Chapter 3

(yoongi)

Crumbled papers with wasted ink on it littered the ground beneath him as he tried to write even as the clock struck 4 in the morning.

His eyes weighed a ton and his movements were sluggish. He couldn't find the energy to write the words that burned in his heart and the emotions that raged in him like a storm.

It was at moments like these that, being an insomniac sucked.

He could take the sleeping pills that his shrink had prescribed him. But he had quickly found out that taking those pills caused his chest to feel like it was on fire and despite the sleep he got, his mental process took longer than usual and he couldn't write whenever he wanted to. So what was the use?

He sighed. He closed his eyes to let the darkness comfort him for a moment. But as he did, a landscape painted itself behind his eyelids. It was painted so brilliantly, with vivid colors that beckoned him with a memory.

He stood up grabbed his coat and prayed to all nonexistent gods out there that he remembered the way to that place.

It was still chilly and dark outside and he hugged himself to keep at least some of his warmth to himself in the chilly night as he walked to the park. He drunkenly walked himself through the park, behind the hedges and the path beyond and finally reaching the place in his mind's eye.

A relived sigh left his lips, clouding the air in front of him for a moment before disappearing. He slowly walked himself to the tree like before and settled against the roots. This place gave him a sense of security. Weird, since he had just come here a day before.

The way the trees stood protectively over the broken and dirty wishing fountain reminded him of something. He couldn't put his finger on it though. His eyes raked to the stars shining so brightly, his eyes found the waning moon.

So bright, even as she disappeared lonely into the night. She was dark as she was bright, covered in bruises yet she stood so proud in the middle of the sky.

 She was beautiful.

Suddenly the sky seemed to grow darker and the moon seemed to disappear, or was it his eyes closing up? A relieved smile made his way into his face as he sank into sleeps embracing arms. At last.
