Episode 7: Love Hurts- Nighttime/Morning

"Last time on Total Drama Double Trouble..." Chris began through a narration, "Zeyad's elimination allowed the majority alliance on the Multiple Mole-Rats to trust each other, leaving Tory & Cole alone and vulnerable to be taken out."

*Shows shots of Amalia, Rhythm, Callie, & Alina cheering, and of Cole ranting to Tory*

"Meanwhile, Annie continued her pitch to Spencer, Damien, & Karlie to throw the next challenge in order to blindside Veronica & Kavan. Despite pledging her allegiance, Karlie spilled the beans to Veronica & Kavan, plotting to side with them and Daniel to blindside Annie."

*Shows shots of Annie, Spencer, Damien, & Karlie talking, and of Karlie spilling the beans to Veronica & Kavan*

"But in a shocking turn of events, after finding an invincibility statue on Boney Island, Daniel succumbed to the harsh coldness of the water, forcing the crew to bring him to the medical office and leaving him unavailable to compete."

*Shows shots of Daniel unwrapping an invincibility statue, shivering, and being evacuated by helicopter to the medical office*

"During the immunity challenge, combining their efforts and Annie's desire to throw the challenge, the Multiple Mole-Rats fought hard and managed to come away with their fourth challenge win of the season, sending the Observant Owls back to another elimination ceremony."

*Shows shots of Tory, Callie, Amalia, & Cole running around, Annie running aimlessly, Alina & Rhythm solving the puzzle, and the Observant Owls sulking*

"With Daniel not guaranteed to be returning, and despite Karlie promising to vote with them, Veronica & Kavan were worried that they didn't have the votes to keep them safe."

*Shows shots of Daniel lying down on a hospital bed, Karlie talking with Veronica & Kavan, and of Veronica & Kavan looking worried*

"Meanwhile, Cole & Tory pledged their allegiance to Spencer, Damien, & Annie, hoping that the five of them would be present come the merge. In addition, Karlie promised Annie's alliance that she'd join them to split the votes between Veronica & Kavan, although Spencer was a bit suspicious, and considered using his invincibility statue."

*Shows shots of Cole & Tory talking with Spencer, Damien, & Annie, Karlie promising to help split the vote, and Spencer being visibly skeptical*

"On a lighter note, Daniel got visits from Amalia, Rhythm, Callie, Alina, & Karlie, during which Karlie told Daniel about the team's antics, and Daniel found out that Tory didn't vote to save Amalia."

*Shows shots of Daniel, Amalia, Rhythm, Callie, Alina, & Karlie being happy, Karlie informing Daniel of the recent events, and of Daniel finding out that Tory didn't protect Amalia*

"Wanting revenge, Daniel agreed to have Karlie side with Veronica & Kavan, thereby having her vote for Annie, sending her away in a fit of anger, and leaving Spencer & Damien on the bottom of the team, once again."

*Shows shots of Daniel telling Karlie to side with Veronica & Kavan, Karlie voting for Annie, Annie being driven away by the Jet Ski of Losers, and of Spencer & Damien being disappointed*

"Twelve campers are left; who will be voted out next? Find out next time, right here, on Total...Drama...Double Trouble!"

--------

With the completion of the title sequence, the cameras once again focused on the female's side of the losers' cabin, where Veronica, Kavan, and Karlie were rejoicing after a successful elimination ceremony. After all that happened with them losing an ally and losing the challenge, it felt good to still be in the competition.

"We did it, guys!" Veronica remarked in excitement, "We did it!"

"I didn't want to get all excited in front of Spencer & Damien because I didn't want to rub salt in their wounds, but now that we're alone, I am ready to start cheering and jumping around like I just won the lottery."- Veronica

"C'mon guys!" Veronica encouraged, opening her arms, "Group hug!"

"I'm down," Kavan remarked, getting up and leaping into Veronica's arms, "C'mon, Karlie."

"Eh, why not?" Karlie agreed as she got up and joined the hug, "Yay!"

"At the end of the day, it'll be easier to take out Veronica later in the game than it would be to take out Annie. For the rest of the game, people will see Veronica as a threat; if I left Annie in the game, she would've had full control of her alliance and she could've coasted to the end if she wanted to. I made my choice, and hopefully it pays off down the road."- Karlie

"I just want to say thank you for voting with us," Kavan thanked, elated that him and Veronica were still in the competition, "It really means a lot."

"Roni may have doubted Karlie's allegiance, but we can't question it anymore. Karlie pretty much saved both Roni and I, and I hope that this can turn into a really tight alliance."- Kavan

"I did what I thought was best," Karlie assured as they all disengaged from the hug, "And I felt that keeping two loyal people like you two could help me. And I really hope that the three of us can work together going forward."

"Oh, we can absolutely work together," Veronica agreed, "We know that we can trust each other, so I'm down for this."

"Going forward, I really think that Karlie can be a loyal ally. But there's still one thing that's stopping that from happening: Amalia. Because they're friends, as long as Amalia is in the game, Karlie will always be more loyal to her than she will be to me. In order for Karlie to be completely loyal to me, Amalia has to go. It'll probably have to be a post-merge vote, but I've got to find a way to get it done."- Veronica

"Just letting you two know, there's probably gonna be an alliance between Tory, Cole, Spencer, & Damien," Karlie warned.

"We know," Veronica agreed, "But as long as we can get everyone else with us, they won't have a chance."

--------

They weren't the only ones who thought that; Spencer, Damien, & Tory knew that they were on the bottom of their teams, and that if they didn't make a move soon, they'd be voted out fairly quickly. Especially now that they had no leader, they were in a state of utter chaos. Right now, the three of them were standing outside the communal washrooms, wanting to discuss their future plans in private.

"Well guys......what the hell is going on?" Tory asked, "Like seriously, what the f*ck?"

"I really didn't think that Annie was out of line; she made a legit case for why Veronica needed to go. And now she's gone, all because Karlie was too scared to make a move. Annie, if you're watching this right now, don't worry; I'm gonna get revenge."- Tory

"It's clear to me: Karlie is obviously attached to Veronica," Spencer insisted, "They've got to be working together."

"I feel really bad that Annie is gone. If I had known that Annie was going home, I would've given her my invincibility statue to use; I really would've. Well, that's the last time that I hesitate using it; the next time that I feel like I'm in danger, I'm using it."- Spencer

"No sh*t," Tory remarked, "They have to have some sort of deal. Or maybe Amalia & Veronica are planning to align together if they make it to the merge."

"That would make sense," Damien noted, "The two of them together would be nearly unstoppable."

"I saw last season; Amalia had Veronica's back all the way until the latter's elimination. It wouldn't shock me if the two of them got together, pooled their alliances, and made a deep run. They're smart enough to do it."- Damien

"Not to mention; Daniel could still come back," Damien pointed out, "If he comes back, and the three of them align, it's gonna be hell for us around here."

"I agree," Spencer agreed, "Right, Tory?"

"Man....." Tory muttered, not having heard the question.

"Dude?" Spencer called out, causing Tory to regain focus, "What's wrong?"

"It's just.....it makes no sense to me; why would Karlie keep Veronica?" Tory asked, perplexed, "The two of them have almost no social connection."

"What if it wasn't Karlie's choice?" Damien asked, "What if someone just leaned on her until she gave in and saved Veronica?"

"Like who?" Spencer asked, intrigued.

"Well, let's think about it," Damien suggested, "Who did Karlie go to see after our meeting?"

"Daniel," Spencer commented, before getting a shocked look on his face, "Oh my God, it was Daniel! He convinced her!"

"I mean, sure, that's one option," Damien admitted, "But what would Daniel have to gain from getting rid of Annie?"

"F*CK!" Tory screamed as he kicked a wall of the communal washrooms.

"First of all: turn down the cursing a bit," Damien requested, "Second of all: what's wrong now?"

"It's my fault," Tory revealed, "I promised Daniel that if I kept Amalia safe, he'd keep Annie safe."

"And...?" Spencer asked, wanting to know more.

"I voted for Amalia the night that Zeyad left!" Tory explained, "Rhythm probably told Daniel that I voted for Amalia, and he pressured Karlie into getting revenge."

"I can't blame Daniel for doing that; I mean, I did go back on my word. But if that was what truly happened, this changes everything. If Daniel has enough power to control the votes without having to leave his hospital bed, that means that he's way too powerful."- Tory

"If he has that much influence, screw trying to take out Veronica; Daniel is the person that we need to be worrying about." Tory insisted, "We need to get him out ASAP."

"Well, we can't really do anything without any power," Damien insisted, "Hopefully Cole finds something on Boney Island."

--------

Every time someone goes to Boney Island, they carry the torch of hope for their allies back on the main island; Cole was no different. Now that Zeyad and Annie were gone, Cole knew that his alliances would nearly be in shambles, and that it was up to him to find something to give his alliance hope.

"Man.....if only 'Singing in the Rain' could've prepared me for this," Cole muttered to himself as he trod through the forest.

"I don't like getting wet, period; I don't even go swimming. But when there's a million dollar prize at stake, you have to do things that you don't want to do if you want to make it far."- Cole

"An advantage is hidden if you don't want the boot; if you want to find it, you'll have to go back to your roots," Cole repeated.

In comparison to the clues of the past, Cole's clue was pretty simple. Deciding that 'roots' was the key word in the clue, Cole elected to scan the ground as he walked through the forest, hoping to find any sort of root that stuck out. After about thirty minutes of searching, Cole finally began to feel tired.

"Ugh...." Cole groaned as he wiped the rain from his face, "Maybe I should he-----ahhhh!"

As he was distracted by the rain on his face, Cole had neglected to notice the giant root in his path, causing him to trip over it and faceplant in the wet dirt. After getting over the pain of hitting the ground, he wiped his face clear of dirt, looked back, and saw an interesting sight: two long & thick roots extending from the base of the tree. That told Cole everything that he needed to know.

"Well, I've taken care of these nails for sixteen years," Cole remarked to himself as he looked at his nails, "Time to put them to use."

With that statement, Cole shuffled over to the base of the tree where the two roots met and began digging furiously. He could feel the wet dirt get lodged under his fingernails, and as much as he wanted to stop and clean them, he knew that he was inches away from an advantage, and he wasn't ready to give up anytime soon. After almost thirty seconds of constant digging, he came across an object wrapped in a beige parchment.

"Yes!" Cole exclaimed as he ripped the object out of the sand and unwrapped it," Yaaaaaaas! This is it!"

*holds up invincibility statue* "This is pretty much a dream come true. I've been through so much over the past few days; my boyfriend was voted out, I had a bit of a tantrum, and another one of my alliances fell through. But with this, I think life is gonna get a little bit easier."- Cole

--------

In general, it was safe to say that people currently in the game would rather live an easier life if it meant that they could get closer to winning a million dollars. But not everyone thought selfishly; right now, Amalia, Rhythm, Callie, and Alina were making their way through the production camp, each carrying something for Daniel.

"I can't thank you guys enough for this," Amalia insisted whilst carrying a tray of pancakes and home fries, "Daniel's gonna love this."

"I'm sure that Daniel gets lonely being in the medical room by himself, so I wanted to visit him; and I figured that I might as well bring something for him. The 'breakfast of the day' for the winning team is pancakes, so that seemed like a good thing to bring."- Amalia

"Y'know, most girls can just give their boyfriend a kiss and they'll be happy," Alina noted as she carried a jug of chocolate milk and a red plastic cup with her.

"And I'm sure that most hospitals provide meals for their patients," Rhythm added, carrying a pair of fuzzy slippers with her.

"Well, I'm not a normal girl, and Daniel isn't a normal boyfriend," Amalia insisted, "And him and I do this more often than you think. Even if neither of us are sick, sometimes we do it just for the hell of it."

"C'mon guys, Amalia just wants to do something nice for someone she loves," Callie insisted whilst carrying a thick blanket, "We might as well help."

"Thank you, Callie," Amalia thanked as they reached the entrance to the medical office, "Rhythm, mind getting the door?"

"Might as well," Rhythm agreed as she swiftly pushed open the door, allowing the four of them to enter.

"Excuse me?" Amalia asked as she approached a nurse, "Are we able take this to Daniel's room?"

"Oh I'm sorry, but Chris took Daniel out of here an hour ago,"the nurse revealed, shocking Amalia, "He said that it was a decision that 'needed to be made' and that it would be 'better for everyone'."

With that statement, all four campers were left shocked with what they just heard, especially Amalia. And if there was any doubt over whether or not she was shocked, she was so caught up in thinking about what happened to Daniel that she forgot that she was holding a tray of food, causing her to drop it onto the nurse's feet.

"What do you mean that Chris took him out of here?!" Amalia asked, now starting to get upset, "Where did they go?!"

"I don't know..." the nurse insisted, having taken a few steps backwards, "He doesn't tell us this stuff!"

"Was Daniel okay before he left?!" Amalia asked as she took a step towards the nurse.

"He seemed fine to me!" the nurse insisted, now scared, "But this is Chris' show, y'know? He can do what he wants!"

"You have a medical background!" Amalia reminded, taking a step towards the nurse, "You should be able to stop him!"

"Attention campers!" Chris called out through the loudspeakers, "It's time for the immunity challenge! Make your way to the main camp area now!"

"You can ask him yourself," the nurse offered.

"No; I'm not done talking to-" Amalia began before being picked up and carried away by Rhythm & Alina.

"I'm really sorry," Callie apologized to the nurse, "She just wanted to say goodbye before he left."

--------

"Wow, Amalia is really upset," Chris remarked as the cameras switched their views to him, "What happened to Daniel? And what's the next challenge gonna be? Find out after the break, right here, on Total...Drama...Double Trouble!"
