Taehyung's POV-

*RING* *RING*

"Hello Mrs Jeon."

"Hi Taehyung! I have great news."

Oh God, I hope she is about to say what I think she is. Three weeks ago when I got that number that was calling Yoongi and sent it to Seulgi she went to work quickly.

She did happened to have plans that same night with Irene, while they were together she got her hands on Irene's phone.

She was able to search the number to see if Irene had the contact saved, which she did.

It was in her phone as Jung's Laundromat, but it was in her phone. And we were reasoning that Jung was for Jung Hyuk.

Upon confirming the number at least belonged to one of Irene's contacts I passed it to Mrs Jeon and she contacted them.

It did turn out to be Hyuk's number and she has been in contact with him since. I'm hoping after all of their back and forth she finally got the information we need.

"How good?"

"Very good. He showed up Tae. He showed up!"

"Holy shit really?! Well, how was it? What did he say?"

"He admitted to working for Irene, but he wasn't the one that helped her that day. He knows which of her guys it was, but it wasn't him."

Well of course he would say that. I wouldn't want to admit to someone's face that I killed their son.

"And you believe him?"

"I know him very well Taehyung. He was telling the truth."

"Okay, well this is great. He admitted to working for her! Will he go to the police with us? Will he sign a written statement? What's the next step?"

"It's not that simple."

"Okay..? What's the plan then?"

"I honestly don't know. I just..." She lets out a long sigh. "I don't know if there's anything more to do."

What the actual fuck is she talking about? She's got to be kidding!

After everything Koo has been through she says there isn't anything more to do. Really? Really?!

I take a deep breath before asking what exactly she means.

"She's going to get out of this. She's going to find a way to combat all of our advances. I don't know if we have enough resources to beat her."

"I disagree. She tried to kill my best friend, your son, and we are finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. We have a man not only on the inside, but who basically was the inside. I think we have all the resources we need to take her down.

"Your father is a General for God's sake! She may think she has us beat, but even a company as large as hers can't beat the government. And with Hyuk's help I don't see how she can run away from this. Is he willing to give names for the people that helped her? Like the man that carried Koo?"

"You might be right... I'm just worried. He said he will help however possible, but I'm also quite worried about what might happen to him if she finds out he's helping me. Helping Bunny."

"I'm sure he has the skills to hide his helping us from her."

"You're probably right. Well, the second piece of news is that he wants to talk to us. There's not a time or date set yet, but hopefully soon."

Nope I don't like that. I don't trust this guy at all. There are too many questions that are unanswered.

Like why did he wait so long to contact us? Why now? He suddenly had a change of heart and felt bad for Koo nearly three months after he woke up and recovered? No. I don't trust him to not set us up or do something else that's sketchy.

"I don't trust meeting together with him."

"I would be suspicious of it if he wanted to talk in person, but he is fine to have us together and then he will call. It will actually be better for him so he doesn't have to worry about being followed wherever we met."

I guess that's better..? Maybe we will just have to not give too much info to him and we'll be okay. Make sure to not show him all of our cards up front.

"Okay. And who is us?"

"You, Chanyeol and myself."

"Why just the three of us? Yoongi should be there too. He deserves to hear what Hyuk has to say."

"You want Yoongi there? I thought you two had a falling out."

"This isn't about what happened between the two of us, this is about what happened to Koo. What she made happen. Besides, Hyuk was trying so hard to get ahold of him that day. He obviously wants to say something to him."

"Well, if you are okay with him being there that's fine with me. Now then, dear I do have to apologize as I'm sure you're heartbroken that you might not be getting a new girlfriend."

"Oh God, this couldn't have worked out at a better time Mrs Jeon. Chanyeol, Yoongi, even Seulgi, gave her too much credit. She has no shame! She will just openly flirt with me right in front of her best friend who, as far as she knows, is my girlfriend.

"The plan was, if the PDA didn't deter her from trying to get me away from Seulgi, to 'cheat' on Seulgi with her and although with how she has been acting the plan would work, but I just can't do it. At least not the physical part.

"I am nice to her and I'll still flirt with her, which has gotten me closer to her which was the ultimate goal anyway. I thought it would be easy to do, but I just can't stop thinking about what she did to Koo and Yoongi. Oh! Did I tell you about last weekend?!"

"No I don't think so." She laughs. "What happened?"

"She had a Karaoke Night at her place. When it was her turn, guess what her song was... Break Up With Your Girlfriend Cause I'm Bored by Ariana Grande! Then to make matters worse, she was looking at me all seductive like basically the entire song.

"Even the other guests noticed. Seulgi thought it was hilarious, but I sure didn't. So you meeting with Hyuk could not have happened at a better time because she is getting more and more bold as the days go by. Now I can back off and go back to making excuses to not go to her little get togethers."

After talking for a while longer then saying our goodbyes I can't help but feel excited and so relieved. We might finally be getting somewhere with catching Irene. Finally!

After I called and told Chanyeol the good news my next call was going to be Koo, then just as I was about to call him I had to stop myself.

Every time I have good news or want someone to be happy with I call either Koo or Chim usually. Since I can't call Koo I have only been calling Chim.

I look at the time and I know it's getting later in the evening but I would venture to guess that he is still with Koo.

I want to talk to Koo, but I just don't think I'm quite ready. I was just so hurt by what he and Yoongi said. How little they thought of me. They both just completely disregarded everything that has happened for the past months.

I have done so much and it was like none of it mattered to them. Like they didn't care about what I have gone through at all. What I did to help them get back together.

They were just worried about, not if but when in their minds, I was going to make my move and steal one of them from the other. It was so degrading.

I lean forward on my couch as I run my hand over my face before looking up at the ceiling. My eyes are beginning to tear up and I really don't want to cry. Not anymore.

I have spent the last three weeks crying.
