Meet Buggy
▸San Francisco - 5 Seconds of Summer
"Nevah! Throw it already!" Tyson called out, waving us arms around. Dad, otherwise known as Poseidon, was marking him as Percy tried to take the Frisbee out of my hands. I giggled and ducked under my older brother's reach, making a run for an open area to throw the Frisbee to Tyson. The four of us were on a beach all to ourselves with the sun shining brightly against the water making it sparkle.
"In your dreams Seaweed Brain!" I cackled out, throwing the Frisbee a few feet away from Tyson. Tyson beamed as he ran towards the flying disc. He reached out and caught it before Dad was able to get to it. I jumped in glee. "Woohoo! Great catch Ty!"
"Nice throw Nev!" Tyson smiled back at me. "We won this round guys."
"Nah." Percy denied, flicking his wrist. He shared a look with our father.
"What do you mean? I caught the Frisbee. Nevah and I won." Tyson said, clearly confused. The four of us met up in the middle to talk it over.
"You guys didn't win." Percy smirked, giving our dad a slight nod. My eyes widened in realization.
"Tyson, run!" I managed to get out before Percy and Dad sprinted. Percy went after a giggling Tyson while Dad chased after me. A wide smile spread across my lips as I ran away from Poseidon. "You're never going to catch me old man!"
"I may be old, but that just puts more experience under my belt." Dad responded back. I made a dash for the water, my bare feet touching the damp sand. A shriek escaped my mouth as arms circled around my waist. "And you're just slow compared to me."
"I am not slow!" I pouted, squirming out of the Greek god's arm. "You're just a god so it's in your blood."
"It's also in yours." Percy butted in as he and Tyson walked towards us. He ruffled Tyson's hair bumping his shoulder against mine. "Well...all three of us actually. And the other demigods."
"Oh shut up." I rolled my eyes, holding back a grin. I sat down, my feet burying into the sand where the water crashed onto the shoreline. I leaned back, my arms holding me up as I watched the sun starting to set. A small smile graced my lips as I sighed in content. "I wish we had more days like this. Where we don't have to fight monsters, fight for our lives, or have to deal with Zeus' stupid rules."
Thunder boomed. I rolled my eyes at the Greek god's temper.
"That would be awesome." Percy agreed, sitting next to me. Dad and Tyson joined us.
"I would be able to spend more time with you guys too." Tyson nodded. "And we can make a ton of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too!"
"If only." Dad muttered, staring at the horizon. "You need more days like these, even if they are dreams."
"Oh...right...this is a dream."
Someone shook my awake, tearing me away from the perfect reality. Yawning, I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and looked up to see Wanda. She smiled softly at me.
"Hey, we just landed near Scott Lang's apartment. It's time to get off." Wanda informed me.
"Oh thank the gods!" I jumped out of my seat and ran towards the hanger. Clint turned around to look at me with a raised brow.
"I see you're looking better."
"I will be even better if I get off of this damned flying contraption." I told him as I basically ran off of the quin jet. Wanda and Clint laughed at me as I dramatically sighed. "Oh how I will never complain about Percy's and Malia's driving ever again."
"Okay, Drama Queen, let's go get this ant guy." Clint chuckled. He made sure the jet was closed and invisible before the three of us made our way out into the San Francisco streets. Nostalgia and heartache creeped up on me as I saw Alcatraz out in the distance. For one, the events that happened in the old prison. Two, because it reminded me that I was back in California where Stiles was from. And three, the fight I had with Stiles. Shaking my head to push the chest pain and thoughts away, I shoved my hands into my pockets. "Okay, the apartment complex should be on the next block."
"Great, what is the plan?" Wanda asked, looking at the buildings in awe.
"You can leave that to me." I slyly grinned.
"Should I be worried?" Wanda questioned, eyeing me cautiously.
"Not really, no."
"Yeah...that worries me." Wanda sighed. I grinned and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"You and I are going to make a great team."
"Don't corrupt her." Clint rolled his eyes as we walked across the street to the apartment complex.
"I would never!" I gasped, placing my hand over my heart. Wanda giggled next to me, the first time I've ever seen her smile. "Besides, I am not a bad influence, Barton."
"Sure."
"I'm not!" I stated as we entered the building. We immediately walked to the elevator. "I am a wonderful citizen who-wait what floor was he on again?"
"Fifth." Wanda answered, amusement written on her face as she hit the elevator button. The elevator dinged before the doors opened and we entered.
"Right, thank you." I nodded, hitting the button with the number five. The doors closed and the elevator started to rise. "Like I was saying-"
The dinging of the elevator cut me off again as we walked out onto the fifth floor.
"You can finish trying to convince me later. It's five oh two." Clint told me.
I nodded and walked down the hall to look for Lang's apartment number. Finding it, I check both sides of the hallway and discreetly eyed the cameras. Digging into my pockets, I angled my body to hide what I'm about to do from cameras. I fished out two bobby pins and bent them straight, taking off the plastic nub on the ends. Inserting both into the keyhole, I wiggled the bobby pins around before I heard the familiar click a few seconds later.
"Not a bad influence my ass." Clint muttered under his breath. I gave him a smirk and a wink before removing the bobby pins and opening the door. The three of us walked inside, closing the door behind us.
"A part of me wants to ask how you know how to break into an apartment, but the other part of me knows that it's probably safer not to." Wanda stared at me wide eyed.
"Smart choice." I said, collapsing onto the couch. I scanned the apartment. "It's not a bad place."
"What are you doing in my apartment?" A man walked out of a room, glaring us down.
"I'm taking it that you're Scott Lang?" I asked, throwing my feet up onto the couch.
"Who's asking?"
"Hawkeye." Clint crossed his arms. The man's eyes widened.
"Look, I already told the other bird guy that I really needed-"
"Yeah, great audition, let's go." Clint waved his hand, already heading out the apartment.
"Let's go? Where?" Scott perked an eyebrow.
"Captain needs your help, so let's go help the old man out." I pushed myself off of the couch.
"Captain, as in Captain America? He-he needs my help?" Scott's eyes looked almost comical. "With what?"
"Yes, the one and only. To cut it short since we're running out of time, it involves a psycho, an ex-assassin, the avengers, and the government. Now, come on Buggy, the Bird and the Witch have already left." I patted his shoulder.
"And who are you?" Scott asked.
"I'm a close friend of Captain." I smiled and started to follow Wanda and Clint.
"Okie dokie...let's go help Captain America." Scott grinned, a small squeal coming from him. I stopped in my tracks and turned to look at him with a perked brow. "Sorry, I'm a big fan of his."
"I think we all are, Lang."
A few moments later and we were standing in front of the jet.
"Oh how I hate this thing." I groaned out, eyeing the jet warily.
"C'mon Drama Queen, time to help Cap out." Clint opened the hanger and walked in. "Time to meet him in Germany."
"Wanda," I immediately looked at my new friend. "Help a girl out?"
"I'll wake you up once we land." Wanda nodded.
"Oh thank the gods you're awesome." I shakenly breathed out. Scott Lang stood beside me in shock.
"We're going in that thing?" He pointed at the jet.
"Sadly." I winced out. "Now, last I heard, you used to fly with ants. Think you can handle flying on a jet better than me?"
"I think everyone can handle flying besides you!" Clint called out from inside.
"You know what, Clint, shut up!" I grumbled, crossing my arms and slowly stomping my way inside the death trap. "There are other people who are afraid to fly too! I can list them all if you want me to."
"I'm good-"
"There's my brother, Thalia, there's this another person back at camp named Amna, there is also- hey what are you doing?" I stopped talking as I saw Clint reach for his hearing aid on his left ear. He gave me an innocent smile and turned the dial on me. I gasped as he simply walked away from me. "That is rude! That is very rude!"

"Did you have to get this creepy white van?" I grumbled next to a passed out Scott Lang. The four of us were now in Germany and were heading towards the airport that Captain told us to meet him at.
"One, it's not creepy. And two, yes I did. The traffic cameras can't look through the tinted windows." Clint rolled his eyes as he drove up a ramp in the airport. A nice cool breeze entered the car from Wanda's open window.
"There is literally only five windows. The others are whited out." I pointed out. Wanda bit her lip, trying her best not to laugh at our bantering. "Besides, they can still see us with Wanda's rolled down window."
"Okay, Drama Queen, you can cut it out. We're here." Clint pulled up into a parked space and parked the van. He turned off the ignition. "And it looks like we beat them."
"Well, Steve is a slow driver. It comes with his age." I chuckled. Clint rolled his eyes and smiled. On the other side of the abandoned parking garage an old blue Volkswagen sped through.
"Looks like he's here. So much for him driving slow. Now C'mon." Clint existed the van, Wanda following. I grabbed the door handle and tried to open the car door. "Cap."
"You know I wouldn't have called if I had any other choice." I heard a very familiar voice. I pulled on the handle again. Maybe it was jammed.
"Hey, man, you're doing me a favor. Besides, I owe a debt." Clint replied.
"Thanks for having my back." Chris/Steve said.
"It was time to get off my ass." Wanda added.
"Where's Nevah? How about our other recruit?"
I yanked on the door handle and it still didn't open. I groaned out, looking over my shoulder to see Scott still asleep.
"Clint! Did you child lock this freaking door!?" I exclaimed, banging on the windowless door. I heard chuckles from the other side of the door before it was open. I jumped out, narrowing my eyes at Barton. "You so did that on purpose."
"Maybe." Clint shrugged with a sly grin.
"Nevah." Cap beamed at me. A smile broke through my face before I ran towards him. I wrapped him arms around Captain. He embraced me back, giving me a squeeze. "You've grown kid."
"Not by much." I mumbled.
"Well if it isn't Clutz." Someone spoke behind Captain. Letting go of Steve, I looked behind him to see the ex-assassin leaning against the blue Volkswagen.
"I am not clumsy, those wires tripped me." I grumbled. A smile broke through Bucky. "Besides, I was trying to help you."
"You disappeared before you can do anything." Bucky perked an eyebrow as he crossed his arms.
"Not my fault someone woke me up." I looked at the other man standing next to Steve. This must be Falcon. I extended my hand out to greet him. "Nevah Vis, nice to meet you."
"Sam Wilson." Same shook my hand. "So you're the famous kid Cap here always brags about."
"I'm not a kid."
"I don't brag."
"Sure." Sam chuckled out.
"What's up with our other recruit?" Captain asked Clint, looking at a passed out Scott.
"Well, he's rarin' to go. Had to put a little coffee in him," Clint slammed his hand on the door waking Scott up. "But he should be good."
Steve and Sam exchanged looks as Scott got up.
"What time zone is this?" Scott Lang asked Clint, not taking in his surroundings.
"Come on." Clint ushered him out. Scott jumped out and froze in shock as he stared at Steve. I held back a laugh. Scott might fangirl. Clint shoved him forward to close the can door fully. "Come on."
"Captain America!" Scott shook Steve's hand.
"Mr. Lang." Cap greeted.
"It's an honor." Scott continued to shake Steve's arm. I had to bite my lip to keep myself from laughing.
"I'm shaking your hand too long. Wow! This is awesome! Captain America." Scott finally let go of Cap's hand and looked over his shoulder. He pointed to Wanda. "I know you, too. You're great!"
Wanda smiled at him. Scott turned around to face Captain again. He shook his head in amazement as he squeezed Steve's biceps.
"Jeez. Ah, look, I wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people, so...thanks for thinking of me." Scott looked at Sam and gave him a finger gun. "Hey, man!"
"What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam responded back.
"Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time when I-"
"It was a great audition, but it'll never happen again." Sam chuckled out.
"They tell you what we're up against?" Steve asked Scott.
"Something about some psycho-assassins?" Scott stated.
"We're outside the law on this one. So if you come with us, you're a wanted man." Steve warned. "You too, Nevah. I know you've been trying to stay away from the government for a long while now."
"Yeah, well, what else is new?" Scott replied.
"I already have a record. What can helping out a friend and an innocent man do to ruin that?"
"We should get moving." Bucky informed us.
"We got a chopper lined up." Clint said.
"Which I am not going in." I quickly spit out. "I'll take my chances with a boat."
A voice spoke through the PA speakers in German. We all looked at one another.
"They're evacuating the airport." Bucking translated.
"Stark." Steve looked at Sam.
"Stark?" Scott repeated.
"Suit up."
"Uh, but I don't have a suit." I sheepishly smiled.
"I've got you covered." Wanda waved me over.
Let the action begin ;)
much love,
Lux
