--------

Upon the completion of the title sequence, the camera zoomed in on the boys' side of the Merciless Moose cabin. While most of the boys hoped to get to sleep after a long challenge, one of them was way too excited to fall asleep. It was no surprise to anyone with regards to who that boy was.

"That was a big twist, eh?" Zeyad remarked, excited, "We dodged a bullet there."

"Maybe I didn't give Rhythm enough credit. She's smart enough to realize that Katelyn shouldn't have all the power in this team. I've got to thank her soon."- Zeyad

"I honestly can't believe Rhythm didn't go after us," Aaron commented, "But at least we know that she's a team player."

"She helped get rid of the weak-link, and I consider that a success," Alejandro added.

"Devin, I know that you and Katelyn are tight and all, and that she wants me gone, but just know that I am committed to helping this team," Zeyad assured, hoping to gain his loyalty.

"Don't sweat it man," Devin stated halfheartedly.

"This might be the worse possible situation. We lost the challenge, and Zeyad's still here! If he's gonna be here, I might as well be nice to him. No sense in having him go after me."- Devin

"Well, this is the perfect time to band together and secure our place in this game," Zeyad noted, trying to be a leader, "How about an all guys alliance?"

"Down," Aaron answered quickly.

"Perfect," Alejandro remarked.

"Sure," Devin agreed.

"No way am I getting-"- Aaron

"-in an alliance with that-"- Alejandro

"-self-centred piece of-"- Devin

"-work who thinks that-"- Aaron

"-he can waltz in and take the lead-"- Alejandro

"-like he owns the place!"- Devin

--------

While Zeyad continued to be happy over his safety, the story was different on the other side of the cabin. Knowing that one of her closest allies went against her plan made Katelyn furious. Rhythm knew that she would get a mouthful from Katelyn because of her decision, and she mentally prepared herself for an onslaught of words from her teammate.

"What was that?!" Katelyn asked, upset, "The plan was to get rid of Zeyad!"

"Shhhhh!" Rhythm shushed, "Zeyad might hear you!"

"I don't give a damn if he hears me! He knows I'm after him!" Katelyn declared, "We agreed to throw the challenge to get rid of Zeyad! Why in your little mind would you think to vote out Betty?!!"

"What was she thinking?! That wasn't the plan! She knew what the plan was and she went against it! And after all that I've done to keep her safe in this team! UGGHHH!!!"- Katelyn

"She wasn't going to help us win!" Rhythm claimed, "At least Zeyad makes an effort to compete and pull his weight!"

"Betty was an ally on my side 100%! Zeyad is an enemy 100%!" Katelyn pointed out, trying to get her point across.

"That's it. I'm done playing right-hand woman to her!"- Rhythm

"Maybe to you, but not to me!" Rhythm replied as she stood up and angrily walked towards Katelyn, "Y'know, I've done a lot for you in this competition! I swam in shark-infested waters so you didn't have to! I spent a night in freezing cold rain so you didn't have to! I hung upside down fifteen feet in the air to try and help you get your wish! And not once did you ever thank me for it! You wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for me! I had the chance to get rid of you and I didn't take it! Why? Because I pledged my loyalty to you!"

Katelyn was taken aback. She didn't even try and fight back to gain the upper hand. She simply remained silent; a sign of defeat. Before she came to the island, she promised herself that she wouldn't let anyone take advantage of her because she was short. But all of that went away as the assertive, fed up, 5'5", music-loving fourteen year-old got in her face and set her straight. Katelyn could only watch in shock as Rhythm stormed out of the cabin, wanting to get away from the argument.

"You alright there, Katelyn?" Laila asked.

"Don't worry..." Kiana assured, walking over and hugging her friend, "It's her fault. She made a mistake. You did nothing wrong."

"I don't think Rhythm handled that in a good way. On the other hand, Katelyn was being pretty mean too. I really hope that I don't have to pick a side again!"- Kiana

--------

It takes a strong moral and mental action to fully commit to one side. With the previous argument, Rhythm committed herself against Katelyn. She didn't see much of a problem with it: she was now in the driver's seat of her own game, and was free to make her own decisions. To start, she needed to create an alliance of her own. And she knew the place to start.

"Hey Zeyad," Rhythm called out to Zeyad, who was sitting on the steps of the cabin, "I need to talk to you."

"I heard everything," Zeyad revealed as Rhythm took a seat next to him, "Thanks for saving me."

"You're welcome," Rhythm replied, "Look, I took a risk by doing that, I need to know-"

"Don't worry, we're finally gonna take control of the game," Zeyad interrupted, "I've got the rest of the guys on board, so we can have a majority of five."

"This is the Hail Mary that I've been waiting for! Rhythm finally stood up to Katelyn, and now with her by my side, I can finally take control of the game!"- Zeyad

"Are you sure-" Rhythm began before Zeyad interjected.

"Yes. We need to prioritize," Zeyad noted, trying to take the lead, "We'll need to have a group meeting as soon as possible to discuss our next plan of action. But rest assured, you and I will rule this game 'till the end."

"Yeah..." Rhythm agreed, showing a smile.

"This might not have been such a good idea..."- Rhythm

--------

While Rhythm attempted to rebuild her game after her decision, Daniel began reeling in the benefits from his decision to eliminate Cassie. Right now, he was in the common room of the mini-mansion, where Tory, Matthew, and Alexander were playing pool. With the knowledge that Daniel stayed true to the 'boys squad', this solidified them as a loyal group.

"Good pick, Daniel," Tory noted whilst giving Daniel a fistbump, "You kept us all safe."

"Please, it was all for the team as a whole," Daniel claimed, "We need to keep winning, and it was the right move to make."

"At least we know now that this squad is the real deal," Alexander remarked, "This is what we call 'loyalty'."

"Daniel proved himself today. He showed that when in a position of power, he won't betray those who are aligned with him. Y'know, he could be a good choice for a final two ally. Ever since Fedor was voted out, I've been looking for a loyal ally. And he's strong too, so I won't have to worry about him being targeted for being weak."- Alexander

"Well, as long as we're here, we might as well talk strategy," Matthew rationalized, "If we lose, who do we vote for?"

"Now that Cassie is gone, Ellie is a sitting duck," Tory pointed out, "She should go next."

"I'm pretty sure that Ellie and Cassie were the ones that voted for me. Now that Cassie is gone, Ellie needs to pay for voting for me."- Tory

"Maybe we should throw Callie into this conversation," Alexander proposed, "I honestly think that Callie is weaker than Ellie."

"Maybe, but she's also very friendly with everyone," Daniel pointed out, "Amalia and Veronica would kill us if we voted her out."

"You're just scared that it'll make Amalia not have a crush on you," Alexander commented.

"It's not that," Daniel assured, "She's a vote for us, and strategically, it's not a good idea to vote her out."

"This is why I don't want to be in a showmance: it drags unnecessary attention to me. I don't mind if Amalia has a crush on me as long as it doesn't hurt my game. She seems like a nice girl and because we're in an alliance together, I'll do what I can to keep her safe. For now."- Daniel

"Shhh..." Matthew ordered, causing everyone to shut up, "Hear that?"

The silence was interrupted by the sound of someone walking downstairs. Knowing that it was a girl, they had to change the subject of their conversation in order to not leak their plans. Sadly for them, they didn't know where to start or what topic to begin talking about, leaving them to ramble about something nonsensical.

"I bet you $10 that I can do a backflip off the roof and and land it,"Tory claimed.

"I'd rather you not," Daniel responded, "You're injured enough."

"Yeah, we don't need you shattering your ankles," Veronica added, having walked up to the group, "Hey Daniel, mind coming upstairs with me for a sec?"

"Does Amalia want to talk to me?" Daniel asked as he walked towards the stairwell, "Thanks!"

"Uh..." Veronica muttered as she watched Daniel walk upstairs, "How did he..."

"He's got a good read," Alexander explained.

"Hmm...maybe Amalia did make a good catch." *chuckles*- Veronica

--------

Daniel walked upstairs and wandered about the hallways, doing his best to listen for any indication of where Amalia's room was. During this time, he pondered what he would say to Amalia when/if she asked to pursue a romantic relationship. He eventually settled on taking the neutral route, not committing completely to one way or the other. As he reached Amalia's room, he saw her sitting on her bed; facing away from the doorway and singing the song 'I'm a Believer' by The Monkees. He had heard of the song before, and concluded that she was singing about him. Not wanting to interrupt, he slowly walked in and waited for the right time to reveal himself.

"I thought love was more or less a giving thing..." Amalia sang, oblivious to her surroundings, "The more I gave, the less I got, oh yeah..."

"Oh yeah..." Daniel repeated, causing Amalia to shriek in fear.

"What the f**k?!" Amalia shouted before covering her mouth, "Sorry..."

"Don't worry," Daniel assured, chuckling, "So, Veronica says that you wanted to talk to me."

"Yeah! Uh...I mean...yes, of course," Amalia confirmed, now conscious of her actions, "Well...um..."

"Why am I stuttering?! Ughhh! I can't believe that I'm freezing up right now! This is so not the right time!"- Amalia

"From what I've been able to observe, you have a crush on me," Daniel concluded, to which Amalia nodded, "What do you want to do about it?"

"W-what do you mean?" Amalia asked, confused.

"Where do you want this to go?" Daniel clarified, "Do you want to pursue a relationship?"

"Well...yeah..." Amalia admitted, hoping for the best.

"Look...Amalia, I think that you're a nice girl, but we've only known each other for a week," Daniel reminded, "Before we get into anything serious, I want us to get to know each other better. Isn't that logical?"

"Yeah...I guess so..." Amalia agreed, a bit disheartened.

"Here," Daniel declared as he put his right arm around Amalia, "It takes a lot of bravery to admit something like that. Don't think that I don't care: I really want to see if what we have can blossom into something beautiful...just like you."

"Aww..." Amalia muttered, a smile appearing on her face.

"So...let's take the next few days slowly; we can talk more, learn more about each other, and let the chips fall where they may, okay?"

"Okay..." Amalia agreed as she went to hug Daniel, "Thank you."

"No problem..." Daniel replied, reciprocating the hug.

"I didn't want to promise Amalia anything that I might not be able to keep. I agreed to give it a shot, which I do intend to stay true to, but if I can keep this situation on the 'down-low', I think this will be fine."-Daniel

--------

It was now dawn; the sun had risen from the horizon, the sky was blue, and the birds chirped as they flew through the air. One by one, the eight remaining members of the Merciless Moose exited their cabin and entered the mess hall for breakfast. On the menu for today: Quinoa and Chia Porridge; a healthy delicacy, although not the most visually appealing meal.

"Quinoa and chia..." Devin muttered as he stirred his meal, "Just looks like slop to me."

"Hey, I eat quinoa all the time back home," Laila insisted as she ate a spoonful of her meal, "It's good for you."

"Being an athlete, I need to keep my body in tip-top shape. Quinoa is good for the human body: it's high in protein, has all nine essential amino acids, and is good for blood sugar control."- Laila

"I might be more inclined to believe you if it didn't look so bad," Katelyn commented, "I'm sure it's not actually quinoa."

"It's actually quinoa, but I'm trying something new. If I can make the food look bad enough that it looks like slop, they'll trick themselves into thinking it's terrible. It's a win-win."- Chef Hatchet

"Anyways, we need to figure out what we're gonna do," Katelyn declared, "Rhythm is with Zeyad now, and Betty is gone, so we're down to four."

"Just because Rhythm didn't eliminate Zeyad doesn't mean that she's with him," Kiana noted, "There's a chance that she really wanted to eliminate Betty for being weak."

"Yeah, the same chance that I can make the NBA," Katelyn remarked sarcastically, "Now, four votes isn't a majority. We're gonna need to talk to Alejandro and Aaron."

"Well, that shouldn't be a problem," Kiana commented.

"Yeah, I can talk to Alejandro for sure," Laila interjected.

"Um...I was gonna say that Devin can talk to them, but sure," Kiana agreed.

"Oh yeah...yeah that works!" Laila replied, "Yeah...Devin can do that..."

"I haven't talked to Alejandro since the last breakfast. I kinda want to talk to him again. We're not just here to win ya' know, we're here to make friends too. He's a nice guy, and I think him and I can hit it off. I mean...y'know...as friends. Hehe..."- Laila

--------

While the Merciless Moose continued eating their health-oriented breakfast, the Wild Wolverines celebrated their reclaim of the mini-mansion with a tasty breakfast. On the menu today: Quiche Lorraine and Quiche Florentine with a side of Caesar Salad. With the group showing an exceptional amount of chemistry, they were able to engage in social conversations and be willing to learn more about each other.

Right now, with all eight members around the dining table, they immersed themselves in a game of 'Never Have I Ever': one person says something that they've never done, and whoever has done that must finish half of a glass of juice (provided by the staff). Once someone has consumed five glasses of juice, they are eliminated. The person who goes the longest without consuming five glasses of juice wins.

"Never have I ever...been on a cruise ship," Callie stated, causing Amalia, Veronica, Ellie, Alexander, and Tory to take a sip of their drink.

"I'm down to half a glass left," Tory remarked, looking down at his glass of pomegranate juice.

"Alright then," Matthew commented as he thought for a bit, "Never have I ever jumped off a cliff!"

"No fair!" Tory exclaimed playfully after he finished his glass of juice, "Three of us jumped off a cliff during the first challenge!"

"It's a bit cheap," Veronica interjected as she drank half of her glass of orange juice, "But it is kinda funny."

"That's not cheap, this is cheap," Daniel declared before speaking again, "Never have I ever NOT been to Boney Island."

"Aw c'mon!" the remaining campers shouted as they took a drink of their juice before laughing along.

"Told ya'," Daniel added, laughing with the group.

"I guess I'm up. Um...never have I ever gotten in trouble and was talked to by the cops because of it," Amalia suggested, causing only Veronica to take a drink, "Really?"

"It wasn't bad," Veronica claimed, "I just accidentally took a dress out of a store without paying."

"Of course..." Alexander remarked sarcastically, "Your turn, Veronica."

"Here's a good one," Veronica began before revealing her statement, "Never have I ever had my first kiss. And kisses with your parents and siblings don't count as a 'first kiss'."

"I'm out," Ellie announced, followed by Alexander and Callie.

"You're drinking too," Amalia noted, pointing at Veronica.

"I know," Veronica assured, "I just wanted to get them out."

"Is it one drink per kiss?" Matthew asked jokingly.

"I'd need a bunch of glasses if I were still in, hehe," Tory revealed, laughing.

"Wait, they haven't had their first kiss!" Callie noted, pointing at Daniel and Amalia.

"You haven't had your first kiss?!" Veronica asked, shocked.

"I haven't really found the right guy..." Amalia explained awkwardly.

"What about you?" Alexander asked, pointing at Daniel, "I thought you said that you've had a girlfriend before."

"I've had a girlfriend before, but we never kissed," Daniel explained, "The day will come eventually."

"Hey, what if you two kissed right now?" Veronica suggested, causing everyone except Daniel and Amalia to laugh uncontrollably.

"Um...I don't know..." Amalia admitted, smiling while not making eye contact with Daniel.

"Please say yes! Please say yes! PLEASE say yes!"- Amalia

"She needs a little push. I'm kind of her 'wingwoman', I guess. I don't expect this to work, but if it does, she better thank me,"- Veronica

"Very funny guys," Daniel joked, putting his arm around Amalia, "The only time that you'll see us two kissing is if one of Chris' challenges is to kiss a teammate."

"Don't scoff at that; it could happen!" Callie noted.

"Swallow what you've got, campers!" Chris ordered over the loudspeakers, "It's time for another challenge! Please gather in the main camp area, now!"

"Whoops! Looks like it's too late for a kiss!" Daniel noted, chuckling, "Let's go win another challenge!"

"Hey, we will see people kiss today!" Tory assured, following the rest of the group out of the mini-mansion.

--------

"Maybe yes, maybe no!" Chris commented, having watched the entire scene from a monitor, "After the break, we will give the campers another twist, and immediately after, they will compete in yet another immunity challenge? How will they handle the twist? And who will win immunity? Find out what happens after the break on Total...Drama...Island:... Return to Wawanakwa!"
