FOR AUSTIN KENNEDY school felt the same everyday, go to class and study. so when he walked into sikowitz's class this day he was decently surprised to see his best friends boyfriend get rubbed by an unknown girl.

"um what is happening here?" his voice came out airy, still a little shocked at the sight in front of him. perhaps that's why no one batted an eye at him, and the scene continued when the door opened again. the visual was now complete as his best friend, jade west, had officially entered the room.

"dude, why are you rubbing my boyfriend?" and there it was, this new girl sadly didn't know the patriarchy of this school yet, or else she wouldn't be rubbing all over beck and stuck in this situation.

"i just...i spilled coffee on..." she sputtered out, trying to find the words to say to the fuming jade west in front of her. austin watched the situation at hand from next to jade trying to find the right words to say to calm the tension.

"get away from him." jade gestured over to the side as she spoke to the girl in front of her.

"jade go easy on her. she's clearly new, and was just trying to help." austin spoke again, this time louder where the real roughness of it came through. he turned to jade and rested a hand on her shoulder, before going to his seat, hoping his words calmed her down some.

"yeah, relax." beck added, before pecking jade's cheek. no one got the chance to add onto the conversation anymore as sikowitz finally burst through the other door of his classroom.

"oh my god, there's a huge fire!" he exclaimed, causing panic to uproar through the classroom as everyone pushed and shoved to get to an exit, well everyone except austin, because really the fire alarm wasn't even going off.

"kidding, kidding," he paused as everyone looked at him, "just wanted to get your blood pumping, which i did. ha! well except for austin, as always." austin smirked at the teacher as everyone stared with a dead pan look on their face at the joke, before returning to their seats for class to actual start.

"alright!" sikowitz closes the door behind him, "now, let's get started, rumps in chairs." he throws his bag to the side as he stepped onto his mini stage at the front of the classroom.

"he's our teacher?" the new girl asked andré, who was sat next to her. he nodded in response and turned back to the front.

"okay, first, i'd like to introduce our new student, tori." the teacher introduces her to the class, and they all let out small claps for her. tori waves back to introduce herself quickly.

"and i'd like to thank tori for her generous gift of $2, which she handed me outside this morning. not necessary, but much appreciated." sikowitz finished. austin furrowed his brows and looked towards the girl confused by the fact that she gave their teacher $2 on a whim this morning.

"why'd you give him $2" andré questioned before anyone else could ask her the same.

"i thought he was homeless." she shot back in response.

"now today we're going to continue our study in group improv." he addresses the class first before point to tori, now shifting the attention of his voice to her, "tori, i assume you're familiar with improv?" he assumes.

"no," tori responds back, this confused austin, because how did she get into the school if she knows nothing about the courses she taking.

"okay, crash course. improv, acting without a script, which means the actors must make up their own actions and dialogue as they perform the scene. understood? excellent." sikowitz speaks giving tori no time to respond, before he just jumps into the next thought.

"jade, you will captain the first group of the day. choose your actors." he calls jade up for the first activity of the class, and austin already feels like this won't end well after the whole coffee on jade's boyfriend thing.

"cat, austin, beck, and tori." she chooses, really emphasizing on tori's name, as the rest join her on stage. tori looks confused while andré just gestures up to the stage as a motion for her to join the others.

"okay, let's give them a place" after the teacher makes this statement robbie is quick to raise his hand to give an option

"home," he names a place as sikowitz quickly agrees and repeats what he said, now writing it on the board.

"ooh, real creative." rex makes a jab at robbie, who quickly shuts it down and tells him to be quiet. all he gets in return is a slap to the face from rex.

"and now i have need a situation." sikowitz comes back to looking for a response from his students, completely ignoring what happened with robbie and rex.

"big news," andré added to the plot created for the scene.

"andré, nobody wants to see big nudes." austin was confused as to how sikowitz had even heard that from what andré said, because they were in a school environment so why would he say that for an improv scene ever. even jade turned to look at him confused by what he said because it didn't make any sense.

"news," andré made himself more clear that time so their teacher knew what he was saying.

"ah, well that's different." the teacher says in realization "big news." he exclaims as he goes to write it on the board

jade turns to tori in thought before speaking, "uh, why don't you go wait in the hall?"

"uh, okay." tori complies, and does what she's asked to, by waiting in the hall for her cue.

"okay, at home, big news...and action." sikowitz starts the scene

austin and cat kneel on the ground, and pretend to play with something in the carpet, while jade walks towards a standing beck.

"hey, babe, how was work today?" she asks endearingly, playing her role of a wife.

"ah, i got fired." beck responds to the question asked

"again," austin sadly adds to the conversation, acting like the couples son.

"it's okay," jade reassures austin in the scene, "i have some great news, that'll cheer up this whole family." she adds to the end to bring it back to the big news plot.

she walks over to the open door where tori is standing, as austin and cat excitedly ask about the surprise.

"i went to the animal shelter, and got us...a dog." she answers the queries of her 'kids' as she brings tori back into the classroom and onto the stage where the rest of the actors stood.

"uh yep, i'm the new family dog, woof." tori starts not really embracing the role well.

"sikowitz, will you tell this amateur that dogs can't talk, and that they don't walk on two legs?" she turns to their teacher after seeing the performance given. the man is distracted by the coconut he's drinking, so she yells for him again, this time gaining his attention.

"oh, i'm sorry i was sucking the milk out of this coconut," he explains himself after the mistake before addressing what jade wanted him to, "but it's true,
tori, if you're going to play a dog, be a dog."

everyone turns to look at her, before she goes down to the floor and lets out a woof in response. sikowitz starts the scene again after this

"uh, i went to the animal shelter and got us a dog." jade quickly jumps back into the scene they started before. austin and cat act like excited children and go to 'pet' tori like she was a dog

while 'playing' with jade acts like she's looking through the dogs fur "uh-oh, looks like this dog has bugs in her fur." tori continues to be a dog but this time her woof is a little confused

"eww."

"gross," austin and cat bot exclaim and step back in disgust.

"oh, it's okay." jade starts looking at the two.

"i read on the internet that coffee works great for getting rid of fur bugs." jade turns and walks to a random student and grabs his coffee from his hand. she walks back on stage and starts taking the lid off of it.

"maybe you shouldn't um..." beck starts trying to stop jade from doing this action

"jade." andré also tried to object.

"jade, i don't think this is a-" austin also tries to stop her, but this time it's too late as she pours the drink right over tori's head, completely drenching her in the caffeinated drink. what makes it worse is the fact that everyone sits and watches this happen in absolute silence. tori stands up with coffee dripping from her head as she looks at jade.

"what's the prob, dog?" jade retorts at the girl, and smirks as she walks out of the classroom in embarrassment over the situation. andré runs after her and austin walks up to her as beck clearly wasn't going to say anything.

"jade, don't you think that was a bit harsh? it's only her first day." austin calmly asks jade, the calmness almost made his voice sound serene rather than rough, and slight raspy.

the lack of response gave him the answer he needed as he sat back in his seat, slightly disappointed in the girl he felt strongly about. but what he didn't know, was that the look on his face made a small pit form in jade's stomach. it was a feeling that was strange to be evoked from the boy it was felt from, but still it wasn't strong enough for her to act on yet.

THE KENNEDY HOUSEHOLD was a quant household of 3, a mother, a son, and a daughter. but it was a still a very loving home. so when austin and dallas had made their way to the dinner table that night it was due time for their usual family conversations.

"i think you're due for a haircut." his mom started the same conversation she had for the past week.

"i think not, and if so we're only doing a trim, this is too beautiful to cut too short." he said shooting down the option of a haircut to his mom.

"no, i think she's onto something." dallas added in jokingly, to tease her older brother.

"now why are you all ganging up on me right now. is this what i get for being the only guy in this house." austin whine and put his head down on the table, putting off on eating again for the dramatics of it.

"oh you big baby," his mom patted his head before continuing her statement, "fine if a trim is all i can get then you're trimming your hair. that's final."

"fine." austin grumbled lifting his head from the table, and going back to eating his dinner.

"so..." austin nudges dallas' foot under the table to gain her attention, "how's freshman year treating you so far, you liking your music classes?" he asks knowing music is her passion

dallas perked up at the mention of this, and started animatedly telling austin about her classes and how the year had been so far. austin smiled at how happy she was about going to hollywood arts, just glad his sister was having a fun time. he was mainly glad she was doing something she loved, and had dreamed about since he started at hollywood arts the year prior.

but the best part of it all was the wide smile on the kennedy mom's face, the sight of her kids getting along and having great conversations always made her happy. she knew she never had anything to worry about because her kids would always look out for each other. the truth is that the kennedy siblings will always be there for each other because that's what they've always known, and always will know.

the rest of dinner was spent with loving conversations, filled with laughter and joy. that was how dinner was everyday in the kennedy household, the three of them making happy memories, in their happy little home.

CLASS BEGAN THE NEXT DAY and the missing presence of tori was noticed by all, until she walked through the door and everyone turned back at the sound of her. jade sat up straighter at the sight of the girl, visibly annoyed that she actually came back.

"tori, you're back." sikowitz turned around and greeted her, while erasing the white board.

"have you ever thought about coming in through the window?" he immediately started quizzing the girl, only mere seconds after she walked through the door.

tori scrunches her face in confusion before replying, "no."

"think about it," he starts, gaining an eyebrow raise out of the girl, "now sit, sit." he ushers her to sit in a chair.

"okay, today, we're going to do some alphabetical improv." he starts to fully address the class now that tori has found her way to a seat.

"'what is alphabetical improv,' you ask? so i answer. it's when we give a letter to the first actor who speaks in the scene. if we used the letter 'a' as an example, then the actor must make his first word start with the letter 'a' which might go something like..." he continues now with his definition of the lesson, leaving a blank space for someone to answer his prompt.

"apples are falling out of my butt." beck starts as sikowitz walks up to him.

"lovely," sikowitz deadpans before continuing, "now, the next actor who speaks must start his line with the next letter of the alphabet, in this case, b, so he might say..." he continues to demonstrate by leaving an open space again for the next student to jump in.

"bring those apples, so that we may all enjoy the fresh fruit from beck's butt." andré now adds as their teacher places his hands on his shoulders from behind.

"charming. now who wants to lead the first group?" sikowitz adds, as he is now finished explaining the instructions of the exercise.

"i do." tori is quick to raise her hand and interject, in order to make sure she gets to lead the group today.

"all right, tori. choose your actors." the teacher beckons tori to the front of the room to choose who will participate in her group.

she ponders for a second before making her choice, "okay. andré, cat, beck," she pauses for a moment before adding her final choice, "and jade." austin senses this is some sort of scheme, and that this won't end well.

jade raises an eyebrow at this, "yeah, you." tori snaps back, and jade stands at once and walks to the stage with the other actors. jade out of pettiness makes sure she kisses beck before they start the scene.

"jade, kiss your boyfriend on your own time." sikowitz interrupts the moment between the two, and he walks in between them to stand with the other students.

"oh, i will." jade responds with an eye brow raise.

"okay, if you start your line with the wrong letter," sikowitz makes a buzzer noise, "you're out. robbie give us a letter."

"p." rex answers instead of robbie

"p." sikowitz relays what rex had previously said.

"oh, i was gonna say p." robbie complains to rex over the matter.

"okay, the scene can be about anything you want. the first letter of the first line is p. tori, action." sikowitz stars the scene.

"please go take a shower." tori retorts to jade immediately, and austin confirms his thoughts of this not ending well.

"quit telling me what to do." jade snaps back at tori. before beck walks to stand in between the girls.

"relax girls, let's all try to get along." beck tries to nicely get his point across, so that this doesn't get out of hand. austin thanks beck in his head for his attempt.

"totally." cat adds on after, only for sikowitz to buzz her out for her use of the wrong letter.

"cat your line had to start with an s." sikowitz explained her mistake to her.

"oh, my life's the worst!" she exclaims, before getting happy again when sikowitz gives her candy.

"all right, andré, the letter s is to you." the teacher now points at andré to continue the scene.

"uh...somethin' just bit my toe." he points to his foot.

"turtle. that turtle just bit his toe." tori runs and points to a spot on the ground going along with andre's addition to the scene.

continuing to be rude towards tori jade adds her next line, "unbelievable that you're even here."

"very immature of you to say that." her boyfriend turns and speaks to her.

"c'mon andré, w!" sikowitz urges him to find the next words to say.

"what if the turtle bite broke my toe-bone?" he feigns the feeling of concern over his foot to the other three in the scene.

"x-rays are the only way to find out." tori plays into the scene.

"you should shut up." jade continues to not follow the scene and berate tori instead.

"zap! i just healed your toe with my magic finger." beck shifts the focus back to the scene, trying to steer clear from the path jade keeps taking.

"thanks!" andré responds to the act of kindness beck did in the scene. but sikowitz is quick to buzz him out.

"andré, your line had to start with an a. sit down"

"aw, and i just got my toe-bone fixed." andré goes and sits back in his chair.

"tori, letter a to you." sikowitz shifts back to the task of the scene, ordering the girl to pick up where they left off.

"aliens are the only people who can heal toes by finger-zapping." she placed her attention on beck when she said her line.

"by the way," jade blows a raspberry into the air still on her mission to bring tori down. austin is watching and can feel the wrinkles forming on his forehead from the scene in front of him.

"correct, i am an alien." tori gasps at becks words in fake shock.

"oh, a twist." sikowitz is loving every second of the scene in front of him.

"don't hurt me, please." tori begs beck. austin is enjoying the acting going on here and actually thinks the plot is interesting if you take out the off topic aspects of it.

"even though she's extremely annoying." jade doesn't give up on the point she's trying to make.

"fainting, because i can't breathe your earths air." beck holds onto tori's arm as he falls to ground.

"gosh, it fainted." tori speaks as her and jade look at each other.

"excellent! tori and jade, keep going. the next letter's h." sikowitz claps at the scene he is witnessing

"hey why don't you go jump of that cliff over there." jade starts.

tori is quick on her feet, "i think you should."

"just where do you come from?"

     "kangaroos"

"lousy animals, kangaroos. they're awkward and dirty."

     "maybe they learned from you."

"ooh." the class is in shock at the sight in front of them, but all austin can feel is worry

"no one talks to me like that"

     "obviously someone should"

"please run in front of a bus."

"quite obnoxious of you to say."

     "really?"

     "sure was."

     "thanks."

"up your nose, i see boogers."

     "very clever."

     "wish you'd thought of it?"

"x marks the spot i'd like to punch."

     "your finger smells weird."

"zero is what you are on a scale from 1 to 10."

"and back to the letter a." sikowitz places the pieces for their back and forth banter to continue.

"as if i care what you think."

     "better watch yourself."

     "can't take it?"

     "don't push me."

     "eat your pants!"

"you eat your pants! wait!" jade pleads after she made a mistake in her the letter she started with. but the buzzer sounds from sikowitz anyways.

"sorry jade, the next letter was-"

"f! i know!" she storms off to her seat, as sikowitz continues the scene with the letter g.

"get up, alien." tori helps beck up as he finally awakens.

"head...feels dizzy" beck acts disoriented as he stands, while tori thinks for a moment.

"i know what'll make you feel better." it looks like a light bulb went off in her head. jade raises her brows at this intrigued in what tori has to say

"jumping jacks?" beck questions, not knowing what to say.

"kiss me." tori says, which makes shock spread over austin and jade's faces.

"let's do it." he responds back before leaning in to kiss her, jade has a shocked look on her face while everyone else cheers at the sight, everyone except austin.

"man, i love this school." tori ends after they break away from the kiss.

class is dismissed, and jade is quick to walk out the room with an upset look at her face. austin follows her, knowing she needs comfort.

"i'm sorry he did that, he could've easily said 'let's not' but he didn't." austin had his arm around her shoulder in comfort. jade leaned in and rested her head upon his shoulder.

"i don't like that girl, she's bad news." jade mumbled in response, clearly letting her emotions get the best of her in that moment. austin shrugged it off, and had the feeling that her opinions might change in the future once they spend more time together.

what austin didn't know is that this is the moment that started to catapult a feeling through jade, that is so small she ignores and chooses to not act on. i mean she's in a happy relationship that she's committed to. of course she's not starting to gain a crush her best friend

first chapter done!! i literally when watching this episode got jumpscared by rex bc the puppet is different in this episode than every other episode and it kinda looks creepy ngl...anyways i added a small scene to show off the kennedy family a little. i also had to hold back from adding so much of austin and jade bc i want this to be more slow burn so the inklings are there but not fully!! hopefully austin will be feature more in the chapters but this episode is kind of hard to shift the focus on him and i want the chapters to equally focus everyone. each chapter will also be sorta long bc it's one chapter per episode, so i hope you enjoyed the long chapters! ok i'm done rambling now, see you next year with the next update!!
