Episode 4: Here's The Real Tea- Immunity Challenge

Upon the completion of the commercial break, the scene of the campers arriving on the beach appeared on screen. The campers arrived to see a large metal container and two large towers, both identical in aesthetics, save for each tower having a different team logo. Aside from that, both towers were roughly fourteen feet tall, composed of a sandbox-esque base, four, nine-foot tall pillars, and a four-foot tall barrel with a diameter equal to the length of the base. Upon further inspection, there were pipes going from the big container into the two barrels and dozens of small holes on the bottom of the barrels. Roughly fifteen feet away from the towers were two wooden tables, each with six protein shake bottles and baskets of corks on them. It was an odd sight to see, and that left the campers intrigued as to what the challenge would be.

"Alright, before we get to the challenge, let's bring Spencer back from Boney Island," Chris declared as Chef Hatchet drove in on a boat, allowing Spencer to jump off and join the other campers on the beach, "How was Boney Island?"

"It was....an experience," Spencer admitted, unsure of what he wanted to say, "I'm just glad to be back with my team and I'm ready to get to the challenge."

"I'm not the best liar; if someone pesters me enough, I might accidentally slip up and reveal that I found an invincibility statue. Hopefully by changing the subject, there'll be no time to think about whether or not I have a statue."- Spencer

"Alright then, it's time for the next challenge: Tea Time," Chris declared, "This challenge is brought to you by this episode's sponsor: Chef Hatchet's Red Passionfruit Tea."

"How's the business, Chef?" Amalia asked, curious.

"Doin' mighty fine, thank you," Chef Hatchet answered in a monotone fashion.

"Goin' into the tea business was the best thing that I could've done. Now I've got these young kids left and right buying liters of tea every single day. And 'Red Passionfruit' is my next best seller; after my 'All Natural Limonesque' tea, this will be a big one for sure."- Chef Hatchet

"In this challenge, tea will be pumped from the big container and into the barrels, which will fall through the holes and into the base. Four campers from each team must take a small cup, stand under the other team's barrel, catch the the tea, and deliver it to the bottles. While this happens, one other camper from each team will take corks and toss them one at a time into their team's barrel, where two other campers will use them to block the holes in the base of the barrel," Chris revealed as the campers began to take mental notes, "The team who fills a greater volume of the protein shake cups in five minutes wins immunity. Any questions?"

"Can we scoop the tea that falls on the ground?" Tory asked, wanting to make the challenge easier.

"Nope; you must take it as it falls," Chris answered, "Oh, and one more thing: because the Observant Owls are up one male camper, that team must bench one male for the challenge. If there are no other questions, you may go and strategize."

"We need to win this challenge; I need to show my team that they need me to win challenges and thus, not be at risk for being voted out."- Daniel

"I hope we win; after all that's happened over the past day and a half, we need something to bring unity to this team."- Kavan

"Well guys, what's our plan?" Cole asked.

"I think that you two should be in the barrel," Daniel suggested, pointing to Zeyad & Cole.

"I 100% agree," Zeyad admitted.

"This is pretty much basketball and relay racing, which Cole and I aren't good at. It's best for us to do what the group wants and be nice."- Zeyad

"I don't think that I can toss corks that high," Callie admitted, pointing to the towers, "Can I catch the tea?"

"That's fine with me," Daniel agreed.

"I don't mind joining her," Alina admitted, "If there are no objections."

"Daniel, do you mind tossing the corks?" Karlie requested, "I know that Amalia & I aren't good at stuff like basketball, so I doubt that we'll do any better at tossing corks."

"I'll do it, sure," Daniel agreed, "Any objections?"

"Nope," replied the remainder of the team in unison.

"Good; let's get to work," Daniel declared as each team member got in position.

Even though he was left out of the majority vote last episode, Daniel was still the leader of the Mole-Rats. His teammates were so eager to listen to him due to his diplomatic approach to decision-making; he didn't immediately shut down anyone's ideas, and took everyone's request into consideration. These qualities helped make the Mole-Rats a cohesive team. As for the Owls, with a slight power struggle occurring between Veronica & Dallas, it made decision-making a bit more difficult.

"Seriously, I think that Tory should rest," Dallas insisted.

"But then I have to go in and toss corks," Spencer noted, "I don't think I can do too well at that."

"C'mon Spencer, you were the hero of the team during the last challenge," Dallas encouraged, wanting him to participate, "You can do this!"

"I get that Spencer is more brains than brawn; that's why I want him to compete. If he competes in a physical challenge, we'll lose, and I can finally take a shot at Tory."- Dallas

"Honestly, we have all the roles planned out already," Veronica noted, "Spencer would sit out, Tory would toss the corks, Kavan & Damien would be in the barrel, and the rest of us will catch the tea. I think we're fine."

"I'll agree with Roni on this one," Kavan added.

"Let's do it," Damien insisted.

"But-" Dallas began before Rhythm began whispering in her ear.

"Let it go; we can't control everything," Rhythm insisted.

"Y'know what? Sure, let's just do it," Dallas declared, allowing everyone to get into their correct positions.

"I don't know why...but I'm getting the feeling that Dallas doesn't like me..."- Spencer

"Dallas isn't good at holding back; when she sets her mind on something, she will stop at nothing to make sure that it happens. One time, I mentioned that I wanted to buy an iPhone XR , but that I couldn't wait in line because I had a test at school that day. And then I come home from school the next day to find Dallas waiting for me with an iPhone XR. I had to pay her back, but still, she's very persistent."- Rhythm

Within a few minutes, both teams were in position and ready to begin the challenge. The challenge itself seemed fairly simple, but neither team was ready to scoff at it. Both teams felt the need to win; the Mole-Rats wanted to recover after a tumultuous elimination ceremony, while the Owls wanted to strengthen the chemistry in their team. Only one would be able to accomplish their goal, and the victor would show itself within the next few minutes.

"Looks like both teams are prepared to the 'tee'," Chris commented, making a joke, "Ready, set, go!"

Upon Chris' signal, both teams began moving frantically, as if they were in a mall on Black Friday. The campers were running at such a fast pace that if two campers collided, there was a chance that one or both of them could end up with an injury. But nothing was going to stop the campers from completing their assigned tasks.

"Alright! Here's number one!" Daniel called out as he tossed the first cork up into the barrel, "Keep it going!"

"I wanted to make sure that they knew when I was throwing the corks so they would be able to catch them and not get hit in the head."- Daniel

"Gahhh!" Callie screamed as she was pelted with tea falling from above.

"You alright, Callie?" Alina asked as she poured her collected tea into a protein shake cup.

"I'll be fine!" Callie replied as she continued collecting tea.

"I didn't think that it was going to hurt, but apparently tea stings when it falls from high up." *shivers*- Callie

"And....there!" Annie remarked before running out from under the tower.

"The most annoying thing about catching the tea was that it kept on hitting the cup and splashing back in my face. Made it hard to see if my cup was full."- Annie

"Tory!" Kavan called out from inside the barrel, "Where's the corks?"

"Here!" Tory replied as he tossed the cork, which ended up flying far past the barrel.

"Look, I'm used to throwing things like beer bottles, cymbals, trash can lids, and the occasional rakes. Corks are really light; I can't help it if I throw it too far."- Tory

"Just sit!" Damien called out to Kavan.

"I'm not a dog!" Kavan reminded.

"Just do it!" Damien demanded.

"We can't just sit here and wait for Tory to get a cork up here; too much tea will fall through. All that Kavan and I can do is sit, step, and palm all the holes that we can to stop the tea from coming through."- Damien

"Focus....focus...." Amalia muttered to herself as she continued to catch tea in her cup.

"Don't get me wrong: I love tea as much as the next person. But I'm not gonna waste time trying to drink it, especially since it'll be laced with the sweat of Zeyad and Cole working hard in the barrel above me."- Amalia

"Jeez....this is gonna take a while," Veronica muttered as she made her way back to her team's tables.

"These cups aren't like your normal drinking cups; they're more like martini glasses for toddlers. Hmm, I bet that's the first time anyone's made that exact reference." *shrugs shoulders*- Veronica

"Let's take a look at the progress so far..." Chris muttered as he took a look at the protein shake cups belonging to each team, "The Observant Owls have almost one cup filled, while the Multiple Mole-Rats have one and one half cups filled!"

"You hear that?" Cole asked to Zeyad, "We're in the lead."

"Just focus on covering the holes, please," Zeyad requested, "You doing okay?"

"I'm fine," Cole assured as he moved himself lower into the tea, "It's actually kinda comforting."

"I've heard that tea baths are really good for you, so hopefully Zeyad and I can plug enough holes to keep the tea level rising; I want to milk this for all that I can get. And yes, I get the irony, or whatever it's called."- Cole

"How much time do we have left?" Dallas asked as she began to pour tea into one of her team's cups.

"About two minutes," Chris answered.

"Then we've got to hurry up!" Rhythm insisted as she started running back to the towers, "Let's go!"

"Right..." Dallas muttered as she finished pouring tea, "Let me just finish pouring!"

"We're far enough behind that I don't need to throw the challenge, but I want to make it a guarantee. I'm ready to start pushing my agenda."- Dallas

"I can just tell by Dallas' movements that she's trying to throw the challenge. I don't want her to do it, but I can't confront her about it, or else everyone will find out and vote her out. It's best for me to just stay quiet."- Rhythm

"Ahh!" Alina exclaimed as tea splashed her in the face, "That's strong!"

"Cup your hands over part of the cup!" Karlie suggested, "That way, the tea can't hit you when it tries to splash back out!"

"Got it!" Alina remarked as she attempted Karlie's suggestion, "Thanks!"

"No problem!" Karlie shouted as she ran back to her team's tables.

"Karlie's been really helpful in the challenges lately. She managed to fill her cup almost completely every single time, and that really helped us build a lead. She's definitely someone that I need to stay close to."- Alina

"As much as I'd like to take the credit for getting my team a lead, I'm sure that the pluggers above me are doing a terrible job."- Karlie

Karlie wasn't entirely wrong; since the beginning of the challenge, Tory wasn't able to properly aim the corks into the barrels. In combination with the corks' light weight, the sunlight shining into his eyes, and frustration, he wasn't giving Kavan & Damien much to work with. And with the corks that Tory did manage to land in the barrel, most of them hit Kavan's head before landing.

"Hey!" Kavan yelled out after being hit with another cork, "Can you give us a warning at least?"

"Sorry!" Tory apologized as he threw another cork into the barrel, which hit Kavan once again.

"Tory wasn't telling us when he was throwing the corks, so we kept on getting hit by them. I felt like I was being hit by a bunch of pool balls."- Kavan

"Thirty seconds left!" Chris called out, hinting to the campers to work quicker.

"You hear that?" Cole asked to Zeyad, "We're almost done."

"Just keep doing what you're doing, babe," Zeyad insisted as he corked another hole, "I've got it under control."

"Cole and I had a plan where he was going to cover as many holes as possible; plug, palm, sit, whatever he had to do to keep them covered. My job was to cork as many holes as possible. I think it worked, and hopefully we've done enough to win."- Zeyad

Although the concept of the challenge eventually got repetitive, it didn't stop the campers from trying harder to complete their task. With less than fifteen seconds left, everyone was making their last dashes back and forth between the towers and their tables, desperate to give their team the edge. And by the time that Chris sounded his airhorn to end the challenge, almost everyone fell to the ground, exhausted from the last five minutes of constant sprinting.

"Let's take a look; the Observant Owls have about one and 3/4 cups filled," Chris noted before walking over to the other team's table, "And the Multiple Mole-Rats have....almost three cups filled! The Multiple Mole-Rats win immunity!"

"Yay..." mumbled many of the members of the Multiple Mole-Rats.

"That's a relief..." Daniel muttered to himself.

"Now that my team has immunity, I need to use this time to rebuild connections. I need my team to know that I'm still a fair guy, and that they won't be hurt by keeping me around."- Daniel

"C'mon, get up," Dallas ordered as she pulled Rhythm up from the ground, "This is our chance to take control."

"Now that we lost, it's finally time to make my big move. All I need to do is convince four others that Tory needs to go. Let's hope it works."- Dallas

"Observant Owls, after winning the last challenge, you're back in the elimination zone for tonight," Chris declared before turning to face the main camera, "How will the Observant Owls deal with losing again? And who will they choose to vote out? Find out when we return, right here, on Total...Drama...Double Trouble!"
