Chapter 21

The next morning, I was healed and my muscles weren't torn anymore. Whatever that thing was, it healed me completely.

A nurse came in and checked everything.

"You healed that quickly?" She asks, taken aback.

"I guess so," I replied, also taken aback.

She ran some more tests on me, then told me I was free to go. She also said I should watch everything just in case and then she left the room so I could get changed back in my ninja attire. I wanted to see Mariko first, then I wanted to visit Naomi and Kakashi after that.

I walked out of the room and looked in each room until I found her.

I looked at her, seeing she had an oxygen mask on her face and she was sleeping. There was a heart monitor on her too. I hope she can get through this.

Now, I just needed to find Kakashi.

I found his room. He was reading a book and he looked up when he heard me walk in his room. He looked surprised to see that I was out already.

"Hana?"

"I healed fast apparently," I said, walking in his room. "They said I was free to go, but I wanted to see you and Naomi before I leave,"

He put the book that he was reading down.

"I won't be out for another week. They said I had a muscle strain, because those ninjas who attacked after you went after Mariko, made me overuse my strength," He said.

"You should be careful then, Kakashi. Our team needs you, you know," I chuckle.

I leaned over to give him a hug.

"I'm just glad you're not hurt too bad,"

I hugged him for a while without realizing it. I blushed when I did realize at the last minute and pulled away, clearing my throat.

"I should probably uh, check on Naomi now. I'll see you around!" I said and rushed out of his room.

I gave him one last look before walking away from his room, seeing his face was turning a light pink color.

I searched almost all of the rooms, trying to find Naomi. I eventually found her and I was going to walk in, but I didn't because she was lying down with wrappings around her eyes and some guys from the Hyuga Clan were sitting around her. She had some sort of green marking on her forehead.

I decided to leave them alone.

Walking out of the hospital was the best feeling ever. The fresh air of the Leaf Village was refreshing.

I saw Obito already walking over here, so I caught up with him.

"You're out already?" he asks.

"Yeah, I guess I healed pretty fast," I replied. "Now how about that ramen we agreed on yesterday?"

He laughed, seeing how my mouth was starting to water at the sound of Ichiraku.

"Okay then, let's go," He said and led the way to Ichiraku.

We got there and took a seat on the stools. Ayame saw me and grinned.

"It's nice to see you again, Hana!" She said before going to the back.

Teuchi poked his head out.

"Hana? She's back?" He asks.

"I am back," I said.

He had a huge smile on his face.

"Well, today it's on the house because I heard from some others that you went through a lot," Teuchi said and took Obito's order.

After that, he went to the back to start cooking the ramen and my mouth was watering at the thought of his ramen and at the smell.

I felt Obito staring at me and I started to get fidgety.

"Is there something on my face?" I ask him, turning to face him.

He looked away really fast at the menu.

"N-No,"

"You're oblivious." The "thing" snickered.

I was irked.

"Shut it!" I shouted at it.

Obito looked at me, baffled.

I blushed out of embarrassment.

"Sorry. I thought I heard something," I laughed nervously.

Teuchi came back with our ramen and I started wolfing mine down. I couldn't help but think about what Anko and Kurenai said. Could I be crushing on him? Or, was that just their assumption?

Now that I thought about it more, the face he makes when he's confused is actually kind of cute.

Why did I just think that? What's going on with me?

I shook myself out of my thoughts and finished my ramen. I ordered another bowl, that I insisted I'd pay for and Obito was finished with his food, so he just ordered a drink.

"Um, I guess I can tell you what was I going to say earlier...uh, well you see-" Obito started.

"Um, I guess I can tell you this..uh..well you see-" Obito started

"OBITO! HANA! MY YOUTHFUL FRIENDS!" Guy's loud voice cut him off.

Both of us jumped and we both turned to Guy.

"Kakashi isn't feeling well, so I challenge you! Rival #2!" Guy challenged while pointing a finger at me.

"You're on, Guy!" I smirked, then turned back to face Obito. "What were you going to say?"

Obito looked annoyed and rolled his eyes.

"Nothing, don't worry about it,"

"Then let's spar now!" Guy shouted cheerfully and Obito followed us to a training ground.

He stood on the sidelines to watch us spar.

Guy and I stood on opposite sides of the training grounds and we both had a look of determination.

"You ready, Hana?"

"Yup,"

"Leaf hurricane!" Guy aimed a kick at me.

He nearly landed a hit on me, but I was able to dodge in time. For only knowing taijutsu, he's really strong. I'm lucky he didn't hit me because that kick seemed really powerful.

Since Guy missed, he kicked the tree and it fell down. I blinked with surprise.

"Sharp reflexes!" Guy remarked.

I weaved hand signs, "Water style, raging waves!"

Water gushed out of my mouth like a waterfall and it caused Guy to lose his footing and it distanced us.

I used this as another opportunity to attack.

"Water style, mudball!"

Guy was able to successfully dodge the ball of mud that was shot at him and he started running with surprising speed. He aimed a punch at me and I blocked it, but that wasn't a good idea. His taijutsu was crazy strong, so it hurt my arm.

"Water style, water shurikens!"

Guy used his leaf hurricane to kick the water shurikens away and they came back at me. One nicked my arm, but I was able to dodge the rest. Guy didn't waste any time with another attack, he hit me again and I slammed against a tree because of how much force was used.

My pride as a ninja was sinking even lower. One simple kick and I'm already slammed against this damn tree.

After a while, our spar ended in a tie. I was going to use my raging waves again, but with more force and he used his leaf hurricane to make it go the other way. Our strengths combined had knocked down about four trees.

I saw Obito freaking out because a tree almost hit him and he moved quickly to avoid being struck by the tree.

Guy and I stared at each other, stunned.

"Good spar, Hana. I'll be back to challenge you once I get stronger!" Guy said while grinning, making his teeth sparkle.

I didn't do my best today because of the way Rentaro beat me so easily and how someone held me down while Mariko got hurt.

"See you around, Guy," I waved as he left the training ground.

"Hana, are you sure you're okay? Your fighting seems kind of off today," Obito remarked.

Great, even he noticed my strength was almost nonexistent today.

"I'm just tired," I said, starting to get pissed off because I couldn't get Rentaro's smug smirk out of my head.

Damn him.

Rin and Minato found us, telling us that they needed to talk to us.

"What's up?" Obito asks.

"I've registered you guys for the Chunin Exams since Hana is out of the hospital now," Minato said.

I was excited now.

"Does this mean you're going to teach me that new jutsu now?!" I ask, anxious.

"Not yet, Hana, I'll teach you sometime this week," Minato chuckled. "I'm going to head back home, so see you then,"

They left the training grounds and it started to get late.

"We should probably head home now," I said, looking up at the sky.

"Yeah, it's getting late. I'll walk you home," Obito said.

We started walking and he was walking really close to me as if he was being protective. His closeness started to make me blush.

Once we made it to my house, I gave him a hug and he returned it. I didn't let go though, because I liked how warm he felt. Unfortunately, the door burst open and it made us jump, forcing the hug to stop.

I saw it was Jiraiya, who had a sly smirk on his face. Obito was looking away from me.

"I'll um, see you tomorrow."

Obito left to go home and Jiraiya rushed me inside the house.

"Come on! Kushina made some really good stir-fry!" Jiraiya said as I took my shoes off before stepping in the living room.

We both walked over to the dining table and Jiraiya gave me a curious look.

"So, what's this I hear about you taking on dangerous missions by yourself?" He asks.

Kushina came in with a huge bowl of stiry fry and we served ourselves.

I explained to him what happened.

"I see," Jiraiya said and looked at Minato. "Sounds like you have lots of potentials if you think you're strong enough to take on a mission that dangerous by yourself,"

"Just be careful, because a move like that can get you killed." Jiraiya added and started eating his food.

We all started catching up as we ate dinner. I was still bothered by Rentaro, Yukio, and Rika though.
