Episode 22
"Last time on Total Drama Minecraft Returns, each mob received a different superpower to beat each other up with! The last one standing would get to choose who went home next. Pola finally realized Jamey was manipulating her and tried to stand up to her, but failed. Kain realized his mistakes and tried apologizing to Chloe, but never really got around to it. In the end, it was Chloe versus Jamey, but before Chloe could use her finishing move, Kain came out of nowhere and killed himself and Jamey, giving Chloe the win. After an apology from Kain and a lot of thinking, Chloe decided to eliminate the wolf anyway. What dramatic drama will occur today? Find out right now, on Total Drama Minecraft Returns!" Herobrine said.
***
Remaining Contestants (5): Ech, Pola, Chloe, Colton, Jamey
***
"I just can't believe she chose to eliminate Kain over Jamey," Colton was saying in the guys' cabin. "I mean yeah, he might have lied to her about loving her and hurt her emotionally, but Jamey is a much bigger threat."
Ech, who was the only other guy left on the show, furrowed his brow, but didn't say anything.
"Whatever. Hopefully we can get her this time," Colton muttered.
Ech didn't respond.
***
The girls' cabin was silent. Chloe was staring out the window, thinking about her decision last episode. She knew it was the right thing to do. With him gone, she could focus on winning the show.
Jamey was also thinking about Chloe's decision last episode. She had really thought the ocelot would eliminate her, but she didn't. Jamey almost considered thanking Chloe, but knew that would be a sign of weakness. Jamey showed no weakness.
Pola was silently fuming at Jamey. She couldn't believe that lying son of a birch had manipulated her when Pola had been trying to manipulate her first! Pola had to get back at Jamey, and the only way to do that was to eliminate her.
"Challenge time!" Herobrine announced.
***
The five mobs were teleported in front of Herobrine, who was floating in a clearing. They looked around, but there wasn't anything that indicated the challenge.
"Welcome to the final five," Herobrine said. "You all have been through a lot to get here, and you deserve a break from the horrors of this show."
The mobs cheered.
"Too bad you won't be getting one!" Herobrine laughed. "Today's challenge is definitely the worst one yet: facing your worst fears."
The mobs groaned.
"Why would you tell us we deserve a break and then not give us one?" Pola asked.
Herobrine shrugged. "I thought it would be funny."
The mobs sighed.
"What do you mean, facing our fears?" Jamey asked.
"I'm glad you asked, because I was just about to explain that," Herobrine said. "Using my apparently infinite Herobrine powers that have never really been explained, I will create your worst fear for you. Whoever can stand their fear the longest wins. You will go one at a time, so the other contestants will get to see your fears and laugh at you. Winner gets immunity, and this will be the last time you all vote for someone to go home. Any questions?"
The mobs said nothing.
"Do you ever have questions? Y'all are book characters for Notch's sake smh," Herobrine said.
Ech raised a wing.
"K I'm gonna ignore you like we usually do," Herobrine said, pointing at the bat. "Let's begin!"
~~~
Ech's Confessional
"Figures."
~~~
Chloe's Confessional
"This should be easy. And if it's not, at least it's helping me face my fears."
~~~
Pola's Confessional
"As long as Jamey doesn't win this challenge, I can get her eliminated by telling everyone else to vote for her! But I better make sure I win so she can't."
~~~
Colton's Confessional
"I'm honestly not sure what my biggest fear is. Hopefully it's not something too hard to face. Because I'd like immunity."
~~~
Jamey's Confessional
"Oh, no."
~~~
"To quit your fear test, just say 'uncle', and I will stop your time," Herobrine explained. "First up is Colton!"
"Aw, what? Why do I have to go first?" Colton whined.
"We're going in alphabetical order," Herobrine answered.
"But then Chloe would be first," Colton pointed out.
"Shut up, I never went to school," Herobrine replied. "Colton's fear test begins now!" He snapped his fingers, and the mobs' surroundings changed.
They were standing on a dirt race track. Villagers and Minecraftians riding horses were lining up to race. There was a large audience.
Colton found himself in line with the horses. A very round Villager was strapping a saddle onto him.
"Aw man, I hate racing," Colton muttered.
"Afraid of horse racing? Ha!" Jamey sneered. Colton flushed with embarrassment.
"He's not even a horse," Ech whispered.
The round Villager climbed on top of Colton, causing him to groan in pain. The crowd was cheering, and the Villagers and Minecraftians were yelling at their horses.
"Come on, Shoelace!" yelled one of the Minecraftian guys. "You can do this!"
That's a dumb name for a horse, Colton thought. It sounds like a little girl thought of it.
An announcer's voice boomed. "Ready, set, go!"
The horses galloped down the track. Colton tried to follow them, but clumsily stumbled and crumpled to the ground. The fat Villager smothered him, cursing loudly.
The audience started laughing at Colton, soon joined in by Jamey.
It's not horse racing I'm afraid of, Colton thought bitterly as he squirmed underneath the large Villager. It's public embarrassment!
"Uncle!" the mule yelled.
The scenario immediately disappeared, and Colton was laying on the grass in the clearing, no longer wearing a saddle.
"You lasted forty seven seconds!" Herobrine announced. "Let's see if anyone can do better."
Colton stood and walked over to the other mobs, avoiding eye contact with all of them. Jamey was still snickering at him.
~~~
Colton's Confessional
"Okay, I'm definitely not winning with forty seven seconds. Unless everyone else is a coward."
~~~
"Next up, Pola!" Herobrine said.
"Uh, what happened to alphabetical?" the polar bear asked.
"I changed my mind," Herobrine replied. "Now we're doing 'the contestant Herobrine likes the least goes second.'"
Pola sighed and stepped forward.
Their surroundings changed. They were now in a snowy biome. The five mobs saw an igloo up ahead.
"That's my house," Pola stated. Her eyes widened. "Herobrine, what did you do?!"
She raced towards it. The other mobs followed her in curiosity.
As the other four entered, they saw three figures inside. Two were cowering in the corner as the third was slowly advancing towards them.
The menacing figure was Pola. The two in the corner were also polar bears, and the contestants recognized them as Pola's mother and baby brother from the recording a few episodes ago.
"P-P-P-Pola evil!" The baby polar bear shouted.
Pola turned slightly, and the contestants could see she was holding a knife.
"Uncle!" the polar bear screamed. It was evident she had been internally struggling with herself as Herobrine's magic forced her to play out her worst fear.
Their surroundings disappeared, and they were back in the clearing. Pola fell to the ground, crying. "Why would you do that?" she asked.
Herobrine appeared. "I did say it would be your worst fear."
"You almost made her kill her family!" Colton said, incredulous.
"Oops. Was that a little too PG-13 for you, folks? Sorry, I'll tone it down a little." Herobrine said, not looking at them.
"Are you talking to us or th—"
"Anyway, that was twenty two seconds!" Herobrine interrupted the bat again. "Next up, Chloe!"
~~~
Pola's Confessional
"How could Herobrine do that to me?"
~~~
Chloe stepped forward, taking a deep breath. She knew she could do better than both Pola and Colton, no matter what Herobrine threw at her. She wasn't afraid of anything anymore.
Their surroundings changed. They were on the treetops in a jungle.
Chloe looked around, not seeing anything wrong. She smiled at the familiar feel of the jungle leaves beneath her paws. She closed her eyes and breathed in the smell of the jungle, but instead got a nose full of smoke. She snapped her eyes open and realized the entire jungle was on fire.
"Not again," Chloe whispered as she saw ocelots frantically racing past her, away from the forest fire. She couldn't move.
"We have to run, Chloe!" came a familiar voice from behind. She turned, expecting to see her brother. But instead, she saw a lone wolf.
"Gah!" Chloe suddenly fell through the leaves as the tree burnt down, but instead of hitting the ground, she found herself splashing into salty water. The jungle disappeared, and Chloe realized she was in the middle of the ocean with no one else around.
"It's just a challenge," she muttered to herself as she struggled to keep herself afloat. The waves were becoming more turbulent.
Suddenly, a boat began to approach. Chloe treaded towards it, relieved.
"Chloe! Grab on!" shouted someone aboard.
The ocelot didn't see any other options, so she reached her paw towards the boat.
A wolf reached out and grabbed her paw with his. Chloe screamed and yanked herself back into the water. A huge, tsunami-like wave lifted her into the air, and suddenly the ocean was gone. Now, Chloe was falling from hundreds of blocks in the air. She was skydiving again.
"I'm not afraid of this," the ocelot smiled as she flew through the air. She had loved this challenge.
"Can I talk to you?" a voice said from nearby. Chloe turned and saw the same wolf falling next to her.
The ocelot yelped and activated her parachute, which changed her surroundings again. Now she was sitting in a rocking chair in a house, holding a swaddled baby to her chest.
She looked around, confused. She assumed she lived in the house, and was a mother to the baby in her arms. But who was the father?
"Honey, I'm home!" a voice called out. "How's the baby?" Kain walked into the room.
"UNCLE!" Chloe screamed, and everything immediately disappeared.
"Ha. You really hate wolf boy, huh?" Herobrine asked as he appeared. "Even so, that was three minutes and six seconds. Not bad."
Chloe smiled in relief. She could win the challenge. She immediately pushed Kain out of her mind and prepared to watch the other contestants' fears.
"Next up, Ech!" Herobrine announced.
~~~
Chloe's Confessional
"If that wolf wasn't in any of those fears, I would've stayed in way longer."
~~~
Ech flew forwards, and their surroundings changed.
They were on the top of a very tall mountain. A flag appeared in Ech's wings. He started to fly towards the summit.
When he arrived, he planted the flag. Ech didn't know why he did that; he wasn't controlling himself.
Nothing happened when Ech planted the flag. A few seconds later, a baby sheep came out of nowhere and planted a different flag.
"Wooly wins Total Drama Minecraft Returns!" Herobrine's voice rang out, but it definitely wasn't the real Herobrine. "That was an easy win! I wonder where the other finalist went. I can't even remember his name."
Ech just rolled his eyes. "Really? This is my biggest fear?"
Herobrine appeared in front of Ech, but turned to the baby sheep. "Here is your briefcase with one million emeralds inside."
"Thanks! Where's the...um...other guy?" Wooly asked. "I want to congratulate him and offer him some emeralds."
Herobrine shrugged. "I honestly don't even remember what species he is. Wasn't it like a cow or something?"
"No, Cocoa was eliminated earlier in the season," Wooly said. "I think it was...maybe...uh..."
They went back and forth for several minutes, trying to remember who Ech was. Ech didn't seem to care.
After a few minutes, Jesse appeared. "I was never really friends with you, Ech. I just pretended so I could have another ally."
Ech didn't respond.
"You put all your trust in me, but you shouldn't have. I never liked you," Jesse continued.
Jamey tilted her head, interested.
Ech said nothing.
"Hey, can I show everyone your stuffed bear?" Jesse asked.
"Uncle," Ech said.
The surroundings disappeared, and the real Herobrine teleported to Ech.
"Wow. That was five minutes and thirty seven seconds."
Ech shrugged.
"If Jamey doesn't stay in longer than that, Ech wins immunity!" Herobrine announced. "Let's go, Sans horse!"
Jamey rolled her eyes and stepped forward.
~~~
Ech's Confessional
"I wish winning this challenge would allow me to choose who's eliminated next."
~~~
Their surroundings disappeared. Jamey took a deep breath, knowing exactly what would show up.
They were in a desert. At first, nothing happened. But then, Jamey and the other mobs saw a baby skeleton horse wandering along the sand.
"Hello?" she called to the empty sand. "I can't find my mom...Can someone help me?"
Nobody replied, because there was no one to reply. Jamey was just staring at the little skeleton horse, saying nothing.
Chloe looked back and forth between the two skeletons. She was pretty sure the little one was a younger version of Jamey.
"Hellooo?" the baby called again. She was still walking when suddenly, the sand below her gave way. The skeleton horse screamed as she fell. Jamey winced.
The mobs walked forwards to see the baby skeleton horse had fallen into a sand pit eight blocks down but only a couple blocks across.
"Help! Somebody help me!" she called, but no one answered. Young Jamey tried to climb up, but the sand just kept giving way.
The mobs knew for sure that this was younger Jamey. She kept calling, and eventually started crying. The real Jamey was just staring down at the pit, unmoving.
"Help me! Help me please!" Jamey called, leaping as high as she could into the sand walls. This just caused tons of sand to pour down into the pit, covering Jamey. The baby skeleton horse started to scream, but was drowned out by sand.
Chloe shuddered. Being buried alive was also one of her phobias. She didn't realize she and Jamey shared a fear. They actually had something in common. Chloe winced as young Jamey continued to scream.
Pola started to chuckle. The other mobs looked at her incredulously, but she kept laughing at the sounds of the baby Jamey screaming for help with no one around. After a few seconds, Colton joined in laughing, not because he thought it was funny, but because Jamey had laughed at him, and also because he thought it was a good idea to lower her self esteem. Even Ech joined in with a few chuckles, for the same reason that Colton had joined in.
Chloe looked at the three of them, disbelief plastered on her face. This was Jamey's worst fear—which probably gave her nightmares for a long time—and they were laughing at her? Chloe had a lot of experience with being afraid of things, and she knew that people laughing at your fears was the worst part. Chloe felt bad for Jamey. She wanted to yell at the three to stop laughing.
After a few more seconds, the screaming stopped, but the laughing continued. Jamey didn't look away from the sand pit, even though she could no longer see the bottom.
"Uncle," she whispered.
The desert immediately disappeared, and they were back in the clearing on the island.
The mobs looked at Herobrine apprehensively, wondering if Jamey had beaten Ech. He looked back at them for a few seconds.
Finally, he spoke. "That was two minutes and fifty four seconds. Which means Ech wins immunity!"
Jamey didn't complain for once, but the other mobs cheered.
"There's no way to save yourself this time," Pola sneered at Jamey. "It's finally time for you to go, ya chicken!"
"Glad we finally know why sand is her weakness," Colton chuckled. "It's because she was buried alive as a child!"
"Yeah, how did you ever get out of that?" Pola asked. "Shouldn't it have killed you?"
"I don't have lungs, so I was just trapped down there for days without suffocating," Jamey replied coldly, not looking at them. "My mom eventually found me."
Pola and Colton laughed some more. "Sucks to be you!"
Chloe looked at them in astonishment. Jamey still didn't life her gaze.
"Go vote for someone to go home for the last time," Herobrine announced. "You can vote for anyone but...uh...I forget. Oh yeah, Ech."
Ech rolled his eyes.
"Bye bye, Jamey," Pola and Colton said gleefully. Chloe looked at the skeleton horse.
~~~
Colton's Confessional
"We can finally be rid of her! For good this time! I've waited for this day for so long!"
~~~
Pola's Confessional
"She's finally getting what she deserves for manipulating me!"
~~~
Ech's Confessional
"I didn't even need immunity because everybody forgets about me when it comes to voting. And everything else."
~~~
Jamey's Confessional
"I guess this is the end for me. Taken out by the one thing that still shakes me to the core. Sand."
~~~
Chloe's Confessional
"This challenge wasn't fair. Jamey's biggest fear was a traumatizing experience in her actual lifetime. And now she's gonna be eliminated because people were laughing at her for being scarred! I feel so empathetic towards Jamey right now..."
~~~
The five remaining mobs sat on logs in front of the blazing campfire. Herobrine appeared, a tray of brown mushrooms in hand.
"The five of you have been through a lot. You should be proud of yourselves. But one of you should be less proud of yourself, because you're about to go home," Herobrine said. "If I call your name and toss you a mushroom, you are safe."
"Ech."
"Pola."
"Chloe."
It was down to Colton and Jamey. Colton looked triumphant. Jamey was staring at the ground.
"The last safe mob is..."

—
—
—

—
—
—
"Colton."
The mule jumped for joy and cheered. "Yes! Take that!"
"Jamey, you're going home," Herobrine said. "You've been eliminated once before, and you came back, but now, it's—"
"Wait."
Herobrine, Jamey, Colton, Pola, and Ech looked at the speaker.
"Let me go instead," Chloe said.
"What?!" Colton and Pola shouted.
"Uh, why?" Herobrine asked. "Doesn't everyone, like, hate her?"
Chloe looked Herobrine straight in the face. "I know what it's like to be in Jamey's position. What she had to go through was much more traumatizing than what the rest of us did. It's not fair, and I volunteer to go home instead."
"Chloe, no! You have to win this! You have to prove that you can win!" Colton exclaimed. "Please!"
"I don't need to prove myself to anyone," Chloe replied simply.
"But Kain is on that other island! You don't want to see him!" Pola blurted out.
"I can handle myself," Chloe answered.
Jamey walked over to Chloe. "You don't have to do this," she said quietly.
"I know," Chloe replied. "But I am."
"Are you sure this is what you want?" Herobrine asked.
"No!" Colton, Pola, and Ech shouted.
"Yes," Chloe said.
"Alright...Chloe, you've been eliminated!" Herobrine announced. He snapped his fingers, and he and Chloe disappeared.
***
The ocelot reappeared in the Catapult of Shame. Herobrine teleported next to her.
"I still don't see why you're doing this," the host said. "You were literally so close to eliminating Jamey last episode. And you don't even like her, from what I've seen. Nobody does."
Chloe nodded. "I don't. But I've been in her position, and it's not fair for her to be eliminated because the other contestants were making fun of her traumatizing experiences."
Herobrine shrugged. "Well, you definitely angered all the readers with this decision. Bye."
He pulled the lever, and Chloe was flung into the night.
***
The other four were still at the campfire area. Jamey turned to look at the other three, who were still shocked with disbelief.
She was about to say something when the ground below them began to rumble. A tree fell in the woods nearby, causing them all to jump.
"Did you do that?" Pola asked in a hushed voice.
Jamey looked at her. "Yes. My wrath has yet to be unleashed. I will defeat all of you and win this show."
Colton and Pola looked at each other, despair on their faces.
~~~
Ech's Confessional
"Yeah, there's no way she did that. I felt the island do that last episode, too. Probably not a good sign."
~~~
Jamey's Confessional
"Yeah, I didn't shake the island. No idea why that happened, just thought I'd roll with it. Anyway, I am so grateful that Chloe sacrificed herself for me. Clearly, fate wants me to win this show."
~~~
"It's the final four! What more do I have in store for the mobs? Will Jamey ever be eliminated? Will Ech ever be noticed? And who will move on to the final three? Find out next time, on Total Drama Minecraft Returns!" Herobrine said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oof, rip Chloe. Considered having her win the show, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The answer to my question at the end of last chapter, which was "will I get another chapter up before school starts?", is no. Because it's October. Oops.
I really didn't mean to not update. I've just been so busy with having a life (hard to believe, right?) that I haven't had time.
But here's this. When will next episode be? Find out next episode lmao
Also, who out of the final four do you want to win the show? Comment here!
Thanks for reading, and don't forget to vote, comment, and follow!
