talk to you!"
He sighed heavily, then turned back towards her. "Why would you wanna talk to me?"
"Well...you looked super upset today, and I was just wondering if you were ok-"
"I'm fine. Thanks for your concern."
"No you're not," The C.I.T. said firmly. "You just lost a baby a couple weeks ago and nobody comforted you, did they?"
Alejandro creased his eyebrows. "Since when was this any of your business?"
"It's my business because I feel responsible for what my boyfriend did to you," she answered. "It was already bad enough that people didn't trust you guys with anything. But whenever Duncan kept accusing you of something you didn't do, it really made me angry. I know you didn't do it. Yeah, you played me back in World Tour, but you're far from a murderer. Now...I don't know who did this, but it was definitely not you."
He blinked at her words, a little overwhelmed with all she just said. "You...think I'm innocent?" She nodded. He felt some relief wash over his chest and he could breathe a little again. Finally, someone who doesn't blame me. "Courtney?" He began.
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for believing me, and...I'm sorry I ever played you. It was all for the game. Nothing personal."
"I'm over it," she shrugged. "Besides, you got what was coming to you in the end."
Alejandro went silent. Then his expression went back to the way it was before...angry...upset...sad?
"Is...there something else bothering you?" Courtney asked. He contemplated telling her at first, but then decided it didn't matter anymore. They were on camera anyways.
"It's Heather," he answered lowly.
The brunette's eyes widened with worry. "Is she doing ok?"
"Beats me."
"You said that like you didn't care."
"Well maybe I don't," He muttered.
"What happened between you two?"
"She's just being difficult as usual. Blaming everything on everybody else for her own damn problems. And I'm sick of it so I said we were through."
"What?! Why?!!"
"I already told you!" He growled in frustration. "She's just a spoiled little brat who whines when she doesn't get her way!"
"What do you mean? You're talking about the miscarriage?"
"Go no!! Of course that wasn't her fault! I'm talking about the way she places her anger on to other people! It's getting pretty annoying. I mean, she acts like she knows everything and you're wrong if you don't agree! She gets that way every single fucking time something bad happens and it only makes things worse!!"
"So you ended it with her??" Courtney said, still in shock. How long have you guys been together?!"
"I don't know, for three years maybe?" He answered. "Why the hell does it matter to you?!"
"Don't give up a relationship you've had for three years! Especially since you two were engaged! Think about it: how much do you love her?"
"I-" he paused, then took a deep breath out. "A-a lot. She means everything to me. She's just...I can't take her anymore. She never wants to feel anything and she denies any emotion she ever has. Do you know how tiring that is?"
"But what about all the good times you had? Think about those. How did you feel about her then?"
"She..." he started, closing his eyes to remember.
*Flashback
"You take that back right now!" Heather yelled while blushing at the same time.
"No!" He smirked. Because I'm an honest man. And when I tell someone that I love them, I mean it."
"Tell that to Bridgette, LeShawna, and Courtney!"
"Did I ever tell them that I loved them? Like, actually said 'I love you?'
She paused, face becoming redder. "...No. But...y-you're...you're just-" he cut her off with a kiss. Heather tried to fight it at first, then slowly melted into it.
"You're such a jerk," she muttered, trying her best to hide her blush.
"I'm a jerk, huh?" He chuckled, stroking her burning cheek with his hand. Heather got goosebumps from his touch and felt herself giggle a bit. She tried to turn away but he guided her chin the other way so that her eyes were facing his. "Heather, I love you." He repeated, this time a little softer.
She took a moment to take his words in as she started into his emerald green orbs. She felt her stomach do cartwheels and her heart flutter with excitement and wonder. Never in her life had she felt this before. "Alejandro..." she started, lifting her hand to cup his face as well. He closed his eyes and sighed in content when he felt her fingers brush tenderly across his skin. "I love you too."
*End of Flashback
Alejandro opened his eyes. "She's..." he choked out as tears began to slide down his cheeks. "She's the most amazing woman I know."
Courtney blinked, quite touched by his words. She almost felt like crying herself. But she wasn't the one who was here for comfort.
"But..." he quickly wiped his tears away. Even now, he still wasn't comfortable crying in front of anybody besides Heather. "I can't go back. It's not worth all the drama. We'll just end up falling apart again."
"That's not true," she shook her head. "You guys could fix it if you really wanted to-"
"No," he interrupted harshly, going back to his former demeanor. "I still love her, but I don't think we belong together. It jut won't work out in the long run."
"Alejandro-"
"I said no! Don't try to get us back together or anything, ok? I get that you're worried, Courtney, but you don't get it." He paused, looking around in thought. "It's getting late. Goodnight." He walked off towards his cabin.
Courtney felt her heart break when she watched him walk away, completely broken. Never before had she felt so much heartache for another person- well, Besides Duncan. Something about seeing someone like Alejandro fall to pieces was very tragic.
"Court," she heard a tired voice from behind her. She turned to see her boyfriend, who looked like he just got out of bed. He let out a long yawn and rubbed his eye before speaking again. "What are you doing up so late?"
"Nothing," she lied. "Just thinking."
"About?"
Courtney sighed. "About the final challenge. I'm just nervous, that's all."
"Why be nervous?" Her boyfriend wrapped an arm around her. "You've got this. I know you do." The brunette blushed at his words.
"Thanks, Duncan, but...what about you? I want you to win too."
"I've already won, Princess, remember?" He winked. Oh yeah. Courtney mentally face palmed. So much for trying to cover up.
"I must I've forgotten then," she faked a laugh.
"Hmm..." the delinquent looked at her suspiciously. "Is there something else going on, babe?"
"No," she quickly shook her head. "That's all."
Duncan pursed his lips, then decided to let it go for the night. "Come on. You need to get some rest." Courtney nodded and let him lead her into the cabin.
But she didn't get much sleep that night. I can't let this happen. This shouldn't be happening. She knew every well that she didn't cause Alejandro and Heather's breakup, but she felt she was responsible for finding a solution for it, like she always has done. That's what she was best at. Finding a solution. And she knew exactly what to do. She just couldn't do it alone.
