The End
OHMYGOD ITS THE LAST CHAPTER.
*
Park Jimin.
Park Jimin who turned out to be Suran's strawberry shortcake aka dance partner, had turned up at their house when Suran had called him under the ruse of dance practice. He had arrived oblivious and when he had seen Hoseok his steps had faltered.
Of course, Jimin didn't recognize Hoseok at first like last time because they both had changed and grown quite a lot.
It was when Jimin was halfway through the hall that Hoseok had called out a gently 'Jimminie' that had Jimin's step faltering.
"Jiminie." Hoseok called again as Jimin's face went from confused to realization and recognition to delightment and then finally; guilt.
"Hyun-" Jimin started taking a step towards the elder but stopped himself when he got cut off.
"Its okay." Hoseok said, the words his beloved had first offered to him when they had first met, now hanging in the air as a bridge of compromise.
And then Jimin was moving. Movements fluid and fast, not like the clumsy Jimin he remembered. All thoughts flew out of Hoseok as the younger pulled him into a tight embrace, just genuine warmth and happiness filling him at the show of affection.
"Hyung I'm sorry." Jimin mumbled into Hoseok's shirt but the elder just laughed it off soothing the younger's hair.
"You are still the same." Hoseok breathed into the younger's hair as Jimin giggled.
Jimin's soft brown eyes looked into Hoseok's. "But you've changed." Jimin admitted. "For the better."
Hoseok chuckled ruffling the younger's hair as they pulled apart.
"You have to talk me all about all of the things that happened after you left for seoul hyung." Jimin insisted, Hoseok was about to oblige but the younger suddenly stopped the elder with a small hand.
"Before all that I want to see you dance hyung." Jimin smiled that eye smile that melted him everytime in their childhood and Hoseok couldn't even think of refusing.
Maybe that's how hours later Hoseok ended up setting up the audio system, while Jimin sat in the corner of the room, excitedly took out his phone and readied the camera ready to record albeit after they'd shared their stories.
Hoseok chose a song that Suran and he had been working on. It was pretty simple and easy to do. It was certainly worth it when Suran had agreed to dance with him when Lisa had begged Suran to show her, her moves.
But before they could start, the doorbell rang and Lisa rushed to answer it.
Even before it opened, Hoseok knew it was Yoongi. He was already meeting the elder with a smile as the later crossed the threshold greeting Lisa.
"Baby." Hoseok murmured softly, briefly wrapping the elder in a hug before pulling back and twining his arms and pulling him further into the room.
"Park jimin?" Yoongi breathed as soon as his eyes fell upon the red headed younger.
Jimin's eyebrows flew up in surprise along with the twins.
"You know me?" Jimin asked before shaking his head. "Wait..you were with Na Hyun... and an other man." Almost immideatly everybody except Hoseok and Yoongi stiffened.
"The other man was me, Jimin." Hoseok chuckled and the tense air dissapitated as suddenly it had come as jimin let out an 'oh'.
"He's my boyfriend." Hoseok said pulling the said person by his waist.
Yoongi rolled his eyes but didn't fight it. Jimin got up and bowed properly in greeting to the elder.
"Yoongi hyung." Jimin smiled."Nice to meet you."
"Likewise." Yoongi nodded befoe turning around to talk to the twins.
"He's a man of few words." Hoseok said fondly as he looked at Yoongi's broad back. "But he's sweet once you get to know him."
Jimin hummed, just simply happy for his hyung before he remembered something.
"Hyung! The dance." Jimin almost whined and it was loud enough to bring the entire room's attention to him making Jimin flush an adorable red almost immediately.
"Aigoo. Strawberry shortcake." Suran cooed walking over to Jimin just to pinch his cheeks. Sure enough, Jimin was an inch shorter than Suran and Hoseok had bite down on his laugh at how fitting Suran's nickname was for the younger.
"Whatever." Jimin huffed pouting and before Suran could resume her unusual cooing, Hoseok cut in reminding her.
"Lets just get this dance over with."
"Yes! Yes!" Lisa clapped excitedly like a seal before rushing off to sit in the corner and everybody else followed suit.
Troye Sivan's Youth started playing and Hoseok silently nodded supportingly to Suran through they faced, before the routine started and Suran nodded back.
Fortunately they breezed through the routine without any mistakes. The small eye contacts between Hoseok and Suran, helped each other dance harder, throwing all their passion into it.
At first, Hoseok could feel all of the other's eyes on him, especially Yoongi's. But as the routine progressed, Hoseok found himself lost in the movements of his limbs, in perfecting his flow of emotions, the next move and his control of muscles.
Hoseok and Suran danced together, in synchronization, as if strung together by the same string. Almost too soo, his hand was making its way to Suran's fist before curling around it; the ending of the dance.
A breath of silence followed as they broke apart, one smiling in relief for not messing up, and the other merely because he was dancing. Suran raised an eyebrow as absolutely stunned silence flowed from the gaping mouths of the viewers.
"I know I wasn't that goo-" Suran started but was immediately contradicted by a sudden chorus of 'no!" which had the girl startling and giggling.
"Yah! Why didn't you say that you were this good?" Lisa was the first one to yell, and was followed by a by similar yelling from Jimin while Yoongi just sat and watched Hoseok and Suran laughing, with unbridled prides.
He slowly got up from his position, approaching the duo who were now swarmed by Lisa and Jimin. He pulled Hoseok's back against his chest and gently pressed a soft kiss to his cheek in pride, causing the younger to blush slightly.
"You were amazing baby." Yoongi mumbled into Hoseok's ear, smiling his gummy smile.
They were suddenly brought out of their little bubble by the sudden silence in the room. Hoseok quickly squirmed out of Yoongi's embrace as he noticed the amused smiles of the others.
"Cute." Suran commented winking at Hoseok and he shot her a glare. Hoseok's gaze then fell on Jimin's face who was nodding and smiling widely, eyes disappearing into slits and Hoseok coughed into his fists in embarrassment.
"We'll have to go now Hoseok-ah." Yoongi broke the silence and Hoseok nodded.
"Where?" Lisa inquired, scrunching her eyebrows.
"To the company. To officially sign Hoseok with us."
*
"So you're the one who danced with the girl in that dance battle?" The Ceo asked once Yoongi had introduced Hoseok.
"What about the girl?" The elder asked and both of them shared a look.
"She's relative of mine and has no interest in becoming an idol." Hoseok stated firmly and to his surprise the Ceo didn't push it further.
Hoseok nodded nervously.
"I want to confirm your skills for myself. Would you mind free styling to a song I put on right now?" the aged man suddenly asked, gesturing to the free space in his office and Hoseok nodded.
Soft pop music filled the office and Hoseok allowed the music to flow through him, every pop and lock in his muscles, fluid and sharp as he walked down the winding path of the music, guessing its turns, falls and highs.
Almost too soon the song was cut short and a bunch of thick papers was presented to him.
"Are you willing to commit yourself as an artist and give your all this your work?" The man asked and Hoseok was fazed by the suddenness of it all as he helplessly glanced at the beaming Yoongi.
"Sunbaenim." Yoongi chuckled as he lazily walked towards Hoseok, hands in his pockets, subtly coming to his rescue. "You're scaring him."
The Ceo smiled, his posturing softening slightly and Hoseok's hand like usual, made its way to its' counterpart's; Yoongi's. Hoseok's nervousness calmed a bit as Yoongi's long fingers twined with his.
"I am willing." Hoseok stated firmly in reply to the ceo's question from before, straightening.
"Good. Then please sign these papers after reading them through." The ceo nodded at Hoseok and he immideatly set to work, Yoongi right behind him.
As Hoseok worked, Yoongi's hand was an ever present support on the younger's back. They spoke in hushed voices as the elder pointed out important points and they discussed their way through it. They were so lost in their work, the failed to see the Ceo's narrowed eyes on their forms.
The elder man had been observing their unusual closeness so he wasn't exactly surprised when they finished up and came upto him with a request a few minutes later.
"I'll join the company." Hoseok started and the Ceo narrowed his eyes, gaze flickering between them but allowed them to go on nevertheless.
"I'll become an idol under three conditions."
*
Yoongi and Hoseok had stumbled into Yoongi's apartment, tired after their hectic day with meeting all the other trainees and introducing but nonetheless happy.
"Water?" Yoongi called form the living room and Hoseok yelled an affirmative from Yoongi's bedroom.
Hoseok took in Yoongi's bedroom again, as Yoongi brought water from the kitchen. The room was filled with sunlight, its walls were mildly dark and the furniture simply. The contents on the other hand were strewn about everywhere, papers littered the floor, open pens and empty ramen bottles decorated the tabletops as frequent as stars in the sky. Even with all the trash, the room managed to look homey and even smell nice.
The room was filled with Yoongi's scent, especially the blankets on the bed which Hoseok spent no time wasting laying against, sighing contentedly.
"Hope-ah." Yoongi called as he came into the bedroom, nose briefly scrunching at the sudden untidiness of the room that he hadn't noticed before.
"Sorry for the mess." Yoongi muttered handing Hoseok the water, settling himself beside the younger on the bed.
"You should be." Hoseok laughed brightly as Yoongi scoffed.
"I forget sometimes ok?" Yoongi pouted and Hoseok booped the elder's nose, cooing over the cuteness.
"Do you think that the Ceo will accept our conditions?" Hoseok suddenly asked the elder as they both lazily lay down on the bed.
"He will." Yoongi breathed into Hoseok's neck as he nuzzled into the latter.
"What makes you so sure?" Hoseok asked confused at the utter conviction in the latter's voice.
"Trust me baby, nobody would deny you the permission of murdering somebody after they have seen you dance." Yoongi joked and Hoseok slapped Yoongi's leg lightly.
"You tired?" Hoseok asked softly, watching Yoongi as he slept, basked in the late dregs of the afternoon sunlight.
"Kind of. But not really." Yoongi admitted grinning.
"Tired enough to stop me from doing this?" Hoseok asked leaning over Yoongi and kissing him on every spot on his face making the elder giggle.
"Or this?" Hoseok continued, soft kissing turning to outright tongue kisses on the later's neck, relishing in the way the elder curled his fingers into his hair. He liked the way Yoongi moaned when Hoseok sucked on a particularly soft spot.
"P-Please continue." Yoongi choked out and Hoseok deep warm chuckle that reverberated through his chest, made yoongi's toes curl.
"Of course baby."
It was when the sun was long gone and the moon had appeared on her throne like timeless companion that Yoongi and Hoseok fell next to each other, panting, breathless and utterly satiated. And then they fell asleep, on a bed, for the first time in their lives since those incidents that had scarred them.
Hoseok woke up the next day, with Yoongi in his arms. Hoseok slowly drew lazy patterns on the stark bruises littering Yoongi's pale skin as the elder nuzzled into his tan chest, sleeping peacefully, mouth open cutely and little snores escaping him. Hoseok reached out again and booped his nose, not being able to resist it.
Soft hair, rushed past his fingers as he threaded finger's through the elder's hair and the elder let out a sigh of contentment.
"Morning." Hoseok muttered softly pressing a kiss on the elder's forehead.
Hoseok tried waking Yoongi up again with another series of chaste kisses but still Yoongi didn't wake up. Hoseok huffed out a laugh at the elder's unbothered state and slowly unwrapped himself from Yoongi.
Just as he was getting himself out of bed, a paly veiny arm wrapped around his waist and pulled him back in.
" 'M cold." Yoongi mumbled breathing against Hoseok's back as he spooned the younger.
"Oh now you're awake?" Hoseok laughed, truning around in the elder's embrace to find a disheveled haired and groggy eyed Yoongi.
Yoongi's cat eyed beauty in the early morning sunlight when he woke up from sleep, always managed to knock the breath out of him and this time wasn't an exception either.
"Beautiful." Hoseok murmured and Yoongi smirked stretching like a cat..
"I stink." Yoongi grumbled.
"After last night, I'd be surprised if you didn't." Hoseok teased and Yoongi blushed covering his bare form with blankets as if he wanted to burrow himself in.
"Don't go. Stay." Yoongi pleaded and demanded at the same time but Hoseok shook his head.
"I'm pretty sure you are hungry and cant walk. So I'll make the breakfast." Hoseok said bluntly and Yoongi was about to protest by trying to get up bet fell back with a wince.
"Okay. I agree. Go make me food peasant." Yoongi waged a dramatic finger and Hoseok laughed at the elder's antics and obliged with an 'as you wish my baby.'
Soon Hoseok returned with breakfast just as Yoongi slipped into a robe after bathing himself somehow. Hoseok set the delicious smelling waffles with chocolate syrup and apple juice on the table as he gestured Yoongi to sit which Yoongi did, after a lot of wincing.
"I liked being a bottom." Yoongi suddenly stated. "But it's a pain in the ass."
Hoseok stared at Yoongi for a beat of silence before spewing out bright sunshine filled laughter.
"Hyung." Hoseok laughed, "Did you just make a pun?"
Yoongi nodded proudly biting into his waffles, smiling without restrain.
"I love you." Hoseok mumbled as he tore into his own breakfast.
"I love you too." Yoongi said as he watched the younger eat, waiting for him to finish chewing before, he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to the younger's lips.
"So," Hoseok started once they had finished. "First day of work tomorrow. Wanna go on that crazy date I promised you before that?"
Yoongi nodded smiling brightly. "Sure."
"We are going to start work tomorrow." Yoongi suddenly stated as if just realizing it, clasping his arms around Hoseok's.
"What if this doesn't work out?" Yoongi asked and Hoseok pulled him into his chest in a reassuring hug.
"As long as we are together, I can smile." Hoseok declared and Yoongi giggled at the cheesiness.
"We'll walk down this path together." Hoseok said pulling back and joining their pinkies in between them in a child's promise filled with a bright future.
"Together." Yoongi echoed.
"Forever." Hoseok did not hesitate.
