Previously, a new enemy called RaSaKun seems to be amassing a group of followers, including the Code:Breaker's Ace, Ogami. While Toki and Sakura get in trouble at the park and Yuuki meets one of RaSaKun's followers, Masaomi Heike, the second in command in the Code:Breakers calls Rui Hachiouji (#5) to a meeting. What will come of this? Why has he called her here? And will RaSaKun cause mayhem here as well? Let's see what happens in Torn, part 5 of chapter 1, Code: Power. (Jeez, this is a really complicated name, huh? Ah well, moving on.)

"Please tell me you didn't call me all the way out here for this."

"I did not," Masaomi affirms, putting down the book. "Fun and games aside, I have been noticing some strange happenings lately. Many of our kind have been found dead, and the rarebreeds seem to be even scarcer. Even those we have tagged are disappearing. Toki can't watch all of them, it seems."

"So do you want me to keep an eye on the rarebreeds with Toki or do you want me to find what's causing these disturbances."

"I want you to find the source. No offense, but you've never been the babysitting type. Yuuki and Ogami would be better suited for helping Toki."

"Does Ogami know that you're running things behind his back?" Rui asks, bluntly.

"I assume so." Masaomi dismisses her concerns with a wave of his hand, "And honestly, the boy should thank me for it. He's ... not the leading and decision-making type. He'd rather receive the orders than give them. He hasn't made one decision or watched for any threats since he's become the Ace. So, I decided to handle them for him."

"Well, he's not going to be happy if he hears you put it like that. Our Ace also isn't the sort to admit his own shortcomings. Or another's skill ..."

"Indeed. Now, I'll handle other threats, or rather, keep my hands on all the strings. I'll gather Yuuki and tell him to help Toki defend the remaining rarebreeds and I'll get the new Prime Minister to tell Ogami the same thing. You, my dear, need to get started finding the source. I'll have the others report to you anything they find." Rui starts to leave, but Masaomi interrupts, "And dear, be careful. There's a reason you're only number 5."

If looks could kill, Masaomi Heike would have an obituary by now. Rui Hachiouji sighs, walking away.

The gorgeous setting sun the two were looking at was the same that Yuuki Tenpouin, red-headed code: breaker had seen when he was speaking with Nikki Maru, rainbow-haired street kid, who left with a mysterious man.

It was also the setting sun that Toki Fujiwara and Sakura Sakurakouji saw while the strange silhouette spoke to Sakura and the one that had set minutes before Rei Ogami killed a man and met with the same silhouette.

The bleeding red clouds streaked across the sky as the sun dipped down and the world was left in darkness.
